    Great review! I got my Denon AVR-X4500H a few weeks ago and I am loving it! I pair it with Klipsch RP-8000F for stereo music! This is my beginning setup as I am planning to grow it later on!
    I am not disappointed so far!! Although, when I watch a movie and want to go crazy in volume, like you said, I dont hear a muddy sound, but I might notice a little bit of distortion in dialogues , which makes me feel like I need an external amplifier? It was only two floorstanding speakers though, Imagine if I had 9.2 system!! The heat it makes kind of worries me. I've never heard the fans you speak of, but, since I am new to all this, it just makes me worry.

    Good review. Just ordered one of these for my home theatre replacing an older Marantz. I have a Meridian 559 power amp for the front two channels (Martin Logan electrostatics) so this will only power center, sides, and rears. I find having a separate 2 channel power amp, just for your main speakers, lets you change your receiver more cost effectively as technology advances. It takes a big power load off of the receiver so you can buy a lower end model. You can also then have an audiophile power amp just for music. Best of both worlds.

    Without a doubt, the 4500H! During boxing day, the HiFi store gave me the 6500 and 4500, right to the point, if you want pay extra $1000. For extra 2 powered channels, and what little extra power that I personally didn't notice, but the big one it's made in Japan. I went with the 4500H it's not worth $1K for made in Japan. Great video 🇨🇦

    Brilliant video I use the onkyo TX nr609 it is from 9 years ago but still sounds epic it has not got the Dolby Atmos chip but it does have the front high speakers and the back hi-fi speakers for the normal 7.2 configuration the only problem with these amplifiers is they do seem a little underpowered that having said since I brought the Onkyo TX nr609 from nearly 10 years ago it had the set-up like it was the Odyssey the same setup my that Denham Now use and it is very very good for music I have you no subwoofers at all for 10-years because of that function I hit the dynamic EQ I hit the dynamic volume and it's equalizers everything and makes my windows rumble but adding separate amplifiers even if you have preamplifier out starts to get a little complicated if you start doing that you may as well pay the extra money and go to the cinema and have a normal two channel setup on top of all of this you have your aging process it's all depends on how good your ears and eyes are brilliant video though mate keep them coming

    I really want to buy this receiver becouse now i got the Pioneer sc-lx85. Its a really powerfull amp, but i lacks in todays feautures. The only 2 reasons that hold me back to buy the denon is: Its a lot less powerfull then my current Pioneer receiver.

    Finally a great video on this receiver! So I had two different experience with this receiver. First my equipment an AVR X4500H receiver Klipsch RP-8000F front , 504C center (2) 502S surround, (2) 502s rear (2) 500sa front height (1) SPL150 Sub an LG HU85LA short throw laser projector and a short throw light canceling 120" screen .an XBox One a Furman power conditioner and a whole bunch of AC Infinity coolers that I put into the flush mount projector AV cabinet I built. When I received the receiver after about an hour was thinking whats all the fuss about this thing is over complex and horrible. After a few days I was I was cursing and saying this thing is the worst receiver I ever purchased and either its defective or truly the worst. Things I experiences, had to do a complete system reset. Pink lines showing up on two different monitors. Though my Laser projector was bad. No speaker icons showing up had to physically pull the plug to reset. No sound, shut off twice on its own, froze up with no control of anything on the receiver had to unplug. And a few other issues. The dealer sent me a new one. Complete different experience, auto screen setup smooth no pink lines, everything super easy to follow and setup. speaker calibration. One click of the FIOS power button now turns on the receiver, projector and it auto selects the TV, Game, and SAT or CATV. I agree the subwoofer control is calibrating to weak. It does produce a lot of heat and I had a feeling so when I built my cabinet I installed two AC Infinity fans with auto climate control on top of the cabinet with huge intake vents and thermocoupler probes a two fan unit on top of the receiver to pull the hot air out of the top of the receiver. along with two fans on the projector part of the cabinet with exhausts and intakes in the front and top of the cabinet. The idea was to pull cool air from the bottom of the components through vents and exhaust out the top and back of the cabinets since the equipment is enclosed. Everything is alarmed at 110 deg and set to kick on at around 101 degrees. I have not been able to find the safe operating temps of this receiver so I just set it based on how long it took to hit 100 degrees from 80 when it is turned on. takes about 25 mins to hit 100 and then the fan runs for about 5 mins taking it down to around 95 and kicks back on after 5 mins back and forth. Never hits above 103 degree F and the fan noise is not much louder than the projector. Willing to live with fan noise over premature equipment failure. Now I love the receiver. But its still early and I have a lot of tweeking and learning to do.

    • @tHAvIlLaMaN
      @tHAvIlLaMaN  4 роки тому

      Freakin awesome setup. Heat would definitely be my biggest complaint with it. It gets hotter than my X4300H for sure. At one point I had my center channel oh my 4300h- it wasn’t the best placement then, but it’s something I could never do with this.
      How are you liking that LG projector? How far is it below your screen?

    • @Mphonik2013
      @Mphonik2013 4 роки тому

      @@tHAvIlLaMaN Look at the AC infinity systems on Amazon. They are reasonably priced and work great. You can be creative with them or you can just get a unit that sits on top of the AVR. I also like the power conditioners I feel they help save from spikes and dirty power which it all is from the power lines. As for the LG I took a chance because I could not see it on display anywhere. But since it is only 7" from the screen it uses 3 lasers and although it has a DLP chip it does not have a wheel. It is super bright even with the lights on and with the anti light reflecting screen looks similar to a QLED especially in 4K. At 6 grand and 2 grand for the screen which I believe dropped in price its not cheap. But when you look at some of the Sony's and some of the rear projectors for over 10 grand that loose 70% of the light through the LCD and atmosphere in my humble opinion I really like the short throw lasers. No shadow from someone getting up, not as difficult to move if you have to, easier to wire. Drawback is the cabinet in front if you don't want one. Otherwise its only been two weeks since complete but so far very happy!

    • @Mphonik2013
      @Mphonik2013 4 роки тому

      I believe its around 13" from the bottom of the screen to the top of the projector. It gives you an adjustment grid. I built a copy of a Salimander cabinet for it . So its flush mount at the top. Of course you cant put anything on top of the cabinet.

    Wanting to buy one of these, but not really going to be using the extra
    stuff on the 4500. The only thing I am worried about is the power to run

    will the 3600 have any problems running those, or should I go for the
    4500? I have a 5.1 system at the moment and plan on adding those stereo
    speakers mostly for music playback, but also for movies too. Will I have

It’s kinda tough to wait for May/June when Yamaha is supposedly releasing their first HDMI 2.1 Dolby Atmos receivers. I feel like I should wait even amidst this crisis. I also read that the X4500H does NOT support ALLM. You said it does. I didn’t think the Denon supported variable refresh rate either. I’m probably going to cross my fingers and wait for Summer 2020 to buy a receiver.

    Very good video. I’m in the market for new av receiver , but unsure between 3600 and 4500. The price difference today is only £100. However 3600 comes with 6 years warranty. What are your thoughts ? Ultimately I’m going to end up with a 5.1.4 system. I’m going for the heartache of ceiling speakers. No matter how many times I’ve watched your excellent video , about it. Keep up your great work thanks John

      That’s a tough call. If you have an amplifier then the 3600H would likely be the better choice. If not then I’d go for the 4500H since you’ll be running so many speakers (that’s all assuming you are ok without eARC on the 3600H)

Question for you, the left and right surrounds (just those 2) do not work when watching regular tv, all other speakers work fine. Here's what really baffles me, they work when playing Netflix, blue ray, Amazon etc, I'm running the hopper from dish network and they even work on dvr and on demand but just not regular tv. Do you think it's the denon internals? Really weird.

    Hi there! If you ever feel the need to branch out on your testing...get the Yamaha RX-A3080, add an Antimode S2 for Subwoofer correction (since Yamaha doesn't really do that) and a little SMSL amp for the Rear Ceiling Speakers since Yamaha only does 5.1.4 out of the box. With Surround:AI to pep up all your movies, even if they already have native Atmos or DTS:X Sound, you might be quite surprised at the results you get.
    Of course, it's a pretty expensive Setup, so I would definitely understand if you don't want to go for it, but to me it was very much worth it to get a more balanced Surround experience than what you get with Denon...

    • @tHAvIlLaMaN
      @tHAvIlLaMaN  4 роки тому +2

      No you don’t really need one. To see how many channels your receiver must have you’ll need to add the total amount of channels in your setup.
      In an Atmos config it’s the 1st (ground level) and 3rd (height) channels. So in a 5.1.4 setup like yours it would be 5+4 channels. So a 9 channel receiver like this could power your setup. And since it can process 2 additional channels (11ch), then you could add an external amplifier if you ever want to use those 2 extra channels for another room or to expand your setup to 7.1.4
      Hope that helps!

    i own the 2600h as my friend and reviewers biged it up. my issues are first i have to keep it on the older firmware as it doesnt work with my xbox one s if i update it when it comes to hdr and 4k.
    even with the latest software, and the oldest, going into settings for audio and selecting options in the ref area sometimes kicks hdr off and i end up haveing to select a different hdmi and back again for it to return hdr.
    lastly and i feel this is a big miss by denon, it doesnt work with my google plasy player as i cant send over by blue tooth my playlists. instead i have to use heos and creat new playlists. why in this day and age cant it just do both. let me cast via blue tooth my music on my android phone by google or any other player with blue tooth suport?
    yes the sou7nd is awsome but its far from the perfect bug free experience and it isnt the exellent everyone says, not till it allws the basic us of bluetooth on a phone and not push heos and sort out the kind of bugs i asumed a 500 pound amp would not have.
    part of me withes i tried the sony one but hey too late now.
    voice operastions with my harmony work great with it and yeh sound is amazing. but it needs to be a smater device
    just a warning all those google play playlists you have get ready to remake them on the dennon amps.
    8/10 is a very fair rating as sound on my 2600h is great but the bugs and heos take at least 2 poiunts off. if i was a music lover id be giing this amp a 6/10, luckly im a movie guy so its a 8.. And heos works well when you realise to add a song to a playlist you have to open playlist tell it to play from phone, then make sure you press play now and replace que. then go to the song you want to add and play now. then save plaYLIST. ITS STUPID ITS ANOYING AND BECAUSE IM STUPID IT TOOK ME A FEW WEEKS TO CLICK ON HOW TO DO IT. WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH BETTER IF I COULD HAVE JUST PAIRED MY PHONE to the denon amp and played my playlists or songs directly but dennon doesnt let you do that because oftheir badly made heos app. i know theres alot of denon fans out there and yes i never heard a bad review but be warned if like you you want songs from your phone to go directly to the denon amplifiers it wont . At their prices it should.
    im saying this for al;l new buyers to be aware as no one else is saying this stuff and truthfully if all people do is tell you the positives denon whos 2600h i like alot is not gona impliment the missing basic features that in 2020 really shouldnt hell 2017 they really shouldnt be missing. its like buying a new sports car with no bluetooth or usb port.

      Future proofing -- so your receiver won't go out of style for a long time, and still be compatible with 8K if you keep it that long. You'll still have to upgrade the rest of your system though.

    Hi Tha_VillaMan and everyone else. I've got a question I'm hoping it's not too late to have answered about this Denon x4500H unit. The setup I'm looking to use with it is Almost all Klipsch. I have two 82 Towers, 62 Center, 52 rear standing, and 2 height sonance speakers for atmos. I know the X4500 will power the 7 speakers, but I also have two Klipsch 112SW' that I want to use with it. The subs are self powered, but I'm seeing a lot of info online that I would need a second amp for what would end up being a 5.2.2 setup and I don't understand that given the 9.2 rating on this receiver. Can anyone help by providing correct info on the setup? Thanks in advance. (FYI, I'm new to this, was using a sound bar previously. Acquired the speakers and subs before buying a receiver...forgive the ignorance please.)

      Hey! The receiver will be able to run everything up to a 5.2.4 setup by itself without an external amp. You don’t need an amp because of the Klipsch (or any other) powered subwoofers either. Hope that helps!
