I appreciate your positive perspective on older camera equipment. Many other videos talk about the limited video specs or the lack of one thing or another, when the 6D is what is was designed to be. A full frame professional camera! I own and still use it when I need a low light solution of desire the functionality it offers with my L series lenses. Your art is awesome.

Your photography is awesome my Brother, and those models, ooooeeeee! The 6D is a special camera. It is full frame, lightweight, easy to switch between settings, produces great colours, and the battery lasts for ever… and that's why I prefer to use it for Street Photography, rather than any of my other cameras. I have 5Dmk2, too clunky. 7D classic, weighs a ton and is crop frame. Mirrorless M50, poor battery life. 70D, only one custom setting, and is crop frame… I also sometimes shoot street with a 6Dmk2, but the 6D produces better images than the mk2 which I really just bought for video. I also choose to use the 6Dmk2 when it's raining, as it is better weather sealed. Other than that, it's 6D mk1 all the way…
I've never understood why manufacturers do this. One step forward, three steps back. Instead of taking what works & just adding or improving, they chase specs & undo what worked in a previous model. Nikon also does this.
The only thing I dislike is that there is basically only one usable focus point. Otherwise it’s still a killer camera

I owned my 6D for 6 years, then sold it to go to the Sony Eco-system. However, I kept many of my EF lenses. Now I am looking to buy a 6D used for time lapse. I miss the camera, though I have gotten addicted to the vastly superior AF in my A7R3.
The 6D is still great. I was actually sad the 6D MK II wasn't exactly a befitting upgrade.
Amazing work. The 6D serves you well.
I got a 6D recently and love using it, with a 17-49 f4 on it it feels lighter than my 7D crop sensor, I'll keep the 7D because it's a quality image making tool. But think I'll be using the 6D mostly now.

Despite what you've heard, putting your electronic gadgets in a container of uncooked rice won't dry out your it, and might actually do even harm than good. Dust, starch and small grains of rice can get lodged in the mechanisms of your device. Instead, use silica gel packets.

It feels like I bought it yesterday, even if it now is nine years ago. I use it with Magic Lantern and will miss that feature when I buy a new camera.
What does ML add to the 6D?
Ml is pure magic
I have not used any of them but I have liked the photos coming out of 6d mark 1 than those taken with 6d mark 2. Though the later version has more megapixels and more apparent sharpness, the pictures look flat, especially in portraiture the tonality is missing. Read that 6d ii shares the same sensor as canon RP mirrorless. The mirrorless cameras coming under my budget suffers from the same problem. What is your view on this ?

I am sorry but you cannot have that with the EOS 6D sir. However, you can create a custom Picture style with contrast, color balance, sharpness, saturation etc all the way to 0. This will give you something but not exactly close to a real flat profile.

Of course you can. Even a 600D will do. It is the photographer's skill that matters.
Hopefully there are some 6d's left when my 5d mk1 dies. I really want to buy one.
Canon has discontinued the 6D, you will have to get it from an owner. It will be nice to try the 5D mark 1. I have read about it.

The 1st Version of Canon EF 24-70mm f2.8 is still amazing and many photographers "go-to" lenses
