The Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa is a sports motorcycle made by Suzuki since 1999. It immediately won acclaim as the world's fastest production motorcycle, with a top speed of 303 to 312 km/h (188 to 194 mph).
In 1999, fears of a European regulatory backlash or import ban[6][7][8][9] led to an informal agreement between the Japanese and European manufacturers to govern the top speed of their motorcycles at an arbitrary limit starting in late 2000.[10] The media-reported value for the speed agreement in miles per hour was consistently 186 mph, while in kilometers per hour it varied from 299 to 303 km/h, which is typical given unit conversion rounding errors. This figure may also be affected by a number of external factors,[11] as can the power and torque values.
The conditions under which this limitation was adopted led to the 1999 and 2000[2][3] Hayabusa's title remaining, at least technically, unassailable, since no subsequent model could go faster without being tampered with sans early 2000 models.[13] After the much anticipated Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R of 2000 fell 6 km/h (4 mph) short of claiming the title, the Hayabusa secured its place as the fastest standard production bike of the 20th century. This gives the unrestricted 1999 models even more cachet with collectors.
Besides its speed, the Hayabusa has been lauded by many reviewers for its all-round performance, in that it does not drastically compromise other qualities like handling, comfort, reliability, noise, fuel economy or price in pursuit of a single function. Jay Koblenz of Motorcycle Consumer News commented, "If you think the ability of a motorcycle to approach 190 mph or reach the quarter-mile in under 10 seconds is at best frivolous and at worst offensive, this still remains a motorcycle worthy of just consideration. The Hayabusa is Speed in all its glory. But Speed is not all the Hayabusa is.

The third-generation Hayabusa was announced on February 5, 2021. Cycle World and Motorcyclist magazines referred to the third generation 2022 model year Hayabusa as GSX1300RR rather than GSX1300R, with no mention of what that might signify.

Typically, a new sportbike model sells well in its first year, and then sees its numbers decline every year as it grows older. The Hayabusa reversed this pattern, selling in greater numbers every year from the 1999 launch through the 2008 revision. From its debut in 1999 to June 2007 over 100,000 Hayabusas were sold worldwide. In the United States in each of the years 2005 and 2006, over 10,000 units were sold.
It was predicted that the gentlemen's agreement speed cap would hurt sales, because buyers would not want a bike that was hobbled with a speed limiter, even riders who would never approach the hypothetical maximum. However, sales in the United States increased year after year between its release in 1999 and 2006, rising from just a few thousand units in 1999 to over 10,000 in 2006.

Although a little bit conservative, Suzuki makes high quality and high value motorcycles. They manufacture all of them in Japan. I had a bike from this brand (SV650) and it was spotless. Incredible value for money.

I agree with the comments made that Zuk engineers are indeed amazing. look no further than the 99 busa. a bike that redefined the industry and changed it forever. I owned an 06 busa that i bought new for 12 years. sold it in 2018. wanted something new. that bike was amazing. naturally i did a bit of motor work to it. but damn what a bullet proof motor. i heard all the rumors for several years of a gen 3 but finally gave up and got a 2018 zx14r and i love it. i bought it for the power and the better ride position. that said the ole bus is still my favorite. i got all excited when i heard the gen 3 was really coming out. when i saw it i was amazed. damn they hit it out of the park on looks. but when i saw that they kept the same 1340 as the gen 2 i literally threw shit at my computer. !!!! i could not believe it. Zuk gave up the king of speed competition. didnt even try. man was i pissed. glad i bought the ninja. i so wish they would come out with a 1441. if they did it would be great. zuk does a better job in the engine business than Kawasaki does in my opinion. the supercharger notwithstanding. but its like they didnt even want to try. i get it i guess from a money perspective. busa's probably outsell zx14r bikes 5 to one but dammit man there is something to be said for bragging rights!!!!!! ok off rant now.
You are right about Suzuki building bulletproof engines, I had a 1997 RF-900R and that scooter was absolutely indestructible, I loved that bike. I recently purchased a 2022 ZX-14 and I love everything about it, it's way more comfortable than the Hayabusa, especially on long trips. It definitely is a bit long in the tooth technology wise, whereas the new Hayabusa is a 2 wheeled tech monster. I think the horsepower and top speed wars between manufacturers is over, I mean seriously, how many times are you actually going to go 186 mph, that's not a realistic every day speed. I'm hoping that Kawasaki builds a up to date tech wise successor to the ZX-14 because I'd never purchase a Hayabusa, the bike is very polarizing in the looks department..... beautiful from one angle and butt ugly from another, but Suzuki built a badass motorcycle way back in 1999 and they are still building an even more badass Hayabusa today.

I have Suzuki gixxer 250sf ….went for ride had an incident where my bike gixxer faced big pothole I thought I am gone and suspension hit very h ard but didn’t effect vehicle..Handel bar wobbled for some seconds and bike come to control …this I have faced 2 times…it had saved my life …trust increased for the brand Suzuki 🖤🖤🖤

One of my fav motorcycle
This video touches me deeply as the PROUD owner of 2 Gen1 Hayabusas (1999/2006). I will not buy another Busa until Suzuki outperforms the RIVAL (we all know who), Suzuki NEEDS to get in the game, since my first busa purchase I have bought 5 more bikes and only 1 of those was a Suzuki... Other manufacturers are OUT PERFORMING and providing their customers with top of the line electronics as well as MORE POWER.
Suzuki.. IF YOU WANT MY MONEY, give me a supercharged or turbo option as well as all the electronics money can buy at an affordable price. Am I asking for too much, NAH... there are other manufacturers doing it already.

r1200gs와 vstrom1050xt를 가지고 있다. gs는 오프로드 성능이 더 뛰어나고 좋은 차지만, xt를 타다가 gs를 타면 고장난 엔진소리가 들린다. gs는 그 소리가 정상이다. xt는 전기차처럼 조용하고 깔끔하게 달린다. 둘 다 좋아하는 바이크다.
