I just wish I could of had a chance to have seen Small Faces live, Steve Marriott was an great artist he definitely will be remembered as an legion, it’s so unfair he wasn’t recognized not only for his ability to play many different instruments & the fact that his voice never was off key, I like to believe that he now sings for the King of all Kings, what an honor that is, so to his 3 children I say with love, I’d like to say thank you for sharing him with us, because in you he carry’s on,,, LuBelle from USA
There'll never be another Steve Marriott or Small Faces. Don't see this mix of fun & talent these days. Lighten Kids! Great music can be fun and still cool!
Had 2 copies of this Gem signed by the boys when they came to Australia . Had 30 free tix to see them at Festival Hall . Not sure the oldies who were my work mates understood the significance of the night . Still break out Tin Soldier and Bakers song with my Maton Natural every so oft . Just a great time back then . Same deal for me with The Who . The Ox was a nice guy to me the junior office boy at the Intercontinental . Cheers Cunts from the Ancient Metal Guy . Thanks for the Post Robin .
Had no idea they ever performed this. They mimed the music but actually sang live. King Stanley Unwin is live too. Very cool! Rock on Kenney, RIP Steve, Mac, and Ronnie.
Far from a novelty band, they were the real deal - East End mods that formed a band - unlike the Who/High Numbers who were moulded into a novelty band - Small Faces along with The Action were the genuine article.
Sorry, this is not live. I attended a live concert of the Small Faces in Antwerp at that time. They were amazingly good, but there was a clear difference live and the lp (and other hits).
@@jamespritchett6627 No, the top one is a Wurlitzer 140, the bottom one is a Hammond M100 and Steve is on a harpsichord. But everything is mimic here (except some vocals).

I still love the Small Faces. Steve Marriott...so multi-talented.
Definitely in my all time top ten. Magnificent & funny . RIP Ronnie, Steve & Mac. 👍🇬🇧🏆🏆🏆

My favourite SF album and way ahead of its time

Ogdenˋs is an epical Masterpiece.
Awesome, awesome, awesome! Nothing more to say.
aBSOLUTLEY AMAZING….didn’t think they could do Ogden live
This album is a masterpiece 💎. Giant!
“The Journey” has such a cool hook to it and is sooo Ronnie Lane psychedelic.
great things come in small faces...excellent multi talented great guys

Brilliant
The whole performance, right on.
Superb band!
What?! I was born in 1969 & always thought of Small faces as a sort of novelty Mod act. They're a full on rock band.
Joined later by Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood to become The Faces. That's historic.
Far from a novelty band, they were the real deal - East End mods that formed a band - unlike the Who/High Numbers who were moulded into a novelty band - Small Faces along with The Action were the genuine article.
Kenneth Jones the VERY VERY drum maker
Brilliant band, brilliant album. I have a mint copy signed by Mac.
The new 55th Anniversary stereo mix of Ogdens' will be premiering on 24 May.

They should have been the successors of the Beatles

The TV broadcast was live with a prerecorded backing track.
Someone knows if it's a live performance or a playback one ? Or half playback/half live ?
Instruments were pre-recorded with live vocals. Look for the laughter when they didn't get it right.
@@RobinFyfe thank you
What type of piano is that?
There are several keyboards. What do you mean?
@@RobinFyfe the top one is a mellotron.
There's your answer

! "live video" not "live"
;)
Vocals were live, if you watch it you will see the mistakes, and the instruments were prerecorded. It was a live TV show.
@@RobinFyfe ! Love It; better audio than the "single"
Vid -- notice Ronnie cracking-up early
I really could never see the point of Stanley Unwin
