I like the way Noraly shows the rooms she stays in as well as the foods she eats. You feel like you’ve been to all these places. I started at Season 6 and will watch each and every one she’s put out until I’ve watched them all. I’m hooked!

Those of us raised in North America are so oblivious to how different life is in Central America. There is a charm in seeing local farmers walking their cattle down dirt roads, but more importantly, Itchy Boots does us such a service in reminding us life is much harder even in the nations that are our neighbors. Living good honorable lives requires perspective. Thank you Noraly, Boots for always providing it so beautifully. For the first time in my life, I want to visit Nicaragua. But, on to Honduras!

Totally agree. I enjoy seeing the country and back roads in Noralys videos. Besides less traffic, you might have to wait for the odd cattle drive every once in a while, which is part of the journey. Besides, everyone know what a city looks like anyways. LoL

I lived in South America with my family for 10 years so I know there is truth to what you say. But as perspective one can argue that living conditions in the USA can be just as harsh - or worse. Some Native American reservations have living conditions comparable to central and South America.

As of just a few hours ago, I have watched and liked all Itchy Boots episodes. I do know they’re just as good or better when you watch them over. It used to be I was focused on the riding, scenery, catching the vibe of different places but, now it’s the message to live large, people are good, kindness is the most important thing. I see new things on rewatches. Thank you, Noraly. I wish you all the best.

Good job, Mate! I guess I have binged through the videos like 4 or 5 times now… 😇 It's the vibe I get from Noraly's videos. It tells me that the world _is_ the way it should be. The world _is_ beautiful and people _are_ kind and sweet and good.
Maybe we just have to develop more intolerance to the factors that push these facts into the background so often.

@@trevorjameson3213 IIRC, she was in Australia in her 20's in order to fulfill some of her fieldwork obligations for her (subsequently abandoned) Masters or PhD in GeoChemistry. She was not a motobiker traveller back then. She has likely seen *a wee bit* of Australia as a backpacker. After her stint there she did subsequently visit and travel around New Zealand (some 7 or so years ago), again only as a backpacker and thus would've only barely scratched the surface of this amazing country which I believe is regarded as a geologist's Mecca because there so much complex and cool stuff that's 'going off' 😃.
I would love for her to re-visit NZ & ride the roads 'less travelled' and to go to places like... for example Whatawhata. Where she could wax lyrical about how the Alpine Fault is now wound there like a clock-spring that could go TWANG!!!! to the tune of a 100km long 8m slip with matching 9+ Richter scale earthquake 'any day now (in the next 50 years)'. I could potentially arrange for her to have a personal tour at the NZ Geological and Nuclear Sciences campus in Lower Hutt.

After a bad spinal injury I gave up my motorcycles thinking I would never ride again. After 7-8 years of surgery, rehab and dogged determination, I bought my beloved r100 gs pd bmw back from the friend I sold it to and am now getting it prepped for the coming riding season.
Im not gonna lie and say it was easy or there aren't difficulties, I have to be very deliberate with my moves at all times and I have to realize when I need help and not let my ego get involved. I have to take routes that wont jar my spine to badly and I have to consciously keep checking that my ego doesn't get the best of me and I get in over what my back can take.
The thing that really took me aback was how badly my riding skills had deteriorated. Although that was something that intellectually I knew would happen, the DEGREE to which those skills had degraded I really wasn't ready for.
I'm rereading Keith Codes ''a flick of the wrist'' that book was instrumental in making me and many of my friends into safer, better riders. Even cooler than the first time I read it, they have it on this fancy youtube thing that you can just WATCH it on your phone now lol!
Just don't give up, don't worry if it takes a while and don't give in to anger or despair. Good luck man.
