SO. BEAUTIFUL. I felt like there was some sections during the stage that fitted well for the 2D sections...and by gawd, you nailed it. FINALLY, someone doing the modern stages that also has Classic Sonic gameplay!! THANK YOU!!!!
@1:15 It seems that the physics are designed to preserve Sonic's momentum through light dashing and, after the dash, restore it in the same direction. This is why he'll fly off in that direction when you turn a corner, but when you only walk, he's merely pushed a bit to that side. (It's also why it's never an issue if the light dash is a straight line, which I believe it is in every actual instance in the game.)
Great job. This is pretty awesome. Looked this up again after watching someone's finished Sky Rail or whatever Shadow's rail level is called. Was saying it'd be cool if the different SA2 levels that have been made like this were made into a mod, a collaboration of a bunch of them that people have done. Looks a lot better than I last remember it. no more black water :D!
Now all i want to see is Green Forest and Crazy Gadget, but come on, that could be too hard (specially Crazy Gadget and some parts of Green Forest), You did an outstanding job with this! congratulations!
Okay,I've got 2 questions to ask: 1.What are splines? 2.During the Classic version,is it possible put in a brief platforming section when you're on the battleship to make things more interesting?
This is amazing! Are you planning any more levels, or are you going to keep changing this level up with alternate paths and such or extending it? (If you feel like taking requests - ANY level from Adventure 1 OR 2.)
This is Awesome, I think you should add more enemies, maybe those rocket launchers from Roof top run, to make it less empty.Specially at 1:00, to replace the planes. Other wise , Good Job. Also perhaps adding 2D Sections won't hurt, it maybe an advantage on the place that is around the rocket launcher (you know what i mean). This is So Amazing thought, After All Not Only you did Port the Level, but you also improved The graphics (except textures are low poly,Water is Awesome and Light effect).
Hey dude; I love Metal Harbour and I think you've done a fantastic job porting it! :) Just wanted to suggest something for if you want to play around with the level design a bit; why not use those large cylinders (1:57) as big platforms for alternate routes? Just a thought. ;)
I seriously need to ask... Is part of Metal Harbor a reference to After Burner, or did they just recycle a segment to use for the After Burner court in SST?
jajajaj xD classic sonic quedo genial!
Also for Classic sonic, did you just port the Level into Classic sonic without doing modification (Or you modified it like you did with the Modern version). I can't wait for a release.
Umm... you have a point, but, the correct use of that mechanic would be not in Seaside Hill, but in Speed Highway and City Escape (Run down building/GUN Truck chase), since those actually change music tracks triggered by where Sonic goes, while Seaside Hill's music is only one track. Seaside Hill and Ocean Palace's music are mixed into it. And if I remember correctly, he said in the last video he tried to do that, but didn't work and the music faded. (aka C. Sonic in M. City Escape)
0:05 I realise that this is meant to be authentic but perhaps adding speed boosters to help get Sonic around that loop may help. If Sonic needs to travelling slow at 1:09 for the light dash work then perhaps a trip block (those things you hop over in the modern levels) before it may help. I'd hate to Dimps up this section but it seems your going to have to add boosters where you land after the rocket and on every 90 degree turn on the way up to keep the pace of the level.
Hey just an idea, on the part where you get off the rocket and have to stop and make all those sharp turns, maybe you should put those ground booster things (dunno what they're called) on every turn so the player can keep running and not have to worry about turning or slowing down. Just a suggestion
Well you can, Sonic Adventure 2 is coming to PSN and Xbox Live in HD this October! Don't believe me? Search it up and there are some images! Also it's on Wikipedia. I know that site can be I guess fake sometimes but I find it reliable most of the time...And yes SEGA needs to make a DLC. I sent them a big message on their UA-cam and I made lots of suggestions and levels. I added this on the list. There were LOTS of levels!! Basically 2 levels per game that was in Generations.
It's pretty good, but I think some speed boosters in the Modern Sonic stages might of helped. Classic Sonic isn't too bad, but you would kind of have to rebuild the level from the ground up to perfect it. Otherwise, nicely done.
The moonwalking bit, it was only about 2 seconds and it really made my day, thanks man.
SO. BEAUTIFUL. I felt like there was some sections during the stage that fitted well for the 2D sections...and by gawd, you nailed it. FINALLY, someone doing the modern stages that also has Classic Sonic gameplay!! THANK YOU!!!!
By far the most humorous mod progression video I've seen. Bravo, good sir. Bravo.
I just love to see your videos. Not only they show your progress, they too make me laugh as hell! Terrific work here! =D

I think that's the fun behind it, it's the same Metal Harbour we know and love... Even for C.Sonic!
Great job. This is pretty awesome.
Looked this up again after watching someone's finished Sky Rail or whatever Shadow's rail level is called.

I've kinda been spamming this with views simply because of how fun it is to watch this level performed in a REALLY good Sonic engine.

Outstanding!
Oh, and there is a rocket under the second REQUIRED light dash ring set when Modern Sonic.
I swear, the Smooth Criminal part and the part where a random voice said "nope" almost made me piss myself xD
This is the best mod map I've seen thus far.
Now all i want to see is Green Forest and Crazy Gadget, but come on, that could be too hard (specially Crazy Gadget and some parts of Green Forest), You did an outstanding job with this! congratulations!
Pretty awesome stuff, also dat surprise moonwalk got me XD
The little songs you inserted made this.
And the level too. But MJ made me laugh.
Hotel Mario's "No" And Silver's It's No Use Was Hilarious XD
Classic metal harbor... Just amazing
I agree, that would be a nice touch.
Metal Harbor, one of my favorite level in SA2, my favorite game.
Hey, DaGuAr, can you port Sonic Adventure 2 Green Hill into Sonic Generations, please?
I personally would have chosen Metal Harbor over City Escape for Generations, this is pretty cool. :)
Haha I actually LOL'd at the "I believe I can fly" clip
That is some amazing work! As soon as I can get some better hardware I have got to try some of these mods.
this is so cool! i wish they actually did have Metal Harbor! I love it for Sonic Adventure 2! But I guess City Escape is good too :D
Yes, onto remakes we go!
-.-'
It would be nice to have some DLC. Even an official level editor would suffice!
looking forward to seeing what you got in store for this stage
Okay,I've got 2 questions to ask:
1.What are splines?
2.During the Classic version,is it possible put in a brief platforming section when you're on the battleship to make things more interesting?
Totally love the classic sonic version!
This is amazing! Are you planning any more levels, or are you going to keep changing this level up with alternate paths and such or extending it? (If you feel like taking requests - ANY level from Adventure 1 OR 2.)
Nice job, but on the classic sonic stage, where they are, remove the front barriers, if you can, but appart from that AWESOME WORK!
Took me a second to get 2:11 but I died when I did hahaha.
Gotta love the moonwalk lol... 😂
what is the song used during the boar din the atuall sonoc adventure2 because i frekaing loved that theme
LMAO to MJ music as he moon walked for a bit. So abrupt, yet so funny.

This stage is so awesome
Would the aircraft carrier bit make a good Quickstep segment?
someone has a very creative mind here
That stage was Epic
THIS IS FANTASTIC
This is a wonderful video and it made me chuckle lots.
do you plan on adding in the jets that bomb the area at :57?
Shouldnt there be a timer for when the rocket takes off and sonic holding on to it with one hand?
This is amazing and your videos are hilarious thank you
Place the camera you want and a ChangeVolumeCamera trigger. Make sure the trigger points to te object id of the camera you have placed.
What is the name the programs you use to import levels?
I seriously need to ask...
Is part of Metal Harbor a reference to After Burner, or did they just recycle a segment to use for the After Burner court in SST?
"I believe i can fly" no puedo parar de reír con eso! xD
u really nailed classic sonic
It's looking great!
Do you think you should make the missile section a 2D area to facilitate going around those tight corners at high speeds?
man, I really wish this level was in the game as well as other levels too.
in the part 2:11 u can turn the camera into 2D and there will be more easy to go with speed and not fall.
lol, i lost it at Classic sonic not needing the homing attack haha
Even if you don't plug in a controller it does that... You have to look up the Keyboard controls in the config...
The Ending was priceless xD.
Man ! That is AWE-SOME !
4:23 Francis and Silver would like to comment on the idea of Classic Sonic in Metal Harbor
The it's no use at the end made me crack up hard XDD
jajajaj xD classic sonic quedo genial!
Also for Classic sonic, did you just port the Level into Classic sonic without doing modification (Or you modified it like you did with the Modern version).
I can't wait for a release.
Are you gonna make a tutorial on how to get SonicGlvl and the other things you used to make this mod?
Umm... you have a point, but, the correct use of that mechanic would be not in Seaside Hill, but in Speed Highway and City Escape (Run down building/GUN Truck chase), since those actually change music tracks triggered by where Sonic goes, while Seaside Hill's music is only one track. Seaside Hill and Ocean Palace's music are mixed into it. And if I remember correctly, he said in the last video he tried to do that, but didn't work and the music faded. (aka C. Sonic in M. I think you should make the path to the rocket part be in 2d, because that just doesn't look as fun in 3d.
0:05 I realise that this is meant to be authentic but perhaps adding speed boosters to help get Sonic around that loop may help. If Sonic needs to travelling slow at 1:09 for the light dash work then perhaps a trip block (those things you hop over in the modern levels) before it may help. The rocket launch segment needs to be re-worked to fit better with generations controls. The turns are too sharp.
Haha! Dude you're HILARIOUS! This video made my day! xD
Porfavor respondeme.
I like it, but can you have a tiny starting area? You know, the "READY?" and "GO!" seconds rather than just jumping into action?
Is Classic Sonic going to be in the full release? Because i love the idea of that!
whats that tune at 2:09 ???? ive heard it on TYMND before...!
Awesome job =p
Will you try to make other strages from Sonic Adventure 2 (Green Forest *-*) ?
It is getting warmer in here now that you mention it...
DaGu , tu molas, en serio. Eres dios en esto :D
CLASSIC SONIEC DOESN'T NEED THE FUCKING HOMING ATTACK!
dude, you has destroyed me XD
Liked for "Ah believe ah can fly!" - I lol'd.
At 1:11 Sonic shouted Shit, as he knew his death was coming! hahaha
Wow, nice. Classic is so hardcore without homing. =)
The modern music of Metal Harbor should be the music for classic Sonic
impresive, good work
4:20 NOPE!
Seriously though. If I wanted to get this mod, how would I go about it once it's finished?
wow awasome and funny didnt kno sonic could moon walk or fly without being super sonic
Is that a completely new skybox? How did you place it? I tried to change it but the game keeps crashng :\
Is it just me, or is it kinda odd how well this level, which was directly imported from SA2, works with modern Sonic's gameplay?
OMG, This is sick!
It was better in every way. I was just wondering if you've ever played it on a Dreamcast, which you said you did.
1:38-1:52 could be 2D section, it would fit very well an be more easier to pass
two words. Crazy....Gadget
Hey just an idea, on the part where you get off the rocket and have to stop and make all those sharp turns, maybe you should put those ground booster things (dunno what they're called) on every turn so the player can keep running and not have to worry about turning or slowing down. Just a suggestion
Wow, I'm completely amazed =O
O.O i wish they did updates or downloadable content for Sonic Generations on xbox 360. I wanna play this level again!
LOL the "it's no use!"
Well you can, Sonic Adventure 2 is coming to PSN and Xbox Live in HD this October! Don't believe me? Search it up and there are some images! Also it's on Wikipedia. I don't think there is any 2D in there at all, if it was you wouldn't be able to homing attack the pulley, it must just be a fancy camera angle.
It's pretty good, but I think some speed boosters in the Modern Sonic stages might of helped. Classic Sonic isn't too bad, but you would kind of have to rebuild the level from the ground up to perfect it. Otherwise, nicely done.
JESUS THIS IS ACURATE! PLAY THE ORIGANOL ITS NEAR PERFECT!
He was Moonwalkin'
lol your editing is hilarious
