I dont mean to be so off topic but does someone know of a trick to log back into an instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
@Landyn Mauricio i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Chris I've seen dozens of curry shrimp with potatoes videos and really liked yours the best because you simplied everything and it came out on top. I give this recipe ***** stars. Thanks I will be trying this recipe tomorrow. Keep truckin with your caribbean dishes.
I made the green seasoning and the shrimp curry, it was amazing!!! I used BlueMountain curry and Madras curry. I also added carrots, fresh thyme and ginger. It was so good, I have to make it again, my roommate (a guy) went crazy over it and he wants more, thank you.
Wow Chris this was cooked exactly how I learnt it from my mother and grandmother and how I do it. .Crush the potato a bit to add thickness to the gravy. My taste buds are jumping..Thanks a bunch.
Chris - this is the second video I have watched in which you have said you’ve grown your own peppers (Wiri Wiri and Pimento). Would these peppers grown in West Coast, USA, climate? If so, do you have suggestions as to how we can get seeds to do the same, including red scotch bonnets?
Chris, do you use Chief brand curry? I find it so tasty in comparison to most other curry powders. I brought back about a dozen packets this year while on holiday in Barbados.
Finally, a good video. I saw people cooking shrimp, then adding potatoes and cooking it for 8 mins. That is why, when I buy a roti, the shrimp always overcooked and rubbery 😢
Love your video! Question, every time I make curry it always has a bitter taste to it? I don’t put a lot of curry and is there any need to add tomato paste?
Could have sworn you posted this recipe using anchar masala & madras curry. Because I was so inspired by ur vid & recipe that I drove into Bklyn just to find the Chief label spices (& a case of cold Caribs lol) just to get the recipe right !
It's a blended seasoning base. We call it epis in Haiti. You can put onion, garlic, green pepper, scallion, fresh thyme, parsley etc. Top it with some oil and stick it in the back of the fridge. Great base for marinating meats and even rice.
Green sauce/seasoning is a Carribean paste made of their favourite local herbs. See Chris' video giving you tips on making green seasoning here - ua-cam.com/video/iE_PdL50TWo/v-deo.html

Hi What brand madras curry? I just made this dish tonight I used Chief curry powder but my dish didn't taste authentic. It tasted like the wrong curry powder. I don't know what other brand curry to get. This dish took me 3hrs to make. I don't know if I have the mental strength to make this again. It took all my strength chopping so many things up. I will go back to living my life eating Mac and cheese. 🤦♀️
Chris you have a grown man drooling in Trinidad. That geera in the beginning was a nice touch. And non shall be spared that shrimp that fell is back in the pot he goes 😂👍🏼👊🏼🇹🇹
The narrative complements the cooking. Right on , Irie .
I'm not from Trinidad, but I think Trini people might be the best cooks..... yes, I said it 😏

Could you add a sprig of thyme to this recipe?
Good question. I do that myself. Fresh thyme right out the supermarket works the best.
Mmm looks really nice. I'm having that for my dinner on Saturday
Katie, I guarantee you, you'll enjoy it tremendously
I enjoyed it very much
