I graduated from High School that year also. We went down there the night before the concert started and the parties in the parking lots....well they were just amazing to an 18 year old. This was truly one of the greatest days I remember as a kid. I remember Collective Soul covering "Crazy Train" by Ozzy Osbourne and everyone going nuts. It was soooooo damn hot but it didnt matter. I am so glad I got to grow up in the 90's with great alternative music and culture.
It's so cool to me hear how the live version of this stunning song has evolved over the years... Shes changed a lot about how she does it, but it's always beautiful, and it ages well
Wow I can't believe this is on here, I tried searching for something, anything for so long, then gave up. I was right in front of her when she did this song, which was a struggle to get that spot. It's awesome so many people posting went as well, I was 17 years old at the time. This concert was recorded in music history at the time as the biggest attendance ever at a live concert event, we only paid around $7 bucks for a ticket.
Avocado1 I was also 17. and my friends and I went to blockbuster to get our tickets, all pitched in on a hotel room, then told our parents we were spending the weekend with one another , then it was the most epic road trip weekend ever!
I remember this concert being on VH1 (Texas Motor Speedway, right?) but I don't remember her performing. I do remember Matchbox Twenty, Collective Soul and Bush. All great but the most memorable moment from that show had to be Paula Cole and her hairy armpits!
I was somewhere up front there dehydrated at this point just awestruck, from the parties the night before with everyone and their tents and trailers, wild times till the last performance we had a blast, also got separated from our friends, sad it was only the 1st and only annual, edgefest just didn't compare
Thank the Lord we were able to bring in a cooler with water and ice. The best thing I brought was a wash rag to dip in the ice and put on my neck. We drank our asses off and had so much fun. We were at the very edge pf the mosh pit. Fab day and night. Great memories.
Without people making the cooler. You wouldn’t have one. You should thank people since they really are the ones that Invented coolers for you to use while you’re out.
Can't believe you found this video!! I will never forget what a great time I had with you. I remember feeling super cool on top of a moving van yelling what's up Potty People to the line of people waiting at the porta-potties. And yes that was THE best alcoholic watermelon everrrrr!
Closest ill ever get I think to a Woodstock moment, from the tailgate parties the night before where the girls was going topless and the bands was playing amongst the crowed and everybody shared their goodies. The next day we toted our coolers in packed with drinks and tried to stay together that was next to impossible our group ended up in 5 groups before the BB fest was over, the bands was great and I even remember that one band Soak getting tossed out for stagediving and taking out a cop
My favorites were collective soul and counting crows. But all were good! I left there burnt to a crisp, dehydrated, and still half stoned from the night before! 😂
Joe Bailer but unfortunately that would be insest, me doing that. See "Enter from the East" is about me. If I would have gone to Niagara Dragstrip September 1,1973 like I was suppose to, she would have never been born. That guy from Alaska she calls her Father is Her Mothers, Brother. He have me Nedra's hand in Marriage at an LRY Conference in Toronto Canada. Google Liberal Religious Youth. The real game player's are her mother and her pen pale friend from Niagara Fall's N.Y. a Lori Speck aka Laura Gold, mentioned in the Spirit CD credits
