Exodus begins by explaining how Israel was fruitful and multiplied over the next couple generations to the point where they filled the land. A pharaoh who didn’t know Joseph was intimidated by this and made slaves out of them. The more he oppressed them, the more they multiplied and grew stronger. So, pharaoh instructed the Egyptian midwives to start killing the male Hebrew babies, but they didn’t because they feared God. Pharaoh then instructed all Egyptians to murder every male baby by throwing them into the river. We hope you enjoy!
