Start with Origins, 1&2 can be frustrating because it plays different from the rest of the series.

The Ys series is great, all of the ones on Steam are bangers, I second the other guy when I say Origin is a great starting point, but so is Oath in Felghana or Ys SEVEN or Memories of Celceta or 8.

Visuals are sick, but the soundtrack still can't touch the TurboGrafx CD version, which I still own 😎👍

Honestly I like the other PC/PSP remake's OST the most. Oath in Felghana has an awesome OST and the only reason it hasn't been spotlighted here yet is because some bosses are actually close to impossible to do hitless.

About as many as the first two, so like, 10, half of which are the 3D remake based off Ys 6's engine, which is generally considered better than the 2D versions.

Visuals are awesome but the boss theme dont hold a candle to the ark of naphistm boss theme

The game looks cool but the bosses look very repetitive with almost all only having two attacks at most.
