It's interesting to see the seeds of what became 'Inside' in the second half of this interview. Even the line 'everything all of the time'.

It’s definitely interesting. I listened to a podcast he did about 5 years ago where he talked about fame and performing and he said a couple times how “all eyes are on me” and I was like, ooooh. Ding ding.

i’m so refreshed to see an interview that isn’t rushed and squished, and allows Bo to take his time as he processes the questions and answers.

Loved this! I imagine Bo is quite hard to interview, but they did such a good job letting him talk and flesh out ideas while also keeping him on track 🙌

The saddest part about watching this interview is how passionate he is about making anxiety aware and how social media is putting this stage anxiety in everyone, but he is still just as anxious as ever. Shaking his legs, wanting to bite his nails, touching his face and having a very hard time keeping eye contact. Let's stop trying to find the answers from him and let him find the answers he needs to find himself. He's talented beyond belief, but at what cost is his talent worth to us to let him keep suffering the way he is and has been for so long.

I am late to replying to this but I completely agree. I really think that Bo should take a break for his own sanity. He's done too much for us, anyway. Heck, if he does, we'll still be here to support him!

The way Bo tries to shine light on other peoples talent when he is complimented on his many undeniable talents really shows his humility in trying not to get a big head or ego over things he doesn't consider as talented as others. He's very others-centered. He's more passionate about other peoples' passions more than his own. I've noticed this in many of his interviews.

Bo has honestly gone through so much growth that it is incredible. He's achieved so much and he still has so much more to come! I'm excited for the day I learn how to write and can reach out to him and try and work on a movie with him! He has the mind of a genius for talent and comedy. A true role-model in all aspects. #Respect

I admire this young man - although it’s not true that only 8th graders get his humour or anxiety. By saying it over and over, it diminishes the emotional connection people much older than him have with his material, even the ones he wrote in his teens.

I don't think it's wrong for someone to do a bunch of different things if your talented in those areas

    • @BertoBeats

Yeah I think he's struck the right balance now, he's doing what he truly feels passionate about, and passion in creative folks tends to coincide nicely with talent. He hasn't stopped doing a variety of things, but he gives each of those things the right about of care and attention. But he seems to believe when he was younger he wanted to do literally *everything* creative, whether he was good at it or not because he thought of himself as a prodigy. And maybe he is a prodigy, I kind of happen to think he is, but thinking of yourself in that way is a pretty toxic form of confidence that can see you stretching yourself too thin or creating existential crises when you inevitably fail at something.

It sounds almost like he was already a little primed for how 2020 was gonna turn out with how stressed and unhappy and down on himself he seems to be here. Not to the same extent obviously, but it feels like the seeds are there. Also, considering how often he's referenced it, I really hope he doesn't actually have a gun in his house or otherwise easy access to one.
