Chris omg. I try the dish and use my left over bake chicken breast and ooh boy I must say thank you. Jamaican Guyanese here and keep up the good work. Thanks.
Like your style. Happy to have found your channel. My boyfriend is Haitian and only eats seafood. You helping ya girl out with the island flavors. Appreciated. Thank you.
Just finished. Serrano chile peppers work perfectly. Since i didnt have the green seasoning, i used sea salt, fresh ground pepper, garlic powder, old bay w/blacked seasoning, and some crushed red pepper. Turned out extra spicy and delicious. Definitely a must do. Thanks for the recipe. Keep cooking!
Just made this dish for Sunday dinner and it came out great!! Everyone is asking when I'm going to make it again!! Loved it Chris, keep up the great work and bringing us these delicious recipes!!

First and foremost I want to thank you for sharing your recipe and also for showing us all how to making this dish down to the T. I will be subscribing for more on your recipes. Thanks once again and keep up the good job.
Chris: I have to compliment you on this video. You taught me all the tricks of doing a good curry. I always put some extra turmeric for colour. You do not leave anything out in your explanation and demonstration. I have studied cooking for years and you are the winner. I will start checking out your video for my W.I. cooking. After living abroad for many years, one gets very rusty. Thanks again.
I just recently learned about cooking the curry powder down from my Trini friend before preparing the rest of the dish as you did in this video... I kind of think of it as preparing a roux or a gravy by cooking/browning the flour first before adding the liquid. This makes a very flavorful curry.... Love your channel.
my friend is from Guyana and he keeps going on about this dish; but you know WHAT? I'm going to make it myself and surprise him; and being Native I love trying different foods from around the world.. this is a great 'detailed' video which I'm going to try :) Happy Cooking! :)
Great recipe!! Made a few modifications to it bc I didnt have all the recipes, but your tutorial really help me with the concept of the whole meal. You rock!!
probably going to be tonight's dinner...thanks for the recipes. I recently moved away for college and I miss my parents food terribly, they are Grenadian and both cook so well. I try your recipes all the time and they all come out great...except for pholourie lol I suck at making it.
Hi Chris love shrimp so that looks great i will try this soon. My favourite meat for grilling is Ribs/chicken love to win that book. Keep the recipes comming. Thanks Gloria
There is another vein in the belly of the shrimp. My Trinidadian, from Diego Martin, wife insists that we clean that out too! Thanks for the recipe, I'm surprising her with this dish when see gets home from work.
Hi Chris, glad to hear that you are feeling better. Thank you for this curried shrimp recipe my friend who is here on holidays from the UK will be visiting me on Sunday and I will be preparing this for lunch. As we are now in the mango season, I would love to make her a mango dessert, can you suggest something nice? I would really appreciate that. Keep well, love from St Lucia
I'm not exactly sure, but from using both.. I don't see any significance difference. I know in some of the groceries I shop at they're referred to as yellow flesh and Yukon gold
I loved the video!! The only thing i would say is when you adjusted the heat on your stove ....i didn't know how high i should turn it up to... I'm a beginner so if you could give just alittle more detail that would be helpful in the next videos. Thank you
