I've got a Ditch Witch trencher with the same carb and you just helped solve my problem.
Try using soy candle wax on your hands. My wife bought one and the melted wax does wonders for cracked hands like ours.

Only if fuel is not getting to the carburetor. I did not change it

Yes it is...if you are replacing then its simple. Follow the video on how to take it out and put it back in
