"that was murder!" Have to side with the doctor on this one, the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one. two officials being killed on that ship does not justify murdering a ship full of sycorax at all. "they were leaving" you dont send out a probe with A positive blood in it only for a bunch of alians to find and abuse to control one third of earths population, have the doctor help you defend the planet and then murder an entire ship full of them after they agreed to leave! Harriot Jones, you crossed a line and you needed to own up to that and learn from its consequenses.
I do have to disagree with you on your comments about Harriet Jones in the Christmas Invasion. The villain had been defeated, they were retreating and she ordered they were slaughtered by being shot in the back. In that moment she was just another villain that kills because they can.
Also, wasn't the Golden Age that she was supposed to usher in already over. I always took that moment as Harriet had gotten a little to bold and aggressive, so the Doctor had to knock her down a peg.

Genocide doesn't mean an entire species. It just means a large number of a certain race or species. There were Thousands of Sykorax on that ship. That would count as a Genocide.

I think the christmas specials are a uniquely british taste: they clearly take a lot from the concept of ‘the pantomime’ which has a close association with christmas over here, so the over-acting and cheesiness of the RTD specials are 100% in keeping with that, a reading i assume is lost without the concept of pantomimes across the pond(?)
I think the tonal switching in New Earth works best when Cassandra is forced to take the body of one of the diseased and she realizes how horrible it is for them. The fact that this character who had mostly been played for laughs and was a terrible person could actually be effected by emotion really made me feel more for the diseased people and Cassandra herself when she died.
Boom Town is a psychological piece. She was going to destroy Earth to get back to civilization, that was the plot, it was meant to be a look at what separates the Doctor from the villains, if he doesn't care about the consequences of his actions. The point of the body swapping in New Earth is to get a stationary villain into the action. Obviously. And do you really need to shout everything you say?
I always have a very soft spot in my heart for Boom Town. When I was little the Slitheen in the Aliens in London two-parter genuinely gave me a week of nightmares between the two episodes and I liked seeing some more resolution from that. And all the characters going out for a meal together in Cardiff and having a laugh felt so genuinely like a group of friends and just gives me this comforting sense about it. I feel like if nothing else, Boom Town sold me on if they decided to do a bottle episode which was nothing more than some of the characters we had come to enjoy at the time just hanging out for an episode, I’d still really thoroughly enjoy it too
I like love and monsters because it's interesting to see a group of normal people in the doctor who Universe who don't constantly fight monsters I want to see a show about LINDA
Dona should come back - if they can bs us with Clara and Bille they can also fix her story, giving her good ending. She is the only companion from new Doctor Who, who deserves it. It would be an amazing story for the next anniversary finale - we don't need explosions and saving whole world again. We need Doctor to look back and fix everything he has done badly. From Susan to Donna (visiting Ponds would be a nice touch also; stealing some regenerations for River, so she could be another recurring regenerating character like Master; returning for Ragdoll and Jenny - in this show everything goes, and after next few decades coming back to old characters would be an awesome idea).
Love and Monsters is my worst episode of new who as a whole. To me, its boring, fairly cringey with some scenes, and it felt like an insult to the fans instead of a commentary on them.
Ben Mercer second worst, I’m still putting Sleep no more as the worst episode of new who “you will be scared of the dust in your eye”... that’s just too stupid to function.
Love and monsters was a great idea but the execution was bad. I love how the group is searching for the doctor, it shows a simple human side to doctor who, it could happen in real life. But the abzorbaloff was the only problem.
For some reason, Boomtown is an episode you don't remember very much, but once you re-watch it you see it's actually good, we've got captain jack, we've got a difference villain dynamic, we've got some great mickey moments. And it really fits well in the series.. and yet not very remarkable
I’ve gotta say that the Christmas invasion is probably my second least favourite RTD episode. It’s boring as hell, the fact that the doctor does nothing until the end, the fact that it’s more interested in showing Rose looking at the doctor all the time instead of you know ACTUALLY trying to stop the Sycorax and the fact that the Sycorax goes to waste. They’re good monsters but they do nothing. They just stand there. Only the leader does something. I do agree with the fact that it gets good with the Doctor fighting the leader but that in like the last fifteen minutes. My god a complete disaster of an episode
I thought Partners In Crime was excruciatingly tedious and silly, so that one would defo be on my top ten. Overall I think Davies gets a little too much credit, he has his good episodes (midnight, waters of Mars, etc.) and he makes good story arcs, but as an individual episode writer, I'd say Moffat actually takes the cake.
WAAAAY TOO oh loooook they almost meet buuuuut they don't. Also Donna reallllly wants to be with the Dr. even though she didn't when we first met her, why because plot demands it.
Nope. Nope. Nope. Not gridlock. Please no. That's honestly one of my favourite episodes. Edit: Oh Christmas invasion is hands down the best Christmas special. But that isn't saying much. I agree with what you said there dispite loving the episode. Edit: (I'm writing this as I'm watching it) tooth and claw is another favourite of mine, a lot of nostalgia is probably influencing that though. Edit: spot on with boom town Edit: aliens of London should have been higher it's a really good episode. Edit: I'm good with what you said about the long game Edit: series two is my favourite so it's hard for me to criticise any episode from it. Edit: Final edit, I love love and monsters. Fight me.
I personally really like tooth and claw but I can see why it would be bad. The monks are goofy and a lot of the actions/characters are dumb. Although the werewolf looks dumb, it's the best I've seen. The others I've seen are the hairless crap in Harry Potter, the men with hair glued on them from the wolfman or the just wolves in stuff like Twilight.
Another Communist Fruitcake I actually enjoyed both the Doctor Who werewolfs and the Harry Potter werewolfs I was scared by both as a kid sort of stupid but tons of the monsters in Doctor Who scared me at the time.
OH BOY! As a werewolf movie fan, I can give you good werewolf recommendations. Want a werewolf design to blow your mind: Bad Moon. The movie is great but the werewolves are amazing even to today. It was made, 1996ish? And proof that practical effects age better.
I feel like Christmas specials are supposed to be goofy, though. If it was all serious and normal then it wouldn't really feel like Christmas. It's just generally supposed to be "have fun and don't think to much about it and just enjoy it for what it is." Then again, this is a ranking so your somewhat forced to think too much about it. Nonetheless, good video, keep up the good work.
Apart from the stupid monster (which you can't blame) and the shitty ending I enjoy Love and Monsters and will still rewatch it along with all the other episodes except for Fear Her. Seriously how was Fear Her not on here
Gabriel Curle I didn't even mind the monster that much. That fucking ending though. And now it's even worse knowing that the episode was written around a kids fucking concept! Imagine that kid watching with his parents and it gets to the end and that's what they leave you with! I know the term gets thrown around a lot but that 30 seconds of Doctor Who was a complete disgrace.
It's very, very rare that I have the sort of knee-jerk reactions to lists that most people joke about when they say "People will dislike this". But as soon as you said Gridlock, I was full on "LOLWAT" - one of my favorite episodes, hands down. Opinions vary I guess.
It also really hurt me to see Gridlock on this as it's one of my fave and I understand about the cat nurses but I found them quite charming but I'm a cat person
I disagree with everything except New Earth, Christmas Invasion, and, maybe, Voyage. Gridlock and AOL/WW3 are, in particular, some of my absolute faves. But I still like hearing your views.
I think I like new earth, I like the plot, I like Cassandra's return, I always like returns- whatever it is, I like the cat nurses, it's overall enjoyable, it somehow works for me
I like gridlock, but overall, I very much agree with a lot of what u said. THANK YOU so much for acknowledging how terrible the doctor was to harriet jones. personally, I saw the dilemma she was in and she was doing the best she could. also, in doing that, he removed Britain's primary defender, and who rose in her place... oh yeah, the MASTER! Ten actually created the larger problem later in quite a few ways. also, the doctor has done worse. u could easily successfully argue that 10 did in runaway bride. I was the opposite of u with that one. I didn't like how 10 killed all the racknoss childen just bc the empress was evil. i'm arachnophobic, but those were still kids who didn't commit horrors at that point. only the empress did. u don't kill millions bc of the actions of one. but I admit that disdain for that moment is probably bc the same people who justify that moment r the same people who hate 11 for tricking the silence into ordering their execution in day on the moon. they hate 11 for teaching the human race how to defend themselves against an alien race that has continued to manipulate/hurt or kill them and who are all adults, but its ok for 10 to kill racknoss kids? sheesh, the double standard! but there are elements of runaway bride that I liked, like a quite a few on here. but overall, I totally agree with u. good video.
But I know it's not by Russel T Davies which The Shakespeare Code was actually written by Gareth Roberts so in my opinion if my worst one for Russell's episodes has to be (not love and monsters because I actually like that episode since I was 6 when I first saw it and I still love it to this day) tooth and claw because I never thought it would be engaging but the only think I could appreciate from it was the sad ending with the werewolf dying in peace along with sad music in the background and the next time sequence after new earth stopped which is another episode I really like too
Thinking about it, your whole thing about the Cat People and the Hath and just sticking Animals on human bodies to make aliens really brings a new perspective to the scene with the Pig 'Alien' in 'Aliens of London'.
Personally, I love the Slitheen Episodes. The first pair are maybe a bit goofy, but the farting is, in my opinion, bearable, and serves to make the villains less likeable rather than taking down the quality of the episode itself. The slow unzipping, I assume, is just something that comes with the skin suits. It takes a while to get in or out of them. That's important for the ending. Boom Town, as well, while being a fairly forgettable episode in terms of alien plans, is fairly important on an emotional level, in my opinion. Mickey and Rose talk for a while, and more or less break up in this episode. Of course, he comes running a couple episodes later, but that gets addressed. It connects to episode 3 via the rift, of course back to the previous Slitheen episodes, and forward to the next pair with the Heart of the Tardis, and the Extrapolator. And the dynamic between Margaret/Blon and the Doctor is just so entertaining. While it's probably the least memorable episode of the series, it's good fun. And I kind of like the Long Game, but I won't argue that one with you, because I see your points. Also, I feel like Elton is compelling enough for a short episode, though I'll maybe agree with you that the others aren't. And there was no build up to tell us he liked Ursula before he told us.
Same with me! Maybe it’s because I grew up with them, but despite knowing how ridiculous they are as an alien, they always held a place in my doctor who loving heart 😂
13:30 The doors closed because the Doctor used his sonic screwdriver on the buttons. Because of that, I’m not sure if even a hand would’ve obstructed their closing process.
The third act of Love and Monsters really hurts to think about, because I loved everything before that. I guess it's like the Series 9 finale trilogy, if that's a fair comparison
This is my top 10 least favourite of his era, not just the ones he’s written: - The Long Game - New Earth - Fear Her - Love and Monsters - The Lazarus Experiment - 42 - Daleks In Manhattan / Evolution of the Daleks - The Next Doctor - Planet of the Dead
I used to love it. Sometime after abandoning the series when Matt Smith arrived. I didn’t know about regeneration and just knowing David Tennant left and seeing his scary brick shitting performance in Jessica Jones had me revisit the series, and that was the first episode I saw and had tears of nostalgia during the end credits song.
In regards to the cat people Russell T Davies has clearly no imagination when it comes to doctor who monsters basically the Russell T Davies recipe for a monster is step 1, open a book of animals on a random page, step 2 make a note of the first animal you see (pig, cat, rhinoceros, squid, fish, fly etc) step 3, put the animals head on top of paul kasey and bon appetit the lazy man's guide to monster making
6:15 I always hated the Harriet Jones thing, it feels like so far a departure from "Face of Evil" when The Doctor lays out his philosophy after he dealt with the threat, and the residents are arguing about choosing a new leader, and Baker's adorably blase delivery of "Ah, but that's not my problem." And that's generally his opinion, even Troughton was so squeamish about regime change. I think because this dovetails with Ten's habit of opposing people not for being evil or dangerous, but simply for opposing his personal morality, which is arguably his second-worst character trait.
I liked how in love and monsters had the vlogging style and the perspective but the story and the villain and the end and stuff like that were horrible and I hated them
I saw New Earth and it was actually pretty good. Favorite part was the Doctor being very excited that he cured all those artificial humans of the diseases, I just get a big smile and laugh along with David Tennant. It's such a triumphant moment.
One of the things I love about you is that you are fair to the actors and always mention when you think the actor was better than the makeup and prosthetics. A lot of people forget that it's difficult to act under a mask and loads of makeup!
I loved aliens of London and world war 3 as a little kid, If you sat me in front of Netflix with aliens of London, world war 3 or tooth and claw and I was satisfied.
I thought the elevator was a problem, but he actually soniced it closed. His hands were free when it opened though (I think), but sometimes you "lag" when something out of left field happens.
Love & Monsters was down right awful (still better than its following episode Fear Her), but still awful. As for Gridlock, not terrible but not my favorite either. Same with The Long Game and Boom Town, however, I liked The Lond Game more than Boom Town and Gridlock. I'd say between the 3, I disliked Boom Town the most. Agree with you on the villain of Voyage of the Damned, but other than the villain, I loved it. As for the Hosts, I really liked them. I did not find them cheesy, but I did find them to be a bit of a copy-cat of the robots from The Robots of Death. Other than Gridlock, Love & Monsters, The Long Game, and Boom Town, I loved all the other episodes you listed. And I think The End of Time would be on my list for the top 10 worst Russell T. Davis episodes.
Gridlock is one of my fave episodes but like I CANT EXPLAIN WHY BC ITS REALLY NOT VERY GOOD BUT FOR SOME REASON ITS ONE OF MY COMFORT EPISODES I THINK ITS BC OF THE FUN CAT GUY AND THE OLD LESBIAN COUPLE I LOVE THEM
I wouldn't have put Love and Mosters so high on the list, except for that god awful ending with the image of Elton shagging a paving slab with a face left in my head. Too often Doctor Who seems afraid to do sad and we have this awful hollywood type stick on a happyish ending.
Just like every era* of Doctor Who, it always has some stinkers. RTD didn't write the best stuff of his era (other than maybe Midnight?), but he did write some of the dodgy ones- kind of his job to fill in the gaps to make up a season, though. *- Apart from the legendary series 13 and 14, of course.
@@f-zilla7347 Good grief, no! the original 13 and 14. ... Although RTD seasons 3 and 4 are his best in my book, they are still unconsistent, just not as inconsistent as his first two. The only time the show was that good was with Hinchcliffe!
@@MrLtia1234 Ahhh I apologize good chap, I must of misinterpreted what you were saying. I must agree however, Tom Baker’s second and third seasons are absolutely amazing and peak Doctor Who, that’s why he’s the best Doctor!
I would have put Last of the Timelords in there. It's really stupid. The Master turns the Doctor in Dobbie, and through some magic words spread by Martha, he is returned to normal???
Paul Charles Morris The satellites were used to cancel out the master's perception filter and use it to give power to the doctor. Still doesnt make as much sense however it wasnt magic or prayer.
Haha, I always loved the "Don't stand me against the lift" bit purely because it's cheeky smiley Eccleston at his best. I used to say The Long Game would have been better without the Jagrafess. Now I'd say the Jagrafess is fine (could do with a better design though) but there is definitely a case of incorrect assigned roles going on. It would be perfect with the Editor as the main villain, since a man in a suit brainwashing the Earth works better than a limbless mouth slug doing it. But the Jagrafess can be the Editor's enforcer, killing off anyone who stands up to the Editor. This smart and mysterious Editor serving as the underling to a roaring mollusc just doesn't make sense
"I guarantee some peoples favourites are gonna be on this list" me: nah, "so I might just suck it up and accept the fact that im gonna get a lot of people screaming at me in the comments" me: not from me you won't. "Number 10: Gridlock" me: RIGHT OFF THE BAT, GODDAMMIT!
I want a doctor who Christmas special that's very little in the way of monsters and just The Doctor spending time with as many present and mostly former companions as possible.
In defense of the cat people, I believe they're supposed to be a race that evolved on Earth during the millions of years between now and the End of the World, like Jabe's species was in that.
True. It'd like how I get frustrated with Star Trek, especially Next Generation, when it feels like the only way to make an alien is various bumps on the head somewhere.
I like New Earth and Gridlock. We need more of the face of boe, or jack as a young face of boe. I also think the cat people are interesting...also because they remind me if the khajiit (from the tes)
I absolutely agree on Gridlock. I like that episode, mainly because of the premise - generations living and dying in a traffic jam, sustained by the hope for eventually finding an off ramp which doesn't exist. But you're right that it didn't need giant crab monsters or mood drugs, both of which could have been fine episodes on their own but served little purpose in Gridlock.
The Christmas tree attack in The Christmas Invasion is one of the funniest moments in the show. The "I'm gonna get killed by a Christmas tree!" line always cracks me up.
And tooth and claw is also really good imo.
I prefer the Santabots with the flamethrowing tubas, but the killer tree was hilarious as well.
That_One_Nerd_Guy Tooth and Claw was my first DW episode which hooked me to the show.

I honestly don't mean to... I get worked up. I gave up trying to stop myself doing it a while back.
I don't really think that Russell has made any awful episodes maybe not even any bad ones.(This is my opinion)
You should have done a ranking of his stories instead
Yeah, Sleep No More and Love & Monsters are both REALLY terrible. It's hard to say which is worse.
I loved that episode and idk why
I disagree I think it was a fun break episode away from the more serious storylines, it that was slight hearted
Love and monsters was a great idea but the execution was bad. I love how the group is searching for the doctor, it shows a simple human side to doctor who, it could happen in real life. But the abzorbaloff was the only problem.
I sort of like Love and Monsters. The ending almost killed it, though.
Really? Aliens of London and World War III? I really like that episode, but then again as you said, not all of these episodes are horrible.
One of the best stories 👍
Can you do a top 10 Worst Doctor Who Cliffhangers
I could tell you the worst cliffhanger,it was when.................................
ha love the Racnose impression
shla shla shla
15:27 only just realized that the new earth skyline was masked over rhossilli bay which really took me by surprise.
WAAAAY TOO
oh loooook they almost meet buuuuut they don't. Also Donna reallllly wants to be with the Dr. even though she didn't when we first met her, why because plot demands it.
If a Council of Geeks Doctor Who video doesn't mention the Derek Jacobi head turn, does it even exist?
Nope. Nope.
Edit: spot on with boom town
Edit: aliens of London should have been higher it's a really good episode.
Edit: I'm good with what you said about the long game
Edit: series two is my favourite so it's hard for me to criticise any episode from it.
Edit: Final edit, I love love and monsters. Fight me.
MR FLIBBLE! How's Rimmer doing?
Another Communist Fruitcake agreed, as a kid I was never scared of doctor who until that episode and that messed me up for months XD
I loved Tooth and Claw, everything except the contrived ending
OH BOY! As a werewolf movie fan, I can give you good werewolf recommendations. Want a werewolf design to blow your mind: Bad Moon. The movie is great but the werewolves are amazing even to today. It was made, 1996ish? And proof that practical effects age better.
Wait, when did Harry Potter have werewolves
I feel like Christmas specials are supposed to be goofy, though. If it was all serious and normal then it wouldn't really feel like Christmas. It's just generally supposed to be "have fun and don't think to much about it and just enjoy it for what it is." Then again, this is a ranking so your somewhat forced to think too much about it. Nonetheless, good video, keep up the good work.
Apart from the stupid monster (which you can't blame) and the shitty ending I enjoy Love and Monsters and will still rewatch it along with all the other episodes except for Fear Her. Seriously how was Fear Her not on here
I think it should have been on but it is written by Matthew Graham :)
He only did episodes RTD wrote.
Gabriel Curle Fear Her was pretty good. I can probably count all bad episodes on one hand, most have been awesome.
I personally would need two hands to count all the bad episodes, because series three had more than five episodes...
anyone else think he looks like the nostalgia critic
You're not the first to point it out. I'd say I have more hair, but I guess you can't really tell.
ya, also he has a much thinner face. while yours it a bit more rounded.
How would I know if anyone else thinks that?
@@monteemann7325 So rude
I'm very disappointed with your takeaway from Boom Town. Such a lovely slice of season 1 joy.
8:44 It's not about the Titanic, the while episode the Poseiden Adventure
It's very, very rare that I have the sort of knee-jerk reactions to lists that most people joke about when they say "People will dislike this". But as soon as you said Gridlock, I was full on "LOLWAT" - one of my favorite episodes, hands down. Opinions vary I guess.
Well I did warn you.
It also really hurt me to see Gridlock on this as it's one of my fave and I understand about the cat nurses but I found them quite charming but I'm a cat person
When you say you're "a cat person..."
@@CouncilofGeeksis that different than a person cat?
Are you kidding me .voyage of the damn is one of the best Christmas special .i have lost lot some respect for you for putting it on the list :
I love The Runaway Bride
The third act of Love and Monsters really hurts to think about, because I loved everything before that. I guess it's like the Series 9 finale trilogy, if that's a fair comparison
This is my top 10 least favourite of his era, not just the ones he’s written:
- The Long Game
- New Earth
- Fear Her
- Love and Monsters
- The Lazarus Experiment
- 42
- Daleks In Manhattan / Evolution of the Daleks
- The Next Doctor
- Planet of the Dead
Are we going to find out The Face of Bo is a future Captain Jack?
I love that rant on "New Earth". Still my least favourite series opener.
And Moffats why of winning is go back in time and change the whole timeline or tell your past self something you need so you have it in the future.
A episode on the actual episode would be amazing. I'd love it too be a two part episode.
Donna Noble is my favorite companion too!
If Gridlock didn't have Ardal O'Hanlon in then I wouldn't have really liked it.
You ever notice writers for doctor who often have like two or three great ideas but they glom them all into one episode and it comes out horribly

What were the episodes in between?
Partners in Crime, Rose and The Next Doctor.
Loved voyage of the damned but agree with you on most of these. Max Capricorn sucked though.
One of the things I love about you is that you are fair to the actors and always mention when you think the actor was better than the makeup and prosthetics. A lot of people forget that it's difficult to act under a mask and loads of makeup!
She kill a ship of a different race
I love Voyage Of The Dammned
Gridlock is one of my fave episodes but like I CANT EXPLAIN WHY BC ITS REALLY NOT VERY GOOD BUT FOR SOME REASON ITS ONE OF MY COMFORT EPISODES I THINK ITS BC OF THE FUN CAT GUY AND THE OLD LESBIAN COUPLE I LOVE THEM
I loved them but tought how sad so far in the future and they do the goofy We´re sisters #wink #wink thing
@@stephjovi oof that's a good point
I wouldn't have put Love and Mosters so high on the list, except for that god awful ending with the image of Elton shagging a paving slab with a face left in my head. Too often Doctor Who seems afraid to do sad and we have this awful hollywood type stick on a happyish ending.
Just like every era* of Doctor Who, it always has some stinkers. RTD didn't write the best stuff of his era (other than maybe Midnight?), but he did write some of the dodgy ones- kind of his job to fill in the gaps to make up a season, though.
*- Apart from the legendary series 13 and 14, of course.
13 & 14? You mean Series 3 & 4?
@@f-zilla7347 Good grief, no! the original 13 and 14.
... Although RTD seasons 3 and 4 are his best in my book, they are still unconsistent, just not as inconsistent as his first two. The only time the show was that good was with Hinchcliffe!
@@MrLtia1234 Ahhh I apologize good chap, I must of misinterpreted what you were saying.
I must agree however, Tom Baker’s second and third seasons are absolutely amazing and peak Doctor Who, that’s why he’s the best Doctor!
I liked new earth
Awesome! Happy for you. Wish I could have.
Me too
Thewatchguru_instagram at tomj_watches if it was in the middle of the series It would be less disappointed
I would have put Last of the Timelords in there. It's really stupid. The Master turns the Doctor in Dobbie, and through some magic words spread by Martha, he is returned to normal???
So magic words didn't help the Doctor?
Rebel Captain I know that magic words wouldn't save the Doctor.
the Jesus Doctor was a fucking Deus Ex Machina but, except for that, the episode was good.
Still waiting for an answer.
Paul Charles Morris The satellites were used to cancel out the master's perception filter and use it to give power to the doctor. Still doesnt make as much sense however it wasnt magic or prayer.
is that scarf a reference or just a coincidence
It's a 4th Doctor scarf.
Gridlock was awesome! I wished they showed more
I don’t know how tooth and claw is on this list it’s gotta be in my top 10 greatest ever episodes of Doctor who
Great video, I agree with you in many chapters but not at all, and yes "love and monsters" is so bad OMG, greetings from Venezuela
In my personal opinion: The killer Christmas tree scene is one of the funniest scenes of series 2.
You can't say I didn't warn you.
I hate to break it to you but Rose Tyler is the best thing ever.
Yeah I follow the theory, but I still think it's the lazy design choice to make for a non-human species.
True. It'd like how I get frustrated with Star Trek, especially Next Generation, when it feels like the only way to make an alien is various bumps on the head somewhere.
@@RileyJSilverman TNG had a low budget though. What about Discovery?
@@MovieMagic515 Discovery is way better at this, yes.
I like New Earth and Gridlock. We need more of the face of boe, or jack as a young face of boe. I also think the cat people are interesting...also because they remind me if the khajiit (from the tes)
You can redo the Best and Worst RTD episodes with him returning as show runner
I absolutely agree on Gridlock. I like that episode, mainly because of the premise - generations living and dying in a traffic jam, sustained by the hope for eventually finding an off ramp which doesn't exist. But you're right that it didn't need giant crab monsters or mood drugs, both of which could have been fine episodes on their own but served little purpose in Gridlock.
As an aside, maybe it's me but I read Gridlock as being allegorical for life. The endless grind for a phantom freedom which no one ever attains.
Russell T Davies was a God of a Writer.
Still is
I agree with the number one, I believe it's the worst Doctor Who Episode ever
