When I was younger as a backpacker I traveled all around in buses getting from place to place in the countries I visited. It was a great way to not only witness the scenery but to participate in the local culture and go at their pace. But watching Noraly on her bike going off roading along obscure routes makes me realize how much more free one is and capable of seeing areas that the vast majority of travelers miss. In a way, she's seeing the real Mexico and other countries, the "hidden" areas and ways of life that get ignored and overlooked by most everyone. What a privilege it must be to travel in such a way. Kudos to Noraly for endeavoring to travel this way and bringing the rest of us viewers along for the journeys. Even if it is only vicariously, we are all enriched and our minds expanded by watching her travels. As everyone else, I look forward to the next episodes!

Yes, there are places where it's better not to go as tourist, but these zones existes in the US too, and same in different States of Europe!
I visited Mexico three times, and until today it's one of my absolute favorite countries. People are kind and helpful, the nature is stunning and so unbelievable divers, and the culture (!), this astonishing and admirable mix of spanish and indigenous culture/history is so interesting!

Exactly. I apologize, I didn't want to offend you and all Mexicans who live in Yucatan!
It is certainly beautiful, but I didn't go in the southeast of Mexico because of these touristic zones.
If you say here in Europe you're traveling to Mexico, they all think the destination is the coastline of Cancun, because "the rest of Mexico is too dangerous". I always try to show them that it's not true, because I traveled backpacking across your country.

I just wanna say, don't miss in the states of Yucatán and Campeche for the sins of Quintana Roo, there are beautiful places to discover here too, less crowded for sure. The church, built in 1797, was the last missions constructed in Querétaro during the Mexico’s Viceroyalty period, and it was strategically placed in one of the last strongholds of the indigenous Pame, Jonaz, and Chichimec people.

That was awesomely amazing , riding through a monstrously huge desolate mountain range , passing a hombre in the middle of nowhere with seemingly no signs of habitation , then finding a old small colonial settlement appears in the middle of that dry mountain range .
I thought it look deserted then was gobsmacked when i saw cars and ancient electricity power poles , then asked myself does it have a petrol station and how does the petrol tanker navigate those winding mountain roads .
Tried to imagine those first pioneers who had to cut those roads out of the mountains , the hardships , toil and sweat .
And that's only a tiny part of Mexico . 👀
