One noteworthy thing that happens in the final fight is that Clay (for a moment at least) was actually able to match strength with Jason. He literally picked Jason up and drove him into the wall. Seriously, no one else up to this point has been able to do that to Jason. So, props to Clay (and Jared Padalecki being a big dude) even though he got his ass kicked soon after
It really confuses me that this remake is as good as it is and yet every fan in the world hated it on its release and only complained about factors that are in every Friday the 13th movie except here we actually got them in R-rated glory instead of a bunch creative ideas that we barely see. It's not a great movie but is a good Friday the 13th movie - Plus their version of sack-head Jason is freaking awesome.
CrittersRule247 That they do. But sometimes they do alright. Hell, sometimes they eclipse the original. Ever listen to the Leonard Cohen original of "Hallelujah" and the Jeff Buckley version back to back?
CrittersRule247 everyone complained about the running but oh my God when he starts running... I nearly clapped myself. Not to mention how he keeps himself, living, and in general acts makes more sense. Now he lives off the land making him good at hunting and what not and not just starving in the middle of the forest.
This is one of the few remakes that I think they did really well on. I wish they had gone further and at least given us a trilogy. They managed to take the best elements from the first 3 films, and condense it into one without making it feel forced or rushed. And they gave us a Jason who is a cunning hunter. Sure he can still crash through walls, take a million hits and keep on moving....but this Jason could run, was skilled with a bow, used bear traps, and made himself tunnels around the camp so he could move between locations lightning fast to kill his next victim. It's one of the few remakes that actually improves on the originals. Though I will admit, I wish they had explained the wood chipper bit a little better.
He's immortable so getting his brain fucked up will not work he's already a zombie he died that day really in my mind and became zombie like because of his mother's angry and thoughts on vegance she basically resarected him with her anger and vegance the min she died so him getting his brain mashed wouldn't have killed him they should of made sure to mush his whole body and burn it then scurry the ashes at 4 parts of the world sort of thing but they don't know he's not easy to kill since it's the first time they have had to fight someone like him
12:34 "Mr. Piccolo, there's a boat headed right for me, what do I do?!" "SWIM LEFT!" "Maybe I can find a flare and signal the captain!" "AAARRRRGGGGHHHHH" Seriously, how hard is it to DOOODDDDGGGEEEEE?
This remake made me fall in love with Jason. The way he looked was awesome and how they made him run was terrifying. Also I loved how they explain how he gets to places so fast cuz of the tunnels and how smart he is at times. What I wish they added was they made him more of a hunter like have carry different weapons. Like a bow on his back. A knife in his boot. An axe on his side and his primary, the machete. I'm probably going overboard with it but I always saw Jason as a hunter. The fact that he's lived in the woods all his life would explain why he is a hunter.
I have to agree with you. I find this movie quite enjoyable. Furthermore am I the only one that feels like this movie is a condensed version on 1,2,&3?
I think that was the intention. Part 1 (Opening Credits) had Jason's Mother being the killer and actually being killed, Part 2 (Pre-Titles) Had Jason become the new killer for the series, was wearing a burlap sac, and the heroine used the "It's your mother, Jason" trick, Part 3 (The Rest of the Movie) gave Jason his iconic hockey mask and also has "die" by being hung/choked to death. Note to self: Take a break from Decker's videos before you get as paranoid as him.
I didn't get bored halfway through but I totally would like to see less fake tits. I for one love a slender body type. Decker was right though not getting to see the wood chipper used was a total cock tease.
Yeah, I really dug this remake It had a lot going for it, a badass Jason, great gore effects, cool death scenes with particular mentions to Chewie's, Bree's, and Nolans, overall I would rate this remake a solid 4/5
Am I the only one who thinks that this movie would have been 100.000 times better if Jared played the one role he is most famous for, and it ended up being Sam Winchester vs. Jason Vorhees?
Well, then both Nana Visitor and Danielle Panabaker should play their most famous roles as well. Don't know what a Bajoran freedom fighter can bring, other than her phaser, but it would be cool to see Jason vs Killer Frost.
Supernatural was gonna have a jason voorhees episode but they couldnt get the rights in time And had to change it www.comingsoon.net/horror/news/707986-supernatural-boys-meet-jason-voorhees
7:32 okay, just *HOW* was she not killed by that?! we see later that she survived, but I don't think Jason could just *stop a machete inches from someone's face.* Especially if it's going that fast and that aggressively.
actually yes he was .. he drowned as a child.. Jason was never alive after drowning as a child.. he was brought back as a Draugur by Mrs. Voorhees and in fact you can even see how this was done in Jason goes to Hell. Mrs. Voorhees used the Necronomicon ex Mortis to revive dead child Jason ... here are some points backing up this claim ... 1. they can change size (child Jason, hulking Jason, worm Jason) 2. cats usually are around Draugurs (in several Friday the 13th films cats are seen during kill scenes ) 3. carry the stench of decay on them (i am sure Jason stinks like a dick that hasn't been washed for a month) 4. protects a treasure (to a mentally handicapped child who was bullied and has no concept of gold or money the greatest treasure would be mother, Jason keeps mothers head with a shrine in his makeshift cabin) 5. Draugurs are usually mean greedy people in life .. or are usually people who were tormented and bullied (Jason doesn't fit the first but sure fits the latter) 6. Draugurs know what they are and like what they do.. its a zombie with consciousness and a sadistic streak 7. Draugurs often mentally torment victims (seen several times with Tommy Jarvis) 8.they can teleport, 9. they know they can not be killed 10. are driven by obsessive willpower... all of these points above show that without a doubt that Jason Voorhees is in fact a Draugur ... and was never alive after his drowning why has no one ever tried taking to Jason? be all like "Jason I'm sorry that happened to you and your mother" I mean it's been established that he understands what people are saying several times in several movies people have used verbal manipulation on him but instead of tricking making him think they are mother Voorhees , why not try being like " it's ok those responsible are dead, Jason, it's over, I'm sorry mother is gone, let's give her a proper burial" ... maybe the reason why Jason continues to kill is that everyone continues to treat him as an outcast, and all that anger pent up from his tormenting as a child is what keeps him going.
it is 100% the case even in the reboot seeing as they had to have Paramount's permission to make the reboot .. see .. New Line Cinema owns the character Jason but not the story to the first 8 movies nor do they own the Title "Friday the 13th" (notice when NLC took ownership none of the movies were called Friday the 13th anymore and they were all Jason goes to Hell, Jason x, Freddy vs Jason) so that means the entire story is present in the reboot since NLC had to have Paramount's permission to make the reboot. which is why you see the Paramount logo in the beginning of the reboot too . also think about this .. why would Mrs. Voorhees wig out and start killing people if Jason didnt die.. it wasnt like she was a psycho killer before Jason drowned .... the whole point of her starting to kill people was she had a mental breakdown after Jason's death ... which means that yes Jason did in fact die as a child. also everything i said above about Jason being a Dragur still applies even in the reboot... does Jason teleport? yes. does Jason change size from child to full grown? yes. is Jason consumed with obsessive will power? yes. does Jason guard a treasure (mother's head)? yes. does Jason mentally torment victims? yes. look at Jason's clothing and the state of his shack is it safe to say that he carries the stench of decay? yes. i bet too if you look around in Jason's shack frame by frame when they find Jason's mom's head that you will see the Necronomicon ex Mortis in that scene .. in the background somewhere just like in Jason goes to Hell it was in the background .. also the fact that Jason's rear skull was thrashed in a wood chipper and in the final scene it was back to normal shows supernatural healing and reconstructive abilities... sorry but an over grown retarded mama's boy doesnt posses that naturally also think back to Creighton Duke ... how do you think he got all the knowledge about how to kill Jason? him being versed on the Necronomicon ex Mortis would make the most sense .. see most people dislike the remake and the later Jason movies because they are idiots and want everything expositioned to them ... then they bitch about too much dialog ...
The movie was okay needed better deaths and some better characters but the actor who played Jason Voorhees in this movie did a great job and for me was the highlight of the movie.
DeltaPrime350 of course he was I mean he’s the one character who is never given any dialogue and is there to murder and look cool. He doesn’t have to deal with the issue of shitty writing because he cannot speak. Think of it as a One last Golden egg
I just realize but.....Friday the 13th remake have Flash actress Danielle Panabaker.....and A Nightmare on Elm Street Remake have Katie Cassidy from Arrow...what a nice coincidence XD.
Wow, I remember seeing this in the theater at the opening midnight show back in '09. Probably one of the funnest experiences I've ever had in a movie theater. Everyone cheering when the marijuana bushel is first discovered, everyone singing along when "Sister Christian" started playing, all of the guys howling during the nude scenes, and one of my boys being high as a kite with a gallon bucket of popcorn and a box of skittles while whispering "Naaaaaaaahhhhhh Jaaaassssssooonnn!" during all of the tense scenes in an attempt to annoy my other buddy who was named Jason. Ah, the memories...
TheFirstEvil100 nah I'd want to be a season 1 episode where the brothers don't have friends that could turn Jason into a pile of goo everytime he gets up XD unless maybe a demon gave him an angel slaying machete or something
Nicole Schoenhoft Not the hunter aspects like using bait and traps? Jason using weaponry with ridiculous efficiency like a bow and arrow? JUST the tunnels?
Decker, I miss this type of music at the end of your new reviews. I understand there's a reason and I like your new setup and I'm happy you're getting more advanced, this just is so nostalgic ♥️
It's kinda sad when you find out that Michael Bay himself actually walked out of this movie because of the sex scene... Really says something when MICHAEL FRIKKIN BAY walks out of your sex-fueled movie.
Decker Shado , you are the greatest movie reviewer that I have ever watched. I learned that you only review movies you actually have and I probably enjoy your reviews because we have the same taste in film entertainment. Keep up the great work!
dang, now I wish this Jason could be in the game. it'd probably work pretty well; Jason can run almost as fast as a counselors sprint, The cool-down on his other abilities are quickened by a few seconds, He can know clearer than other Jasons as to where counselors are based off their sound and fear, all around a pretty great Jason that I'm sure most players would use! heck, the sleeping bag kill could have an alternative when using this Jason where you hang the sleeping bag over a Camp-fire and leave it. that way, another counselor could interfere and free the trapped-and-cooking counselor in the bag! *Perfect. :)*
CodyBlue1105 A good idea would be to completely remove the shift ability and give him a short term burst of speed where he breaks into a sprint. That would be fucking awesome. He'd also be less durable, still have the run...it could be awesome.
I kinda liked how they brought back the cruel aspect of Freddy's character in the film, but I didn't like how they tried to humanize Krueger. I enjoy it mostly for Jackie Earl Haley's performance as Krueger.
@@cmurphy0707 people don't seem to get that even in the beginning he did make fun of people but it was in The Shakespearean way. And only later devolved into a more mockery of I just read your diary kind of way then later into a homicidal version of Bugs Bunny.
To counter your closing argument regarding Jason's lack of injury until the finale; Lawrence manages to fend him off extremely well when he goes to look for Chewie in the tool shed. He elbows him off, dodges multiple times, and stabs him in the leg. His vulnerability in this one reminds me a lot of Parts 2-4. And the way Jason animates really makes me think of the raging Kane Hodder performances if they were for human Jason! The above fight scene really adds some variety to the film; I found the original movies often only had one or two particularly interesting scenes. Great camera work, lighting (quality, not the style), and (surprisingly) acting, gave this one some serious charm for me.
Now THAT is what I'm talking about. They don't just pay homage to the OG Friday films; they pay homage to the OG Friday films plus some agility stats. True, the pacing can be just as inconsistent as ever, but Jason himself is much more fierce and scary. Some of the characters are likable enough to make their death impactful. Chewie especially was an entertaining guy, and Larry trying to save him made it all the more tough to see him briefly used as live bait. Unlike Nightmare 2010, this movie really went all out.
@@NIGHTMARE-dn1cz seeing how this comment is over 2 years old, long before Halloween(2018) came out, it's safe to assume it's the Rob Zombie version in which they are referring to.
Couple of notes: 1. In the opening, you didn't say "start the body count"---what are we without our catch phrases? 2. It appears Jason does utilize bait with the help of a bear trap in the opening segment. 3. You didn't touch on how sound was used to enhance Jason death blows. 4. We aren't going to discuss Jason having a personalize bed frame. Crystal lake IKEA? 5. Final jump scare: Jason thrown in no mask/jumps out masked. Love ya, Deck
I enjoy this remake a lot. Jason seemed so much more brutal, he actually runs which is nice as well. He's a bonafide bad ass in this version. Is he Kane Hodder cool? No, Hodders movements as Jason was more memorable. Plus part 7 is my favorite look for Jason. The characters are nothing surprising here. Jenna is the only death that was actually kinda sad, I actually liked her. The one thing I can't stand about this film is the ending, it left a lot to be desired. For one the climax battle was lame, and them throwing Jason in the lake just felt out of place. The wood chipper slicing up the top of Jasons head wasn't satisfying at all. Even part 3 had an axe go into his skull, I feel like it should have been something along those lines.
NANA VISITOR!? Pamela Voorhees was Kira Nerys from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine!? Thank you, Decker Shado, I would not have realized that if hadn't been thorough and awesome :D
Decker I've just started watching your content (and also just subscribed this month.) And well, it's all really good content. The way you blend the comedy with the seriousness, unlike other channels. You know when to stop and get back to it. No offense to Nostalgia Critic, but he goes way off the deep end with some of his reviews, and his newer reviews they are way too cheesy and nonserious, but that's just my opinion. Please no hate man, I'm not trying to compare anyone's content and judge.
personally i like the way nostalgia critic does his reviews he shows the ridiculousness of the film by portraying it in skit form including pop culture references which always ends with the final thought of the film Nostalgia critic is way more creative than decker shado, which is why critic is better IN MY OPINION but decker shado also has funny content so i like him too
But NC has a whole production crew, and a lot of other things that allow him to be more creative. If you watch nostalgia critic's earliest reviews then you'll see that he was very similar to Decker. Decker does a lot of reviews on his own or with the help of Creepy or Nekotwins.
I like Decker and NC for different reasons. If I want a crazy, slapstick review extravaganza I go to NC. If I'm looking for a calm, down-to-earth comedic review, I go Decker.
I remember wanting to see how this would go and wished they simply did an origin story following Jason growing up through the the 60's 70's and 80's on his deranged mission to avenge his mother's death.
jafantino hooks what are you braindead? I saw this : Friday the 13th 2009 Halloween 2007 Halloween 2009 A Nighmare on Elm Street 2010 in the movie theater what a waste of money not just mine but the movie studios involved 10 / 4 / 2017 5:25pm nys USA
the one where the girl dies in the sleeping bag over the 🔥 right as her boyfriend trying to come save her that was awesome probably one of the best kills in the movie
Ignoring the actual Jason lore... they couldn't even defeat the one tulpa they ever encountered. They just burned down the house and hoped it'd not evolve the ability to leave it
I thought this remake/reboot whatever was actually pretty good. Just like you said, this really feels like an actual friday the 13th movie, which is hard to pull off since it now doesn't have that 80s charm.
Show of hands, who would've preferred that they bring in Jensen Ackles as well and turn this into a crossover between Friday the 13th and Supernatural?
Because naturally, they'd throw the body of a psycho killer that doesn't die, into the lake instead of burning it or waiting for more help to arrive after Trent used the radio to call in an officer down, and then toss his mask into the water only seconds later...you know, he might need it in the afterlife or something.
Here's a question: When and how the hell did Jenna go from wearing a skirt to jeans and a jacket? Seriously, when she leaves with Clay she doesn't take a change of clothes with her. So, when and how did she change outfits?
This one is the scariest. Sure, he's not supernatural and can be killed or even beaten in a fight, but he runs and is far more agile and intelligent than all previous interpretations.
This is how Jason is suppose to be before he becomes a zombie. Here is a some info from imdb. Mears has stated that he wants to return to the classic, more intense versions of Jason shown in the early films of 1980 through 1985. Audiences can expect Jason to run and be a thinker, and he will be smart and not just an aimless zombie. thus, Jason resembles the speed and mystery of the Steve Dash and the balding hair and a deformed face of Warrington Gillette's portrayal in Part 2, the stalking habits and intelligence of Richard Brooker's portrayal in Part 3, and the intensity and menace of Ted White from The Final Chapter. Mears will most likely remind us of the brutal performance that White put on. When Jason (C.J. Graham) was resurrected in Jason Lives / Part VI, he became a slow-walking zombie sort of wraith that was almost a self-referencing parody of the slasher film villains. Horror icon Kane Hodder, who originally appeared in Part VII: The New Blood as Jason and then would return to the role for Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan, Jason Goes to Hell, and Jason X. Hodder turned Jason into an antihero of the series rather than a villain, and played the character the most times. Hodder has become best known for his portrayal as Jason. In Freddy vs. Jason, the role went to Ken Kirzinger, who brought a more sympathetic view of the character to the screen. Caleb Guss, who plays the younger version of Jason, more closely resembles the character seen in the first Friday the 13th played by Ari Lehman and Freddy vs Jason's Spencer Stump. He does not resemble the "normal" looking kid Jason, played by Tim Mirkovich in Part VIII.
It's one of the good ones, with a subtle take on the "Mike Myer-ish ones and thus, it's AWESOME AS FU*K!!! Was almost expecting a "tilt head sideway" move each and every time he'd waste a fool... Didn't get that close, so it wasn't an imitation, but close enough to both be reminiscent of Kane Hodder's best gimmicka and then again, have an honorable dose of that "Myer in a Shatner mask" feels! Bloody-brilliant mate!
This a random question, but; when you do your character-stupidity induced headsmack, have you ever hurt yourself doing it, or had to do another take because you hit yourself too hard? I'd like to know. lol
I liked how it showed how Jason had the trip wires that rung the bells under the camp. Shows how he gets to places quickly. I thought it was good personally
This movie is super underrated. They did one thing that I really wasn't expected. They made me care. Not about the bland leads or anything, but about the two stoner buddies. Cause they were friendly and funny. I legitimately wanted them to live, so when they were in danger I was actually in suspense. Other than that, it's a relatively by-the-numbers slasher, but it got major points for having a couple of characters I actually cared about.
I tougth the whole deal was that Paramouny owned the trademark Friday The 13th, while newline only bougth Jason, and that that was the reason that all their movies exept for the remake didn't have Friday The 13th in the tittle
Fokking hell m8 why does Decker not have a shit ton of subscribers at this point, the universe is against him even when all of the cards are in his favor, it's honestly ridiculous!
This could technically be cannon for Supernatural it's just in an alternate reality where Sam and Dean are not brothers and they don't even know each other but can still be hunters
I loved this movie simply because it actually made Jason look believable. Showing how he gets around, that he’s not all that supernatural. Sure he’s still a hulking and nearly unstoppable maniac, but it’s still more believable.
The idea of jason being SO much faster and agressive looks really cool : D
Yeah.....WAY better than Ken Kirzingers version.....
Khalil Rivera Yeah I guess that makes sense......
Ken was the closest to Steve Dash, though.
Slendy sensei exactly! It makes it twice as scary

But to be fair, a lot of them do deserve it.

Ahh, more teenagers that don't look anything like teenagers.
Gameplay and Talk you can't have sex scenes with actual teen actors, and very few good actors look like teens
Gameplay and Talk college students not teenager's
Yes you can have sex scenes with teens. If you are 18 or 19 you are legally an adult and can indeed be in sex scenes

I honestly enjoyed the 2009 remake, despite what everyone is saying.
Ya, last time I watched it I really enjoyed it and it was actually really intense.
It's not completely terrible. Then again, not many horror movies have some sort of deep philosophic meaning.
I have to agree with you. I find this movie quite enjoyable. Furthermore am I the only one that feels like this movie is a condensed version on 1,2,&3?

I don't get all the hate around this remake. I like it.
Same here. It was enjoyable.

+Patrick Condron personally (and I know I'll get hate for this) I think the remake is actually better then the originals (that's my opinion)
The issues I had with it was the characters seemed bland, the musical score was weak and the ending sucked
kelly wilson whitehead if u havnt seen part 4 u hav a pass otherwise ur out of ur mind
Don't fuck with Jason's weed
the other ghost girl Jason that my fucking weed.... lets joust bitch. fights jason for weed and wins.
Am I the only one who thinks that this movie would have been 100.000 times better if Jared played the one role he is most famous for, and it ended up being Sam Winchester vs. Jason Vorhees?
It most certainly would be, but it would be even better if it was Dean instead of Sam
But Jason is in supernatural in this film. The movie where he gets brought back to life is when Sam and Dean should come in.
Aleksi Heikkilä I like Dean more.
Well, then both Nana Visitor and Danielle Panabaker should play their most famous roles as well.

no worries man
Ken Mabie - FIND ME ON BITCHUTE well this is a reboot not a continuation so that might not be the case anymore
it is 100% the case even in the reboot seeing as they had to have Paramount's permission to make the reboot .. see .. which is why you see the Paramount logo in the beginning of the reboot too .
also think about this .. why would Mrs. Voorhees wig out and start killing people if Jason didnt die.. it wasnt like she was a psycho killer before Jason drowned .... the whole point of her starting to kill people was she had a mental breakdown after Jason's death ... which means that yes Jason did in fact die as a child. also everything i said above about Jason being a Dragur still applies even in the reboot... does Jason teleport? yes. does Jason change size from child to full grown? yes. is Jason consumed with obsessive will power? yes. does Jason guard a treasure (mother's head)? yes. does Jason mentally torment victims? yes. look at Jason's clothing and the state of his shack is it safe to say that he carries the stench of decay? yes. i bet too if you look around in Jason's shack frame by frame when they find Jason's mom's head that you will see the Necronomicon ex Mortis in that scene .. in the background somewhere just like in Jason goes to Hell it was in the background .. also the fact that Jason's rear skull was thrashed in a wood chipper and in the final scene it was back to normal shows supernatural healing and reconstructive abilities... sorry but an over grown retarded mama's boy doesnt posses that naturally
also think back to Creighton Duke ... how do you think he got all the knowledge about how to kill Jason? him being versed on the Necronomicon ex Mortis would make the most sense ..
see most people dislike the remake and the later Jason movies because they are idiots and want everything expositioned to them ... then they bitch about too much dialog ...
I've noticed through out this summer your humour has become a lot more witty and smart I like it
The movie was okay needed better deaths and some better characters but the actor who played Jason Voorhees in this movie did a great job and for me was the highlight of the movie.
@Kusanagikaiser999 Katie Cassidy was also the first Ruby on Supernatural who dated and mentored Sam Winchester played by Jared Padalecki.
Xd
Ah, the memories...
is this seriously age restricted because he comes out of the shower? lol
Decker: shows man nipples
UA-cam: wait, that’s illegal
@@lizzyelisabeth6797 Should've given himself a set of smilies.
Now I just wanna see The Winchester Brothers vs Jason Voorhees
Yeah me too and they have help from powerful friends as well.
TheFirstEvil100 nah I'd want to be a season 1 episode where the brothers don't have friends that could turn Jason into a pile of goo everytime he gets up XD unless maybe a demon gave him an angel slaying machete or something
Hunter Hendry
oh that is true I mean I know that it will be hard for them both, but I also know that Jason will meet his head at their hands.
For a while at least
Only a voorhees can kill a voorhees...remember that.
The only good thing this movie added was showing how Jason teleported everywhere with the tunnels. That, I actually really liked.
Nicole Schoenhoft Not the hunter aspects like using bait and traps? Jason using weaponry with ridiculous efficiency like a bow and arrow? JUST the tunnels?
@FERMINDAL Using utilities no other slasher villain uses makes Jason generic?
@FERMINDAL Oooookaaayy
@UltrasonicPlasma Lol
@daDrake Probably is.
Every slasher movie I watch, I fell like shouting, "Sam! Dean!"
We got Sam atleast. 👍
yep and the My Bloody Valentine remake got Dean.
That's like calling Batman in on a crime story; invite the Winchesters and it's over too quickly.
Lol yeah I mean with all that they have faced I think that Jason would be easy I mean they have fought lucifer and now Amara God's older sister.
He was the Host for Lucifer, guy has nothing to fear!
Otto von Doom Notice there was no explosions? that's the real reason why.
He went to go beat off
Ugh. Hypocrite.
The sex scenes are a core part of this franchise fuck Michael bay!!!
Decker Shado , you are the greatest movie reviewer that I have ever watched. I learned that you only review movies you actually have and I probably enjoy your reviews because we have the same taste in film entertainment. Keep up the great work!
I hate the jumpscare explosions, they're just annoying.
i kind of like it, but they're used WAY to much and should be quieter
Jumpsplosions!
What do you expect. Michael Bay helped make it
you're new to Michael Bay , then
a M.B. virgin huh
0:10 (subtitles on) "Today on ray versus Teresa"
I smacked my forehead so hard,I knocked myself out! XD
Imagine if Jason got face hugged and a Jason Xeno hybrid would be born its like the total mashup of you're fucked
dang, now I wish this Jason could be in the game. it'd probably work pretty well; Jason can run almost as fast as a counselors sprint, The cool-down on his other abilities are quickened by a few seconds, He can know clearer than other Jasons as to where counselors are based off their sound and fear, all around a pretty great Jason that I'm sure most players would use! heck, the sleeping bag kill could have an alternative when using this Jason where you hang the sleeping bag over a Camp-fire and leave it. that way, another counselor could interfere and free the trapped-and-cooking counselor in the bag! *Perfect. :)*
CodyBlue1105 I hope they put him in too, he looks badass too, it could be the highest lvl Jason
CodyBlue1105 A good idea would be to completely remove the shift ability and give him a short term burst of speed where he breaks into a sprint. That would be fucking awesome. He'd also be less durable, still have the run...it could be awesome.
Matt S. that would be terrifying
CodyBlue1105 So basically you want a cheat character?
@@slayer-22 That'd be terrifying
so nightmare had the shittier remake
THE EXTRA THICC DARK LORD WAAAAAAAAAAY shittier
Well . . . without Robert Englund and trying to make Freddy edgier, it was bound to be failure.
I'd like it a lot more if the main characters weren't 1 dimensional, but I'd personally rather watch it than the original.
lol i love deckers headslaps 😂😂😂
Same with how he starts the videos.
they are epic
He must have a headache after those slaps.
Sean Creedon i only liked because of your profile picture
poo
Yes, Nana Visitor is her real name. If you watched Star Trek DS9, you'd recognize her as Major Kira Nerys, the Bajoran XO on the station.
While he’s having Jason sign his liver😂😂😂
this is my favorite of the remakes
I mean I like em both but this one is better in my opinion
thanks for not being a jerk about it
"The Hill Have Eyes" and "The Crazies" remakes are both superior to this film.
lacked thrower86 your favourite of what remakes?
lacked thrower86 this and the hills have eyes are the best horror remakes
Now THAT is what I'm talking about. They don't just pay homage to the OG Friday films; they pay homage to the OG Friday films plus some agility stats. True, the pacing can be just as inconsistent as ever, but Jason himself is much more fierce and scary. Some of the characters are likable enough to make their death impactful. Chewie especially was an entertaining guy, and Larry trying to save him made it all the more tough to see him briefly used as live bait. Unlike Nightmare 2010, this movie really went all out.
When it said "in association with Michael Bay" I was expecting a bunch of explosions & Jason becoming a Transformer.
At least this wasn't complete dog shit like the NOES remake.
Easily the more unique interpretations of Jason. Dude is like a murder happy Rambo.
The Friday the 13th remake was a lot better than those horrific remakes of Halloween, Texas Chainsaw and Amityville Horror
I kind of like the Amityville Horror. It had its moments.
Which do you mean Rob zombies remakes or the new Halloween remake?
@@NIGHTMARE-dn1cz seeing how this comment is over 2 years old, long before Halloween(2018) came out, it's safe to assume it's the Rob Zombie version in which they are referring to.
@@leonplie8001 nobody likes robs shitty film

Most victims are white people in all of the horror films made in North America
@@pandalgaming6644 Mrs. Voorhees was a pervert? So, Jason didn't drown. He was running away from his sexually abusive mother.
@@pandalgaming6644 Chewie wasn’t a pervert. He was the designated funny man.
Couple of notes:
5. Don’t they throw in the mask after the body ? 🧐
Warner bros if they wanted could have Jason vs Godzilla
and JLA vs Godzilla
Godzilla would win.
Godzilla still wins. You are talking about an indestructible Kaiju who is also the most powerful Kaiju of them all.
I really want to see Jason go up against the Frankenstein monster (the classic one)
+kelly wilson whitehead
Jason would knock that bum clean out. Frankenstein's monster's skills are basic.

Happy Halloween, Decker!
Please no hate man, I'm not trying to compare anyone's content and judge.
personally i like the way nostalgia critic does his reviews
he shows the ridiculousness of the film by portraying it in skit form including pop culture references which always ends with the final thought of the film
Nostalgia critic is way more creative than decker shado, which is why critic is better IN MY OPINION
but decker shado also has funny content so i like him too
But NC has a whole production crew, and a lot of other things that allow him to be more creative. If you watch nostalgia critic's earliest reviews then you'll see that he was very similar to Decker. Decker does a lot of reviews on his own or with the help of Creepy or Nekotwins.
I know and that's what I enjoy, just basic comical reviews, none of that cheesy over the top production
The_Aurian_Gamer its fine not everyone has to like something
I like Decker and NC for different reasons. If I want a crazy, slapstick review extravaganza I go to NC. If I'm looking for a calm, down-to-earth comedic review, I go Decker.
I remember wanting to see how this would go and wished they simply did an origin story following Jason growing up through the the 60's 70's and 80's on his deranged mission to avenge his mother's death.
The 2009 Friday The 13th remake is in my opinion the best one.
Hands down

How? Jason just teleports everywhere and constantly knows where everyone is at all times. I don’t see the fun or suspenseful horror in that.
If Paramount kept the rights for the MCU and Friday the 13th, we could've gotten an Iron-man vs Jason Voorhees
" I just want the damn kids to leave my marijuana patch alone. "
the one where the girl dies in the sleeping bag over the 🔥 right as her boyfriend trying to come save her that was awesome probably one of the best kills in the movie
it's a throwback
Come on Sam! you've faced Lucifer, Demons, Angels, Vampires. I'm sure you could follow the lore on Jason and defeat him. Maybe he's a tulpa!
Ignoring the actual Jason lore... they couldn't even defeat the one tulpa they ever encountered. They just burned down the house and hoped it'd not evolve the ability to leave it
I thought this remake/reboot whatever was actually pretty good. Just like you said, this really feels like an actual friday the 13th movie, which is hard to pull off since it now doesn't have that 80s charm.
can you review tucker and dale vs evil?
Iwas just thinking the same thing when he was talking about the wood chipper.
The wood chipper is my favorite & the BEST scene from Tucker & Dale
+NerfZombieHunter Or when they are being chased by bees ^^
I love that part too!
I agree so find time to review this please?
Show of hands, who would've preferred that they bring in Jensen Ackles as well and turn this into a crossover between Friday the 13th and Supernatural?
Fun fact: A character named Trent played by the same guy in this movie appears in transformers and both have the same character traits.
I really liked the portrayal of Jason in this one. Like part 6 he was fast, clever, and insanely brutal
WTF I just realized Pamela Voorhees is played by Major Kira

When they throw him in the water unmasked, how does he get the mask back?
Taylor Wilmes he's got a stash lol
Because naturally, they'd throw the body of a psycho killer that doesn't die, into the lake instead of burning it or waiting for more help to arrive after Trent used the radio to call in an officer down, and then toss his mask into the water only seconds later...you know, he might need it in the afterlife or something.
"Sign his Liver" I love the clever lol
" Nothing like picking a fight with a random stranger.."

Here's a question: When and how the hell did Jenna go from wearing a skirt to jeans and a jacket?
Seriously, when she leaves with Clay she doesn't take a change of clothes with her. So, when and how did she change outfits?
At 1:50 where Decker was going "FFFFFFFFFF-" I thought his teeth were going to go flying off-
Now finally bring on Freddy Vs. Jason
Lmfaoo, little remarks like 17:40 is why I keep coming back to your channel.
Honestly I like this movie. I love the survivalist Jason.
19:34
When I saw that in theaters i was like "Dude, that is so not fair."
To me this Jason is one of the top 3 performances in the series.
DeltaPrime350 is Kane Hoder one of them
This one is the scariest. Sure, he's not supernatural and can be killed or even beaten in a fight, but he runs and is far more agile and intelligent than all previous interpretations.
DeltaPrime350 can you please tell your other performances and from which movie ? You made me curious
0:06 showering with no water (BRUH-MOMENT)
What's Sam Winchester doing in this movie? Isn't he supposed to be hunting demons with his brother?
I’d argue two changes:
1. Jenna should have survived.
2. Trent should have gone into the wood chipper.
Agreed.
When can we expect the freddy vs jason review decker???
In a couple hours. Gotta finish uploading and processing on UA-cam's end.
Or finish enough to post, anyway.
This a random question, but; when you do your character-stupidity induced headsmack, have you ever hurt yourself doing it, or had to do another take because you hit yourself too hard? I'd like to know. lol
Can you please review the final destination and saw series
That is not how you write died
Nickolas Adams Oh shiiiit
I liked how it showed how Jason had the trip wires that rung the bells under the camp. Shows how he gets to places quickly. I thought it was good personally
...anybody else want a supernatural and friday the 13th cross over now?
They had a Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, Evild dead comic crossover.
Yeah, but a comic is just not the same. Actors on-screen makes it more amazing. Especially with Bruce Campbell.
kurvos What about the game coming out? That looks pretty Dank.
Peyton Spain ... there's a crossover game coming out? What the hell are you talking about?
kurvos Not a crossover, but there is a Friday the 13th game coming out.
Can I recommend a few horror movies series to do???
1.Scream
2.Halloween
3.Final Destination
4.I know what you did last summer series
NotToBeTrusted and the psycho series!!
Him doing final destination would be epic
I tougth the whole deal was that Paramouny owned the trademark Friday The 13th, while newline only bougth Jason, and that that was the reason that all their movies exept for the remake didn't have Friday The 13th in the tittle
Fokking hell m8 why does Decker not have a shit ton of subscribers at this point, the universe is against him even when all of the cards are in his favor, it's honestly ridiculous!
Don't worry he stills has the Halloween series and Childs play to go over plus many other films lol
I'd love to see him do a Texas on Halloween crossover
I'm glad someone that knows how to make good videos made a series on both Freddy and Jason. Thanks mate. Watched them all.
Sam only Knows about how to stay alive because he's on supernatural duh lol

I loved this movie simply because it actually made Jason look believable. Showing how he gets around, that he’s not all that supernatural. Sure he’s still a hulking and nearly unstoppable maniac, but it’s still more believable.
Nice video decker shadow
Second best Jason, just after the legendary Kane Hodder. Too bad they didn't continue doing more movies.
Decker, when you finish all of these, do Wrong Turn series. If by any chance..
