Sadly, this is pretty much the state of resto ethics these days. But look at it another way, they did rescue the car and made it at least safe and driveable. This puts it back on the market and anyone with half a brain will have their own inspection done. The well done cars attract higher end buyers while cars like this show does will seldom break 30k. It's the world as it is and the market always sorts itself.
These buffoons are HACKS. I would NEVER buy ANY car that they worked on! NEVER!!!!!!!!!!
I personally love seeing classics come back to life, tho small time frames are insulting.

LOVED my orange 911 but it was much older - back when they were considered exotic cars.
Love the core of your videos, but the constant arguing is obviously pre-arranged and you didn’t wear your seatbelts when in the borrowed Porsche. Like watching. Cheers.

How long did this restoration actually take? Because I could see some significant swirling in the orange paint.

Thats a real Porsche to me. Back in the day, we had Farrah Fawcett posters, Lambo Countach, and the Porsche 911 hanging on the walls. New ones are nice but too techno weenie.😎
Using a grinder to take paint off I wouldn't let you paint my lawn mower.

Distributor(dizzy) does exactly half engine speed. I he says the dizzy is doing 8000 rpm, that means that ur engine revs to 16 000 rpm.(not possible)....😅 A bit of a fail if i may say!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🤣

About $10K for that car? I bought my 1983 clean, great running for $17K. But that was in 2015, right before values skyrocketed to 3X what they were.
They should have resprayed the 911 to its original colour silver/grey. Originality has higher resale value.

Not exactly done to singer standards but you can’t polish a Turd. I suppose you can roll it glitter. I wouldn’t let the mugs service my pogo stick. How they ever got a living in the motor trade is beyond me. And the way they keep throwing there toys out the pram. It’s just for the cameras though. Also they would not get a profit if they had to pay wages.

Don't get how they came up with it possibly being a cut and shut by looking at a weld under one side of the screen? Very bizarre and total and utter bollocks!
Shame! The car could have been a real head turner. For two guys who claim to be experts they missed the mark on this one and I would confidently bet they lost at least 10% on the valuation by having the wrong wheels and not staying with a Porsche correct colour. Guards red and fuchs wheels are pure classic 911! As for the flaking paint on the doors..... I get the impression they're true expertise showed through there, I felt embarrassed for them!
But Bernie, please, cleaning the distributor terminals on an engine like that??? Surely a master mechanic would do a full service, or at least just put a new cap on...... Did you even take the plugs out? Nevermind new plugs and leads 😂

In some places its illegal and can't pass a road safety test as its deemed it won't be as safe.
If a cut and shut isn’t repaired to a high standard ie. original weld joints. It can be dangerous ie running over a RIZLA could fold it in half
