      I‘m with you, I‘m 71! It was pure, without any tricks, drums were drums, guitars were guitars, and rock music was hard work. Great time!

    Stevie ... what an incredible performer he was! And that voice ... the best of the era? I just loved this band ... outstanding musicians, the whole bloody lot! No wonder Jagger wouldn't sign Steve on after Brian Jones' demise ... Stevie would have pulled the curtain on Mick.

      Actually, Steve Marriott was auditioned at Keith Richard's request to replace Mick Taylor as a guitarist in 1974 - Taylor having replaced the unfortunate Brian Jones. When Jagger heard Marriott sing, he refused to have him on board. We both know why!

      Around the 3:06 -minute Mark of the vid the way Steve Marriott wipes his mouth off with the back of his hand as he finishes up his lead run is just boss! What a kick ass rock and roll attitude!

    Thats my old Telecaster..... Steve loved its beaten up look.... swapped me his pink LP Special for it in 1967. Rip Steve.👍🇬🇧

    What always amazes me is how 3, 4 or 5 guys meet , (accidently many times) and gel together enough to be able to make brilliant music together like Small Faces , The Beatles, The Who , Sex Pistols etc

    Love all the songs they made. I met my hubby ❤️ and I had never heard of them, but I'm so glad I do, as our song is autumn stone forever 28 yrs Xmas Eve Amsterdam honeymoon Steve wd be proud. Had a spliff for him. Hero and my hair similar to his when younger. Sad loss after hubby's brother passed too. Has his autograph too. RIP Stevie

    I recommend to anyone" Ogden's Nut Gone Flake" even today every single song is excellent.
    Ronnie Lane had MS and died from it.. Such a loss both Steve and Ronnie.

    Boy, they are musically positioned right in the middle of everybody at that time. I can hear Who, Stones, Cream, Hendrix, Yardbirds/Zeppelin, all in the mix of this song.

    Not sure what pickup Steve put in that Tele but it sure has got some crunch. Such an underrated guitar player even with the Pie. He was not that at all he was a monster even back when he was with the Small Faces.

    At 2:31 through 2:33, you can see Steve, licking a slight blood cut on the back of his hand. Those guitar strings were sharp in those years.

      I think Keith Richards told Steve to just play it straight, and don't dance when he showed up for his audition because Keith new that Mick would not like it. You can't tell Steve Marriott not to get into the music and not move around while he's playing he just can't do it. So Mick didn't want anybody to show him up. But in the long run I think Mick and Keith still would have picked Ronnie Wood
