i believe the way to mod these characters, or make them selectable is through either the racers file for the game or the select file it may just be a hunch but its worth experimenting
That's what I am amazed with, they ported the game in the same engine for the wii, normally they would write an entirely new engine for the Wii, like with Sonic Unleashed.

The PC version has the Wii graphics if set to low. However, the exclusive characters shown here only work when the graphics are set to high, as they lack the textures for medium and low. Not to mention the Wii version actually erased the data of the characters in order to fit the game into the Wii disc. Theoretically, this means that trying to access them through hacks will result in the game crashing should the game try to access the data without extensive restoration and modification.

Since the Miis and Avatars are customisable characters on their respective platforms, they don't have any data to pull from for their head (Miis) and entire body (Avatars) on the PC version, they instead just appear like that in-game.

Well, this is made by Sumo Digital, not exactly SEGA I believe. About the possibility of unleashed being ported on Wii, maybe not, I think the wii may run out of memory with a stage like eggmanland which is a 40 minutes long stage on average.
Al parecer es cosa de que el menu de PC es distinto a las otras versiones, traté bajando el iso de la version de 360, y reemplazando el menu, y aunque son el mismo tipo de archivo, no funcionó. Se podria hacer un full swap, pero hay cosas que en pc que no tiene la version de 360, por ejemplo, la version de 360 no tiene el base.xpac , pero si habria que investigar en SumoToolResources y ver donde estan los modelos exactamente para intentar un swap

I do wonder if the datas for Miis are in X360 version, and Avatars in Wii version, and if they're hacked to become playable in said versions, we'd see Miis using Avatars data (X360), or Avatars using Miis data (Wii). It would be hilarious to see xD

It might be possible to replace the unused Mii's model with a proper one, same goes for Xbox Avatar.
