ep119 My Yard is My Garage - 2010 Mini Cooper S, front end removal and eventual engine remove

Today we start work on our 2010 Mini Cooper S R57 (Convertible). We lost a timing chain I think, about a year ago and I finally am getting to this rig. "The price of gas compels you."
I've pulled and rebuilt engines before but nothing so new, its always been an old rusty rig. So, this could be daunting and challenging to my skills and my tools.
So man digicals, so many wires, its scary! But we have to do this, and I need you to come along on this one and help, grab a tool, make a parts run, hold the thing so I can undo the other thing.
This is Part1 of 2 parts, and this will cover removal of the front of the car to get access to the engine...and its time consuming.
This is something you can do, if I can do it and I'm just a shade tree mechanic...I am confident you can do this too! Take your time, use the right tools; spend a few bucks on those tools - makes all the difference.

hehe, ya its face is totally off now, will pull then engine this weekend and dismantle it...see where it died.
It did run before i did this, but poorly, it was hurt, but it did not grenade, it did not sounds like a bunch of noise in a box....i suspect the turbo failed completely, thats what i see from the OBD.
