Love your content, bro. Warhammer was always something I was on the fence about but your AoS content has got me buying, painting, reading, learning. I got the Soulbound book because of your videos and everything else from GW because of your content. I cant get enough of how you're presenting stuff.
I had a great Knight Incantor all planned out, but then it turns out that the DM who got us all excited about the game was one of those people that is great at getting people excited and then never following through.
Well one reason is because Age of Sigmar Rosters are significantly smaller than their old Fantasy Equivalents, like how would you convince someone to buy a Flesh Eater Court DLC with its 6 unit choices?
Hey I just stumbled onto your channel and I'm fascinated by AoS lore. Thank you for your detailed dives into the world that is AoS. I do have a request if you are willing to humor me. I'm not sure if you have seen Bricky's "Every 40k Faction" video. It was a very brief but informative info dump on the 40k universe consolidated into 1 video. Would you be willing to do something similar with all the different factions in AoS? I really enjoyed your videos and keep up the good work
I've always wondered if there were any storcast who resented or even hated Sigmar for basically dooming them to an eternity of constant warfare and suffering.
its a topic thats touched on just a bit in Soul Wars. Basically, Stormcast dont seem to really have an option to "choose" to follow sigmar, they just do. Nagash reasons that at least he is more honest and upfront about using mortals like pawns.
They can't technically become Soulbound, because their souls are bound to Sigmar already. They can be PCs, but they can't use Soulfire, but get extra starting XP and better gear as a recompense.
I just found saw that the dice on your "profile picture" isnt like a real dice look like becuase the 4 and the 3 are supposed to be on the opposite sides of the dice of each other
I like how all the Stormcasts are 7'5 or more, but that's the part they always forget about when they write the books and we see interactions of them with other manlet races.
The number of reforgings seems arbitrary. Blacktalon was at seven or more and was pretty human. However it seems like two for one of the characters in Soulwars was enough to remove a lot.
@@smithingbear7522 I meant it as a joke given the fact they have an eagle companion, just like the main characters in the latest Assassin's Creed games.
hi, i got a question, is in the game a mechanic to have pets for all the archetypes? Cause there is the idoneth that have a mount and now a stormcast with a bird. Can other types of stormcast have also a bird? Are there another tamables animals that can apear during the game?
There is a talent that lets characters bond with a "pet". Some of them start with specific pets and some pets are restricted to certain races. But any character can take that talent and then they just need to spend an endeavor between adventures to find, tame, and bond with their chosen companion.
@@adambielen8996 try the vanguard like concussors, palladors, or dracolines. The stormcast riders have to bond with thier mount by going on a hunt or by other means before they can ride them into battle.
@@txta786 Yes I am aware of how Stormcasts actually bond with their mounts and companions. But the question was how one gets these companions in the Soulbound RPG.
I wonder in what range regarding the "game mechanics" you would put an anverage human soldiers. The "range of numbers" is not that great. As far I understand there are a lot of other kind of non-soulbound troops. I guess there should be some significant distinctions in comparison to them. So, where would you see the difference to "normal" people in game mechanics/numbers. It would be quite irritating if a "normal" fighter could deal an equal amount of damage like a Soulbound, or not?
yes! really the entire party can choose not to be soulbound, you just cannot use Soulfire (an in-game mechanic). But when you get to the late game, against some of the truly nasty monsters.... you're gonna want some soulfire lol
To me this game seems like a WoW MMORPG what the 14 years old Killer Mega dragon John and his buddies playing at the kitchen desk… kill, kill , loot advance. When I hear the word “tank” in any RPG review I know it’s not about ROLE playing. Sorry, but who cares about the f.cking combat abilities? The story and the environment and the interaction between the players can drive a session..Mood means much more to me than how I can power level my character. I cannot imagine that any of the Soulbound modules can focus solely on investigation and/or on the story driven scenarios.
Well when the new companion book comes out you might be getting one. They showed off the cover art and it looks like either a Zephyros or Hunter was there.
Soo late to this party but what if the Stormcast can't truly join due to sheer political reasons and their reforging struggles for the war effort instead of what they claim?
It's a small detail but it made me smile; "Happy Adventuring" when it's about Soulbound stuff! Thanks Doug, you too!
Glad you enjoyed it :)

llllaaaaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmeeeee
We know why the soul is chipped away with each reforging... NAGASH!!!!
Why in the world is there not a total war game for this setting?? It'd be way cooler than either of the games they have currently.
Well one reason is because Age of Sigmar Rosters are significantly smaller than their old Fantasy Equivalents, like how would you convince someone to buy a Flesh Eater Court DLC with its 6 unit choices?
It would probably be more suitable for a dawn of war style RTS due to the smaller unit style. In saying that I would still love a total war AoS
We need more "Story Time with Doug"!! This is so awesome. Great video!

I'm still waiting for the localization of this gem in my cold country.
I plan to buy the Rule Book not for the game, but for the lore background only.

Loving these videos, dude. Big into ttrpg’s and you’re really peaking my interest in Soulbound. Cheers, buddy!
Love the game and mechanics. Finally the combat is fun again.
I'm surprised, I didn't think Stormcast could become Soulbound. This is great news though, I can't wait to play as one!

Great video as always dude 😁👍🏻
Thanks 😁
Kind of funny hearing you talk about Vel thinking she's male the whole time
I know right lol. Fail

Each character is effected differently. He may have been "human" but he lost some other parts of his soul.
Soulbound is a DND version of age of Sigmar ?
Basically, yes! It plays fairly well but requires some adjustment from 5e perspectives
It is a tabletop roleplaying game like D&D but uses an entirely different rules system. Hope this helps!
yep! I highly recommend it!
Knight Venator = Assassin's Creed: Azyr
Knight Zephyros are the stormcast actual assassin's. Sadly they aren't in Soulbound but it might be something they could add on.

So if stormcast just aren't soulbound is it possible to get other races and character archetypes that aren't soulbound as well?
