Stevie ... what an incredible performer he was! And that voice ... the best of the era? I just loved this band ... outstanding musicians, the whole bloody lot! No wonder Jagger wouldn't sign Steve on after Brian Jones' demise ... Stevie would have pulled the curtain on Mick.
Actually, Steve Marriott was auditioned at Keith Richard's request to replace Mick Taylor as a guitarist in 1974 - Taylor having replaced the unfortunate Brian Jones. When Jagger heard Marriott sing, he refused to have him on board. We both know why!
Around the 3:06 -minute Mark of the vid the way Steve Marriott wipes his mouth off with the back of his hand as he finishes up his lead run is just boss! What a kick ass rock and roll attitude!
Love ronnie, his voice and these lyrics💕 but does anyone else roll back to Steve's dance moves in those mod shoes, then wipe his face while holding his 🎸 up for that crazy solo moment !?! Addicting
Steve put his West End acting chops on full display here---I don't think there ever was a cooler rock star than Steve with SF. Absolutely bloody brilliant!
What always amazes me is how 3, 4 or 5 guys meet , (accidently many times) and gel together enough to be able to make brilliant music together like Small Faces , The Beatles, The Who , Sex Pistols etc
Love all the songs they made. I met my hubby ❤️ and I had never heard of them, but I'm so glad I do, as our song is autumn stone forever 28 yrs Xmas Eve Amsterdam honeymoon Steve wd be proud. Had a spliff for him. Hero and my hair similar to his when younger. Sad loss after hubby's brother passed too. Has his autograph too. RIP Stevie
I recommend to anyone" Ogden's Nut Gone Flake" even today every single song is excellent. Ronnie Lane had MS and died from it.. Such a loss both Steve and Ronnie.
Certo dia, era final dos anos 60 ou começo dos anos 70. Ouvi pela primeira vez SF. Cara, aquilo me arrepiou. Saudades de quem sabia fazer som com o coração. Sou privilegiado por testemunhar o surgimento dos deuses do verdadeiro rock.
Boy, they are musically positioned right in the middle of everybody at that time. I can hear Who, Stones, Cream, Hendrix, Yardbirds/Zeppelin, all in the mix of this song.
Not sure what pickup Steve put in that Tele but it sure has got some crunch. Such an underrated guitar player even with the Pie. He was not that at all he was a monster even back when he was with the Small Faces.
I defy anybody globally to find a better live offering ..... STUNNING, STUNNING VID ..💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥 i love the moment ronny lane suppresses a giggle at stevie, he knows how brilliant this is.
I think Keith Richards told Steve to just play it straight, and don't dance when he showed up for his audition because Keith new that Mick would not like it. You can't tell Steve Marriott not to get into the music and not move around while he's playing he just can't do it. So Mick didn't want anybody to show him up. But in the long run I think Mick and Keith still would have picked Ronnie Wood
Let's face it here's a rock song about baking bread, no need (pardon the pun) to go on about middle earth or dark stuff and banging on about being rock stars just do this kind of song😁
I don't think anyone, not even The Small Faces themselves, realised at the time how good they were.
You`re right. So they could wrote their incredible songs
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
KENNY JONES !!!!!
One of my fav. song , back in to the 60's ...beauty memories ..now I am 72 years...
I am with you there - I am now 75!
I‘m with you, I‘m 71! It was pure, without any tricks, drums were drums, guitars were guitars, and rock music was hard work. Great time!

Stevie Marriott, just a force of nature!
If EVER a band deserved recognition, this was truly 1
What rock n roll should be! Dirty, ramshackle sound, loud , full of energy and talented passion!!!
Ronnie Lane, what a talent !
I think, all of them where outstanding talents
Ronnie nailed it. Fantastic performance
Faces were such an awesome band!
Stevie ... what an incredible performer he was! And that voice ... the best of the era? I just loved this band ... outstanding musicians, the whole bloody lot! No wonder Jagger wouldn't sign Steve on after Brian Jones' demise ... Stevie would have pulled the curtain on Mick.

It’s great to rediscover the late Steve Marriott and this whole band
What a fantastic song by the Small Faces,. this one rocks harder than the entire heavy metal music. Love this group so much.
So true.
Around the 3:06 -minute Mark of the vid the way Steve Marriott wipes his mouth off with the back of his hand as he finishes up his lead run is just boss! What a kick ass rock and roll attitude!

As a young 16yr old mod i was privelidged to have seen them twice...
Very good musicians with flair and electricity!!
Thats my old Telecaster..... Steve loved its beaten up look.... swapped me his pink LP Special for it in 1967. Rip Steve.👍🇬🇧
Great Roony's voice and great Steve's guitar. They have also a great place in Rock music history.

Can't stop listening to this song!
Such power. I was in a couple power rock trios like this.
Brilliant..Steve..musically all rounder ..like Jeff Lynne and Dave..
Just a pup , here at 65 yrs. Old. Never give up
Music that brings back memories of an incredible time.
Love Ronnie’s bass in this.
Steve got that getting off work on a Friday energy.
small faces...damn what a band

And Ian McLagan died in 2014......Kenney Jones is the only person from this video still alive.
What a great sound from a great band !!
Steve was their best front man, period!

Those were the days
Boy, they are musically positioned right in the middle of everybody at that time. I can hear Who, Stones, Cream, Hendrix, Yardbirds/Zeppelin, all in the mix of this song.
They were the evolutionary link between The Who and Jimi Hendrix.
All those bands fed off each other at this time, it was a massively creative period.
Precious!
Used to buy their singles in the 60s . I ve come across this clip and became so nostalgic .
Muy adelantados para la época. Suenan increíbles.
Ya se empieza a notar el advenimiento de estilos como Humble Pie y el rock un poquito más duro
Awesome 101 !!
Great to see one of Steve's guitars befor his last playing Gibson ES 335
Love this 1968 I was 18 years ago
Me to bro..
Amazing song.
He was a real rockaroller!!
Danke..fürs. Senden
Estos eran los dias del mundo que ya ne existe.

Phenomenal.❤❤

I wondered that myself. What’s bothering me is how familiar it looks - but I can’t place it. Maybe off a Rickenbacker?
P 90.
But it's really Steve, not the pickup. 🤙
Looks more like a Filtertron to me
I also vote filtertron.
*goosebumps*

01:58 Hey Joe inspired bass line.
What a man
I'm 69. I love this song ❤️
At 2:31 through 2:33, you can see Steve, licking a slight blood cut on the back of his hand. Those guitar strings were sharp in those years.
Not on my copy!
I wonder of why that is?! 🤔
The best music was during this time period. I’m home.
Steve Marriot what a performer
Love it!!
One of the few surviving broadcasts from BBC 2 Colour Me Pop

Sheer Class Ogdens Nutgone Flake,Psychedelic Masterpeice 😍💖💯
Really good guys the lead singer like young Steven stills the piano player was laying it down man
Nice song; never heard this.
nice rock song!
Siguen. Sonando. Genial
Nettes kleines Cannabis-Ständchen.
Eine schöne Erinnerung an die Zeit, bevor Steve Marriott durchdrehte.
''Can you recommend any music for a children's party?''
''Small Faces?''
''Off course they have they're kids!''
😂😂😂
Steve Marriott what a talent
So totally agree
,same here back to the sixties I am 75
fucking love the early crossover of mid 60's R&B to late 60's rock... perfectly done in this 68 classic
So young omg

I can see why Mick Jagger was intimidated by Steve.
Kathy, Very intimated and rightly so , Steve was a force to be reckoned with even back then.
@@paullevine1813 agreed, I wish he had a happier ending.
Steve was better and multi talented.
Mick is nice stripper. Steve was the man.
