Whoever came up with Carlos' character needs to read a book on deafness, hearing aids aren't magical cures for hearing loss.

@@さくら-l8t Maggie came back twice in the comics. One where she dies at the end of "A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Beginning" and another as a killer in "Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash: Nightmare Warriors" where she has a incest relationship with her father.
Apparently Wes Craven stopped watching Freddy's Dead half way because he hated it so much and most of the sequels. So it's not surprising he completely ignore everything in that movie and didn't care all that much for Maggie's character. I was always for the original and Nancy for everyone.
I'm sorry, A Nightmare on Elm Street isn't a comedy. Dream Warriors in an awesome sequel with a fantastic Freddy, but definitely bot a comedy. When you're up 2 of the best slasher movies of all time, you can't care so little as to make a joke out of what is arguably the scariest horror icon.
For the younger generation. When you saw this movie in the movie theaters you were handed a Freddy's Dead 3d glasses and told to put these on when Maggie's puts her pair on to enter the Dream World.
I saw it in the theater with a friend and we were the only ones at that screening and I remember when the end credits rolled I looked over at my friend, still with his 3-D glasses on, and I actually felt ashamed. Such a sad, sad ending of one of the greatest movie villians ever.
It's funny because this was my FAVORITE Nightmare on Elm Street film! I thought the carton antics and funny tongue in cheek humor in the film worked really well with Freddy's character. Different strokes for different folks though I guess! This was still a great review man I've just recently been watching your channel and I have been really entertained! Thanks for the great reviews!
This is my least favorite movie of all time! The way it transforms Freddy, my favorite horror icon, into an annoying clown full of puns is just devastating for me to even recall, let alone rewatch this. It's definitely a nightmare, but for all the wrong reasons!
I think Dream Master is a better Final Nightmare than the actual Final Nightmare. You have interesting and likable characters, some of which from previous movies, a more consistent plotline and mythos, better kills, a Freddy that's still trying to be at least a little menacing, his resurrection is amazing, and his death is probably the most satisfying in the series. if things went better with the writer's strike, and some things were refined a little more, then they could have ended the series on a high note with that one.
I think Freddy had the best dialogue in that movie too like Freddy taunting Kristen telling her to call for her friends was cool like Freddy almost never taunts someone without immediately killing or saying a one liner some of my favorite lines were “Elm Street’s last brat, farewell!” “How sweet, fresh meat!” “Alice, come to daddy~” (for…reasons) “Welcome to Wonderland, Alice!” “You think you got what it takes? I’ve been guarding my gate for a long time, bitch!” “I…am…eternal!”
The WarGames reference makes me picture some nightmare sequel involving the U.S. government capturing a Springwood teenager to summon Freddy and use him as a weapon against the Soviets.....but the plan of course backfires. XD
I saw this one in the theaters in the opening weekend. We were given 3D glasss and when the lady put her glasses on we entered Freddy Vision. It was epic!

He couldn't travel Beyond Springwood because it's the basis of his Grudge but he can establish himself elsewhere while anchored in his daughter's subconscious. Which means an exorcism could have worked here as well he would have been basically flung back to Springwood once exercised from his daughter.
If they evacuated Springwood, Chernobyl-style, would Freddy eventually starve from lack of souls and truly die? Or would he be able to move from town to town?
Well he can only move from town to town through dreams of someone related to him like Maggie/Katherine so without her he’s basically stuck there and I don’t think he can truly “die” in Freddy vs Jason he pretty much stayed in hell because no one feared him
When is someone gonna make a PREQUEL!!!! Like a REAL dark, eerie, disgusting evil child killer Freddy originally was. Not the joke he finally became. Like the very first Freddys Nightmares ‘No more mr nice guy’ but with a budget. That episode used to scare the absolute shit outta me and they could make a killing making THAT movie. Maybe start it at the asylum when Amanda is locked in there. Freddy being born, his childhood, then most of the movie being the murders, ending with him being burned alive. With all the shitty remakes they’re making today I’m really surprised nobody has picked this up yet!
the original script was much more action orientated but Robert Englund's broken ankle caused several rewrites and they threw in every joke they could so it would be fun to watch and it really was it's still my favorite Freddy movie because I saw it on my very first date at 15 yrs old on Sat Sept 14th 1991 in the movie theater 👍
As a kid Freddy was my boogie man; NoES scared the shit out of me (8 yrs old) till I was in my early twenties. This movie made Freddy so ridiculous that it pretty much cured that fear. Really enjoying the "Summer of Freddy vs Jason" keep up the good work
Personally, the over the top nature of this made it one of my favourite "horror" films as a kid, but then it [and new nightmare] were the only NOES films I owned on VHS at the time. It was a few years before I saw the second, then a few more till the first and at least a decade till I saw the rest.
This could have disregarded all of the other sequels and taken place sometime after part one. I always thought when Freddy and Nancy's mom disappeared.that Freddy, knowing he was beaten, used Nancy's sleeping mother to escape back into the dream world. The dream at the end could have been her mother's right before Freddy killed her in the real world. Hence why we see him pull her through the door. Also would have to disregard the last few seconds with Nancy and her posse being driven off in The Freddy Mobile. Clearly some time would pass in which Freddy would gather his strength back, Nancy and her father have long since moved away from Springwood, and Freddy eventually commits mass genocide on the kids and teens right up till John Doe is the last one. At least that is how I would have written it. I think Wes Craven would've liked this idea. Since it involves Nancy never dying. For those of you who have made it this far, thank you and have a good one. And remember; you heard it here first folks. "Freddy Mobile". XD
On the subject of pot: This was the early 90s and in the middle of the Just Say No movement. Not surprised the lack of knowledge on the subject. Less forgivable when Freddy vs Jason makes the same mistake as people knew better by that point
Freddy getting more cartoony as the series goes kinda makes sense. He keeps doing this shit, and just keeps having more and more fun with it. If you love your job, you don't work a day in your life.
Alice and Jacob return in Freddy vs Jason vs Ash. Alice dies from the effect of being the dream master and gives her powers to Jacob the new dream master. Also can remember if this was a comic or a trashed screen write but there was also something on them returning to springwood for a funeral and Freddy tries to get to Jacob again but loses again
That is my least favorite scene in any horror movie ever. In one scene they manage to lose everything scary, dark and unerving about one of if not the best horror icons of all time.
I have a weird nostalgic attachment to this movie since it was the first _Nightmare on Elm Street_ I ever saw twenty years ago when I was about twelve. It's pretty bad, but I'll always get a kick out of it just for the nostalgic memories it gives me. Plus, Robert Englund is a ton of fun as always.
hell yeah it was in 3D, and seeing it in the theater, local radio station personality throwing out tee-shirts, everyone 14-17 not even legally allowed to be in the theater, it was a fuggin' blast to say the least. Shitty in retrospect regarding what should have been...sure but Alice Cooper, 3D, the anticipation at the time as a 15 year old, the psychadelic scene, Iron Butterfly, the hot chic trying the glove on for size, it had it all in cheezy goodness in spades. Growing up NOT being old enough to see Dream Warriors and Jason Lives; in theaters (the 2 best of each outside of the originals) but rather Dream Child - Final Nightmare and New Blood...we love what we had, and it was good for what it was. Even the fact that we can talk shit about it appropriately as deserved has value. Love you Decker, always.
I do remember watching this in the theater and being given a pair of 3D glasses as we bought our tickets, wondering huh what’s this for? lol, good times!
I loved this one. I really like the prototype gloves, Freddy “mastering” pain, an especially Freddie’s look. Overall a 7/10 for me good, but not great.
why does everyone that brings Freddy into the real world always kill him why not do to him what they did to PaVayne on an episode of ANGEL and keep him in a living awake stasis forever
This confused me for a long time. If Maggie is actually Freddy's daughter, Katherine; then how come the child in the picture the family looks more like a boy than a girl? Unless the picture was drawn to look like Maggie/Katherine was taking a photo; and the boy represents the little brother she never had. Also, Spencer said his dad is a football player, yet in Freddy's video game of death; Spencer ' s dad is a tennis player.
I think it’s possible that “John Doe” could be the child Jakob from dream child or someone descended from him. (Because it was established those powers were used by Jacob in dream child and possibly passed on to him.)
In the original script John Doe was Jacob and Alice was going to be killed in the very beginning of the movie. Freddy some how sucked all of Springwood into hell and Jacob went to a foster home in another town, where Freddy followed him and started killing the kids there. Which would've been a better movie than what we got here.
The "John Doe" being Alice's son Jacob was also a theory I entertained. Up until I realized that upon rewatch, in 2001 Jacob would still only have been 12 years old. Then my theory went bust
not even a mention about how freddy's step dad is ALICE FREAKIN' COOPER?
He beat Freddy because Fred preferred Slayer.

XD
It's 2:34 in the morning when you uploaded this but totally worth!!!
He'll never run out of ways to say "the summer of Freddy vs Jason!" XD
Decker is amazing and this channel is so underrated. I Love ur content Decker!
I had one of the 3-D glasses from Saturday September
14th 1991
until I lost my apartment
and everything I owned on Monday September 21st 2015
You're a fuck head!
Somehow that "preferred pronouns" joke became even more relevant 6 years later.
Are you going to review New Nightmare too?
sure he will :)
That SUMMER OF FREDDY VS JASON was very unexpected Decker, was thinking you where about to run out of ideas !
On the subject of pot: This was the early 90s and in the middle of the Just Say No movement. Not surprised the lack of knowledge on the subject. Less forgivable when Freddy vs Jason makes the same mistake as people knew better by that point
Dude you need to decorate that apartment. Its depressing as fuck.
New green screen effect at the beginning for him.
Another great vid, idk what it is about your vids but i love them. Keep up the good work
"Well the map says we're fucked" might be my favourite line ever
12:42 FUN FACT: acid aIso won't give you haIIucinations Iike the one he was having in that scene.
Freddy getting more cartoony as the series goes kinda makes sense. He keeps doing this shit, and just keeps having more and more fun with it. If you love your job, you don't work a day in your life.
You and Dr.Wolfula should do a collaboration!!
Lisa Zane was so hot
in this movie
👍
😃
The attempts of ending him that he's rattling of are just to show he KEEPS ON COMING DEKER!!! GOD FUCKING DAMIT!!!
I read that people think John Doe is Alice's son Jacob, due to his ability to enter someone's dreams
Cynthia Niccals/Pot but Alice left spring wood at the end of the 5th
Alice and Jacob return in Freddy vs Jason vs Ash. Alice dies from the effect of being the dream master and gives her powers to Jacob the new dream master. Also can remember if this was a comic or a trashed screen write but there was also something on them returning to springwood for a funeral and Freddy tries to get to Jacob again but loses again
As soon as the deaf guy shows his hearing aid you just think that will cause his death
Then child protective services took his child away!!!!, Who would of expected that.... Awesomely said
If you have a DiCaprio Titanic haircut, you weren’t destined to be a college linebacker. Date raping co-eds... Hmm, maybe.
I personally like this movie. It a so bad its good type of film. Am I seriously the only one too who laughed so hard at the video game death scene?
That is my least favorite scene in any horror movie ever. In one scene they manage to lose everything scary, dark and unerving about one of if not the best horror icons of all time.
The burning thing could have been referring to how he died, or it could be when Nancy set him on fire during their confrontation.
This is by far the worst Nightmare on Elm Street. I hated this movie. It does a cheap 3D bit at the end.
It's a kick in the nuts for any fan of the character, lore and franchise as a whole.
But it was all just a dream! You need to make a smash cut of all the times this has happened! 😂
Decker, Nostalgia Critic, Dead Meat. All of these are my go to channels for films
Im am a smoker of weed, in the occasion. And i have had dreams while high or sleeping after the high to be precise.
Is it a rare occurrence
@@kylecampbell565 i dont smoke much anymore, but when i did i had dreams almost every night or so
hell yeah it was in 3D, and seeing it in the theater, local radio station personality throwing out tee-shirts, everyone 14-17 not even legally allowed to be in the theater, it was a fuggin' blast to say the least.
Do the CRITTERS franchise!
No “Please”??? 🤷♂️
Alright he can't wipe out a whole population of teens and kids
I do remember watching this in the theater and being given a pair of 3D glasses as we bought our tickets, wondering huh what’s this for? lol, good times!
I still have mine, used them a couple days ago for the cinema snob friday 13th part 3 :3D review re-watch.
Bartist Clord Nice, my man!
I loved this one. I really like the prototype gloves, Freddy “mastering” pain, an especially Freddie’s look. Overall a 7/10 for me good, but not great.
surprised you didn't mention Freddys father was played by Alice Cooper in this movie
Happy Halloween Decker
why does everyone that brings Freddy into the real world always kill him
why not do to him what they did to PaVayne on an episode of ANGEL and keep him in a living awake stasis forever
You're a fuck head!
How is his sweater so clean? Does Freddy do his fuckin’ laundry?
This confused me for a long time.
If Maggie is actually Freddy's daughter, Katherine; then how come the child in the picture the family looks more like a boy than a girl?
Unless the picture was drawn to look like Maggie/Katherine was taking a photo; and the boy represents the little brother she never had.
Also, Spencer said his dad is a football player, yet in Freddy's video game of death; Spencer ' s dad is a tennis player.
The picture was probably meant to make you think that John Doe was Freddy’s son and made younger Maggie seem like one of the jumprope girls
John Doe is suppose to be Alice’s son, Jacob aka The Dream Child
Decker you are the best in the biz. Keep it up. Been watching for years
This movie was horrible
Imagine the dream demons finding Jason
I'm back
Freddy's Dead makes Nightmare on Elm street 2 look like Silence of the Lambs.
ANOES 2 had a great Freddy. The movie itself wasn't great, nut at least it didn't spit in my face as a Freddy fanatic.
