I had a blast 100% this game. Also interesting fact, you have to beat certain bosses without taking damage to get the 100% ending. Good news is, you can replay all the levels as much as you want to do it.
Absolutely loved this game as a kid. Loved how interactive everything was, and the challenge of 100% was tough but in a fun way. Thanks for the nostalgia!
Square Enix and Treasure have absolute Beef with each other, with Treasure being the devs and Enix being the original publishers, so unless they find common ground they can’t re-release this game.

When negotiations failed, Enix at the time canceled any relations with Treasure as their publisher. So it left both Mischief Makers and Showtime in Limbo since Treasure, the Developer of Mischief makers, cannot adapt the game to modern hardware, and Enix cannot release the game since Treasure owns part of the rights to the game.
Noice. Bosses were definitely one of the highlights of this game. Lots of fun ideas and epic moments. Machine guns and missiles and catching lasers to shoot them back on a running cat? Hell yeah!
Such a fun and charming game...it's a shame it's so short. It does have some nice variety and it's fun getting all the gold crystals. I wish they made more stages where you play as Teran, you barely get to use him, and his punches and uppercut are fun to use! 😊 The clancers make such cute noises, yet it's usually the most efficient to throw them as weapons. 😂 Like the worm for instance goes down in seconds if you keep throwing the girl at it.
Short and super sweet games were Treasure's bread and butter. Most all their games are like this. Gunstar Heroes, Guardian Heroes, Radiant Silvergun, Ikaruga, the list goes on.
Technically that's the first boss, the two before are actually Minibosses! The only maid bosses are Migens (and son, who is the big dude btw) Lunar, Cerberus-α, Tarus, Sasquatch-β, Merco, Phoenix-γ and The Beastector
Had this game when I was younger and never beat it, never knew how many attacks could be grabbed or reflected. Makes me want to go back and give it another try, especially when it turns out my younger self didn't even make it half way.

Man im suffering with cerberus alpha, specially the two last parts. Not only because my hearts pumps quicker because of the excitement of almost beating lunar, but because you don't know how Lunar is gonna react. Either way I love Mischief Makers, it really brings a challenge to anyone who plays it.
seeing cerberus in a constant dive slide dash, grinding through the rocky ground on his hands and doing gymnastics. unperturbed and unscathed with no damage taken all the while is only mildly intimidating ! clearly he means business to destroy marina and zero f***s are given 😨
WAY too many missed opportunities to get hits in on the bosses (he didn't even do the part where you can make Sasquatch Beta blast itself with it's own cannon shot), and watching him NOT go for the gold gems (even when they are RIGHT THERE) makes me weep inside.

Absolutely loved the art style, it just screams "made in 90's" , where everything is 60% Scifi + 20% Fantasy + 10% Waifu + 10% weird.
I rented that as a kid in 97, 98 I guess? Such a blast from the past.
