I think "I thought you loved me" was in regard to being given the puzzle box and maybe she thought he was connected to the box and was trying to harm her? I don't know, this film doesn't deserve rational thought.
Of all the Hellraiser sequels (not counting Revelations, because I refuse to watch that one) , I found this to be the most frustrating entry due to the constant fake-outs that comprise a majority of the film. Almost none of the scenes lead to anything consequential-- whole stretches have no payoff whatsoever. I get what they were going for, but Jacob's Ladder this ain't.
Winter Steele Jacob's Ladder was pretty good. I do like a film with consequences but there are merit for surreal alter-dimension type films as well. I just don't like that boo! Oh, it was just a dream type crap all the time. Maybe once or twice, but not the whole movie.
+Winter Steele Personally I found the film pretty decent and one of the better sequels, Pinhead is back to his original character and I didn't really mind the fake-outs (although I do understand your point). But if there is one thing that irritates me about the film, it is the fact it is a rehash of Inferno (which would have been much better as an independent film). It didn't feel fresh, it didn't feel original... Which is never a good thing. Ranked based on quality, my list would look something like this: 1) Hellraiser, nothing beats the original and it was typical Clive Barker, the monsters are never the villains... 9.5/10 2) Hellbound: Hellraiser II, this sequel is one of the best sequels in horror history. It was a worthy successor and a fantastic film. 9/10. 3) Hellraiser: Hellseeker, what can I say. The film actually surprised me, I expected something far worse. The story was good and it would have been a good way to close a trilogy but it was also a rehash of the fifth and surely wasn't of the same quality of the first two. 7/10 4) Hellraiser Inferno: Inferno was a pretty good film, I really enjoyed it but it was completely out of place in the Hellraiser Universe. Pinhead had no reason being in this film and the film could have been a perfect start of a new series altogether. A pity. If I have to judge it as an independent film (outside Hellraiser), I would give it an 8/10. 5) Hellraiser: Bloodline: this had the potential to become one of the best pieces of horror fiction ever. A 3 hour horror Epos about the history of Hell and the Lament Configuration. Instead, we got a 88 minute flick that was barely worth watching. The only redeeming factor of the film were the cenobites and Pinhead's fantastic one-liners. (Another reason why I don't like Bloodline, is the tame origin of the Lament Configuration, I prefer the Epic Comic version, in which Lemarchand is a monstrous killer). 5/10. 6) Hellraiser: Hell on Earth: The film itself was decent enough but reducing Pinhead to a typical evil slasher killer? Not cool, really not cool... 4/10. 7) Hellraiser: Hellworld: the idea of a metafilm would have been refreshing for the series if the makers actually understood the idea behind Hellraiser... The film took all the wrong turns and once again, Doug Bradley was the only thing that made the film somewhat bearable... 3.5/10. 8) Hellraiser: Deader: Another Non-Hellraiser Hellraiser film. Although slightly more fitting in Hellraiser than Inferno did, it was simply a bad movie with a really stupid name. It was contradictory from time to time, the whole necromancy aspect was out-of-place and the only memorable moment were, again Pinhead's quotes and the death of Winter Lemarchand. 3/10 9) Hellraiser: Revelations: You refuse to watch the film? I wished I had your wisdom. I would rather gauge my eyes out than to watch that abomination again. It was like a cheap knock of the original while completely missing what made the first so good. I rarely do this with a film, since everything has some redeeming qualities but I have to give it a 0/10: the only good thing about this one is the ending, and with ending I mean the credits, as you are happy when the ordeal is over.

Remember how well Jacob’s Ladder made you feel just as lost and afraid as the main character, all the while the keeping the audience guessing as to what was real with subtle tension, infrequent jumpscares that break reality for a moment, naturally wove in ways to transition the main character from one location that could be a dream or reality to another location that could be a dream or reality, and had a great emotional climax that made everything make sense? You know, Hellseeker but with actual effort?
I was re-watching this on a video binge and just realized that, it's badly written, but I get what Pinhead means by "The Killer is Amongst Us". It's not the physical killer, it's the person responsible for causing the killings. So if you look at it that way, he is right.
There are health concerns of course... but then, after the 12th or so time perhaps one would become too drunk to identify a fakeout properly and drink further? In that case, the movie itself may in fact seem better. Or at least the experience, if anything.
I do accept the cinema snob's joke of Trevor enjoying the pain, and causing pain, and becoming Mayhem, the least creepy looking but most publically accepted Cenobite after Pinhead.

Does anybody know if there is a Blu-Ray version of Hellseeker that has deleted/extended scenes? I'm looking for the extended conversation between Kirsty & Pinhead. I've seen a Blu-Ray online with no special features and a Spanish Blu-Ray that has extra scenes...
Unfortunately no. The only way to have the extended conversation between Pinhead and Kristy is to buy the original 2002 DVD release of the movie which is out of print since Disney lost the rights all of the Miramax and Dimension Films titles in 2010. Miramax and Dimension Films is the studio that all of the Hellraiser’s starting with Hellrasier 3 until Hellraiser:Judgement. Disney only owned up until Hellraiser 8:Hellworld.
@Michael Bolcato Thanks for that info. I own all kinds of Hellraiser stuff I'm a huge fan but I don't have the 2002 Hellseeker DVD. Idk why they would even shorten that scene.
The only thing I can explain in this movie is that his lights and gas could still be on if he had his bills set up to auto-pay, as I do. I could be in a coma for months and still come home to working power... assuming I have that much money in my savings. This isn't the first time this has been brought up in a review by Decker and it is, honestly, pretty easily explained.
I think pinhead doesn’t torture his victims because of the plot, he has to kill them normally just to make kills, I believe that he does torture them but only in hell
I actually liked this movie. The anticipation for me was finding out what was going on. I wanted to see what was going on. Was not expecting the end though so to me it was good.
I used to watch Doug Walker but his reviews stopped being funny when they started to just become reflective of the oftentimes denigrating opinions of the internet making his reviews denigrating in turn and they stopped being funny as a result of him throwing more fuel on the fire. This guy, Decker Shado, appears to be a lot more genuine with his reviews especially as evidenced by his review of Soldier which contradicted the supposedly absolutely negative reviews the movie got on RT.
i remember that time in history when fake out's where the fad in horror movies along whit that "all of them die and the killer walks away" thing ooh the horror
Wait...if she becomes a new Pinhead in the comics, why is Decker complaining about her being a serial killer? An immortal torturer in an eternal realm of pain is arguably worse.
Today is the *6* year anniversary of when "Hellraiser Hellseeker Review" was uploaded. 🤓 EDIT- 5:09 P.M.: *finishes episode 25 minutes later* This may not have been a good movie but it was interesting to see the physical embodiment of Mayhem go through mayhem! 😆
So...is there any movie at all? I mean, what is left when the fake-out is fake...outed? It's like Inception, what is real? Does anything happen? Is the whole film a fake-out? Where does one fake-out end and the next fake-out begin?
it's actually not a flat out lie. if you think about it, had he not gotten her to use the lament configuration she wouldn't have made the deal and five murders would have been avoided. so in the eyes of pinhead he might still be the killer.
I see on IMDB there is a movie called "Hellraisers" for 2015 ... can this be yet another Hellraiser sequel?? The horror! What are they gonna do this time? take old footage of Leave it to Beaver and the Brady Bunch and mix in Pinhead and cenobite footage?
True story I binge watched all nine (the tenth movie wasn’t out yet) movies of hellraiser in a weekend when they were all on Netflix a few years ago. I enjoyed the first two so much I gave them all a try, and I actually kinda liked 5. But it was this one part 6 that irritated me and really made me question why I was still watching these films because nothing seemed to matter, every scene I knew it was some kind of pointless fake out. 7 in my honest opinion was better than 6. But hellworld almost broke me, it’s so so bad. Probably the worst of the 9 at the time.
As bad as these movies are it makes me wonder what Clive Barker thinks of all this, I know Wes Craven hated what was done to Nightmare on Elm Street but at the very least there was three decent movies before the entire series went to the toilet, Hellraiser peaked in the first movie and only got worse from there.
So...Trevor wants to get out of his marriage with Kirsty so he tracks down the lament configuration and concocts some convoluted plan with his best friend/co-worker to get her to open it, ignoring that Kirsty already has experience with the box and making deals with Pinhead. I really feel like divorce would've just been easier. Like, sure, you may lose half your shit but at least you, your best friend, and the three women you're banging aren't going to be doomed to eternal suffering as a result.
I just fin watching the movie! I enjoyed it! Didnt realize it was the girl from the original movies towards the end! Pretty cool! People need to chill out and enjoy it for what it is! What do they expect its direct to video! I enjoyed it🎉❤
{Possible Spoilers} From what Pinhead says at the end of Part 9, that he couldn't take the one person because he was killed before being taken, wouldn't he be unable to take Trevor and everyone else Kirsty killed?
Joseph Saltal the only way she would have made the deals if she was forced to solve it beforehand. Resulting Pinhead and crew letting her go. To give them the five Souls
They were trying to riff off of what was done in Inferno......except it sucks. Too much of a good "twist". In my opinion, Inferno is the best of the series besides the first Hellraiser. The initially sequals made Pinhead and the other Cenobites in "the evil antagonists" in the same vein as Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger. Thats not what the Cenobites are at all. Inferno took us into psychological trip into Joseph Thorns own personal hell caused by how he was in life and then opening the Lament Configuration. In fact, when Thorn opens up the box for the "first time" it is safe to assume that we as the audience could be watching Thorns first descent into hell or maybe his thousandth. We are left knowing that he has been brought into hell and is doomed to repeat everything over and over for eternity. Great movie. I have always enjoyed it.
These sequels are exactly why I can't be bothered watching any of them! Your reviews are far more entertaining! Hellraiser: Bloodline, completely bypassed me when it came out. The very last one I saw was Hellraiser 3: Hell on Earth. I saw in London, Leicester Square, when I was 18, back in 1992. And that was a pile of horse crap!! The first one was by far the best Hellbound: Hellraiser 2 was also quite entertaining. Kirsty Cotton was one of my favourite characters. Aside from Julia. Sure, she was evil, but that just gave her more sex appeal in my opinion. Hope that doesn't sound more sinister than intended. Furthermore, she attended a convent school in real life, just like I did. She was actually expelled and ran away. I'm sure there's Irony in there somewhere!! All these sequels though..... pretty bloody pointless..... that's my personal opinion. Anyway, still. great reviews 👍👍👍👍. Wrong Turn 5: bloodlines, also starred Doug Bradley....a cannabolistic killer!!!!
It's hard to imagine that there are even more poorer/weaker so called "Hellraiser" films than this pile of steaming elephant dung. Another fantastic review. Loving your review of horror films/series. Which is your favourite series?
Didn't piss me off. I had been looking forward to your Guyver: Dark Hero review for a long time. I am glad that you didn't destroy it either, since it is a pretty good film ( it is most certainly a hell of a lot better than the first).
That comic went downhill from issue 9 and by the end it was a self-parody... Remember planet-sized Pinhead orbiting Earth and cracking a joke? Because I still remember.
Am I the only one around here who's got that puzzle box? I gave one to my best friend for his birthday. I know how to get him but next I'm getting the puppet on the tri-cycle from SAW. Oh yeah I was able to get Freddy's glove also.
Next summer do the summer of JAWS. It is a classic horror movie and has enough sequels to make the summer of seagal seem like a trip to Disney World. Translation: It's perfect for you!
This whole movie is like someone doing that thing where they tap you on the shoulder to make you look the wrong way.

I always thought it didnt make any sense he gave Kirstie a Puzzle box after everything she went though in Part 1 with it all?
2:22 Im an unsafe asshole boyfriend who'll get you killed. Are you safe from mayhem? Get Allstate.
so they made kirsty evil *aplauds sarcasticly"
Evil, Good, Pain Pleasure, Angels Demons, ect. ect.
Isn't Trevor the Mayhem guy from the Allstate insurance commercials? Lol
Hellraiser: [Insert arbitrary noun here]
Hellraiser: Special Victims Unit....hey, you're right!
"Ok, you caught me. Least lemme finish, will ya? I got one puff left." Always bugged me. Almost half the cig is left. "one puff" my ass.
I enjoyed this one more than the others personally
I think pinhead doesn’t torture his victims because of the plot, he has to kill them normally just to make kills, I believe that he does torture them but only in hell
I actually liked this movie. The anticipation for me was finding out what was going on. I wanted to see what was going on. Was not expecting the end though so to me it was good.
Ah, so you're J J Abrams' target audience.
Get All State and stay safe from mayhem like Trevor. 😂😂
You and Doug walker need to do a review together
That would be awesome
Know this comment is old, but Less Doug=Better
I used to watch Doug Walker but his reviews stopped being funny when they started to just become reflective of the oftentimes denigrating opinions of the internet making his reviews denigrating in turn and they stopped being funny as a result of him throwing more fuel on the fire. This guy, Decker Shado, appears to be a lot more genuine with his reviews especially as evidenced by his review of Soldier which contradicted the supposedly absolutely negative reviews the movie got on RT.
How about Brandon Tenold?
@@judsongaiden9878 that would be cool
i remember that time in history when fake out's where the fad in horror movies along whit that "all of them die and the killer walks away" thing ooh the horror
Wait...if she becomes a new Pinhead in the comics, why is Decker complaining about her being a serial killer? An immortal torturer in an eternal realm of pain is arguably worse.
I love Dean Winters
This movie was eh. I liked Pinhead and Kirsty's scenes but it was eh overall. I feel like I may have liked it more if it wasn't spoiled though.
The Mayhem guy is behind the wheel, of course he crashes.
Finally I’ve found an actual review!! ❤️❤️
Subbed!
"The murder-suicide routine has to be done in that order!" Heh.... heh... hehe... ehehehehehehehe.....
Today is the *6* year anniversary of when "Hellraiser Hellseeker Review" was uploaded. 🤓
EDIT- 5:09 P.M.: *finishes episode 25 minutes later*
This may not have been a good movie but it was interesting to see the physical embodiment of Mayhem go through mayhem! 😆
Can anyone say how many fake outs there were in this movie? I couldn't keep track.
So...is there any movie at all? I mean, what is left when the fake-out is fake...outed? It's like Inception, what is real? Does anything happen? Is the whole film a fake-out? Where does one fake-out end and the next fake-out begin?
(BWOOOMM)
Scariest thing in this movie is how much Ashley Lawrence looks like Wyona Ryder
hey does anybody know the metal band that plays on hellworld at 24 min and 30 seconds
it's actually not a flat out lie. if you think about it, had he not gotten her to use the lament configuration she wouldn't have made the deal and five murders would have been avoided. so in the eyes of pinhead he might still be the killer.
Bojack1135 it was his actions of that deal with them so by pinheads Logic he is the Killer
23:42 omg 😂
well played.
I did not mind you taking a break from hellraiser I needed a break too lol
I see on IMDB there is a movie called "Hellraisers" for 2015 ... can this be yet another Hellraiser sequel?? The horror! What are they gonna do this time? take old footage of Leave it to Beaver and the Brady Bunch and mix in Pinhead and cenobite footage?
Michael Davidson I wouldn't put it past them at this point.
Hey Decker Shado, which one did you enjoy more. Hellseeker or Inferno?
As bad as these movies are it makes me wonder what Clive Barker thinks of all this, I know Wes Craven hated what was done to Nightmare on Elm Street but at the very least there was three decent movies before the entire series went to the toilet, Hellraiser peaked in the first movie and only got worse from there.
I believe he has completely distanced himself from anything after the first two...
Hilariously enough, the main actor, Dean Winters is now the face of the Allstate Insurance commercials as Mayhem. You predicted the future!
His punishment for the car wreck was to spend eternity as the Allstate mayhem guy
Why did they do their best in making Hellraiser into Saw?
Well the actor does play "MAYHEM "in those commercials. In fact the car wreck scene would make a good "MAYHEM " commercial.
Please review The Collector and The Collection, and Virus from 1999.
Which is most annoying? Repetitive fakeouts or Repetitive pointless jump scares?
6:06 Aren't there lawsuits for that?
That the Vulture from Brooklyn 99?
You should do the summer of spring christmas films
Sad part is, I have the same name as Mr. Fake-Out.
Wait is that the vulture?
Wrong Turn 5: bloodlines, also starred Doug Bradley....a cannabolistic killer!!!!
still fun to watch, even at at 5:30am (this review) so thanks 😊
Awesome tshirt sir🏴
I’m pretty sure the guy with “the plan” was just blackmailing him to split the money with him, not participating in the scheme himself.
Lovin it man. 2020 summer of Child’s Play? Summer of Jigsaw?
It's hard to imagine that there are even more poorer/weaker so called "Hellraiser" films than this pile of steaming elephant dung. Another fantastic review. Loving your review of horror films/series. Which is your favourite series?
Didn't piss me off. I had been looking forward to your Guyver: Dark Hero review for a long time. I am glad that you didn't destroy it either, since it is a pretty good film ( it is most certainly a hell of a lot better than the first).
Is that an amogus reference in hellraiser bro when the hellpriest is sus 😈😈😈😈😈😈
If this movie is trying to be Jakob's Ladder, it's failing miserably.
It's so ironic that the actor who drove recklessly now plays "Mayhem " in insurance commercials!
Why don't you has reviewed hellraiser 7 deader hellraiser 8 hellworld
That comic went downhill from issue 9 and by the end it was a self-parody... Remember planet-sized Pinhead orbiting Earth and cracking a joke? Because I still remember.
Am I the only one around here who's got that puzzle box? I gave one to my best friend for his birthday. I know how to get him but next I'm getting the puppet on the tri-cycle from SAW. Oh yeah I was able to get Freddy's glove also.
BgbadWulof I’ve got one that’s made up like a Rubin cube, I would’ve loved to have gotten a straight up box of it though 😊
@@appleheadhoneybun8357 careful what you wish for....
Mayhem, like me.
i watch this film and i enjoyed the story as well he starts seeing shit because he already dead and hes in hell
Next summer do the summer of JAWS. It is a classic horror movie and has enough sequels to make the summer of seagal seem like a trip to Disney World. Translation: It's perfect for you!
OMG Jaws 3 was one of the worst movies I've ever seen.
Ikr
It's only has 4 sequels
3 I mean
