Northeast Toyota gives you bigger battery to begin with, but no foam insulation. Bought mine in Florida. Brought it in for catalytic converter recall, they wrote up, "wrong battery." Got OEM battery tray/hold down, etc. This was second gen. Bought my 3rd gen in NH. Got wrong battery down south. When I brought it in for fuel pump recall, they wrote up, "wrong battery/missing battery insulation".

I had a Northstar AGM in my previous Tundra and never had issues with charging on stock charging system for the four years I had it. I believe the battery you purchased is also made by Northstar but which has now been purchased by Odyssey.
I understand you need the agm tune to hit the proper charging voltage for agm batteries (i believe its 14.2-14.7 volts) or you can shorten the lifespan of the battery itself. But what do you do when the battery reaches its full charge? Normally the alternator will charge in float mode afterwards with regular batteries when they hit 100% but if you tune it to be a constant 14.2-14.7...you can shorten the AGM batteries lifespan also by overcharging it. So basically...you can undercharge the AGM, and you can overcharge it also...both do damage to the lifespan. Im in the same boat with my AGM and ive been using the trickle charger once a month to properly maintain it..but its getting really annoying cause a month seems to fly by real quick.
