Thank you so much! You have helped to save me from surgery! I found you a few months back after falling and injuring my knee! I wish I had known all of what you teach when I was younger! You just don’t understand how everything is SO connected within our bodies and how they work in tandem! I have started saving your videos on glute/hip exercises, because without the strength of butt muscles and hip flexibility it literally becomes crippling! Again thank you for SCREAMING that surgery is not always necessary and to give exercise therapy a chance to work. I’m so glad I found you! Long story short you rock!
Thank you so much. So useful. I am 80 and I do my best not to have surgery with you help. I do what you teach us to say on our feet as long as we can. Please folks, don’t be lazy. Take care of yourself exercising before anything else. Naz
I’ll be 65 in March and have been active all of my adult life. Two years ago my partner and I started lifting heavy weights 4 times a week and doing more cardio. This summer my son had a brain bleed and I had to go and care for my three grandsons for a month. I wore them out everyday. We walked more than 100 miles in the month. I also easily carried the 9 and 4 year old up the stairs on the nights when they fell asleep on the couch. Keeping fit is legit! And if anyone thinks that I don’t have aches from previous injuries, they’re wrong. I just push right on through.
Hi Kathleen You're very welcome! We're sorry to hear about the knee pain-it's never easy to deal with. We hope you find relief. We have a lot of free resources on our channel. Just in case you are interested we have a knee arthritis help playlist you may find helpful. You can access it here: “Knee Arthritis Help” ua-cam.com/play/PLJVIPiFvv1maa9YF-WmKLF7oI4VoczH8i.html Start with one or two exercises, beginning with the smallest range of motion and the lowest intensity. As you feel stronger, you can gradually increase both the range of motion and intensity. It’s best to do these exercises every day throughout the day. Aim to tire out the muscle without losing form or control. Consistency is key. Always avoid working through pain; soreness and mild discomfort are normal, but pain is not. We hope you found this information helpful to you. We'd love to hear how you are doing as you progress.🙌 Please take care!
Thank you, doctor, you've been heaven sent for me! I've been getting cortisone shots every six months but the relief fades quickly. I tried gel shots once, which left me in more pain then ever. I've started tightening my glutes and crunching my toes while sitting in my chair a few times per day. I'm also walking or shopping every other day with less effort/pain with a day in between for rest. My knee pain and stiffness continue to improve. I'd almost given up but I'm so happy I found you on UA-cam and didn't. I encourage your viewers to give your strategies a try! Again, many thanks!
I find sorbothane insoles very helpful. I get the ones that are solid black. Reduces shock 96%. I'm a teacher who stands all day and I'm very fat 300 pounds. The insoles last me 10 years. I toss them into the washing machine. They cost $30 so not cheap.
I want to thank u for a video that I watched, in reference to Siatic Nerve payment. About a month ago, I woke up with a pain in my left butt cheek. I didn't think to much about it, but before the day was over I had excruciating pain running down my left leg down to my ankle. It was brutal! After watching one of yr videos where u recommended 5 exercises to do to alleviate the pain. I started doing these exercises about 4 or 5 times a day. Guess what!! They worked. Although I know that I m not completely cured, I can tell u that my pain is all but gone. I continue to do ur exercises & I feel great. Again, thank u for doing away with my pain!
Thank you doctor David after watching your videos I got clear that glute muscles should be strengthend not the quads.. I got into a good physiotherapy where they trained me with glute exercises and other muscle strengthening exercises... I do my exercises regularly.. Now I feel no pain, no stiffness in my knees... Thank you doctor your videos were very helpful.
Thanks! I have been diagnosed with end stage arthritis in both knees. I am currently working on using my gluteus for walking and exercising them. Later on I might join your program when I am ready for advanced work. But baby steps for now.
Hi Christied, you are very welcome! We are so sorry to hear that you've been suffering from knee arthritis pain. We know how challenging it can be and we hope you feel better soon. Just in case you are interested we have a playlist for knee arthritis help. @ Thank you! I’ve been doing strength training at the gym since January and I’ve lost 57 pounds. I’m going to try your suggestions. I really appreciate it!
Dear Dr. David, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart 🙏❤️ for this video with the complete guide to having a healthy knees even at 85 years old 😃😃😃👍 Nice regards❤️❤️❤️
I broke my femur four years ago. I don't wish that on anyone. I am walking, but I have done exercises and walking. I need to do more though. Thank you for this great video.
Dr u explain every thing very nicely that can be understood. Dr I have polio on my left foot I cannot walk keeping my feet straight .iam from India and my age is 50+ Dr are there some idea for my polio feet. Pls pls reply
Falling on the kneecaps was like aging 50 years over night. Found a good physio who showed me to get out of a chair properly which made life a bit easier as I couldn't just propel myself out of a chair anymore. One meniscus has become really painful so I am ditching the recent quad exercises I was doing even though they did straighten out the legs initially. I can't even wear a brace without that causing pain
Thank you for all you do. Could you give an idea what over 65's should be doing daily.....exercises plus walking ,biking or whatever. It would be so helpful.
Amazing video! You're the best! I wonder whether you should walk barefootedly if you have flat feet and a torn meniscus and have been wearing orthopedic flipflops for the past 6 years
I went to the link for the full program but did not see answers to exactly what I was looking for. In each phase is there a routine of exercises you do with a trainer online? Or is it instruction on how to do it and then you go do it on your own? Is the coaching the main aspect of the program or is learning and doing the exercises the main aspect?
Hello Karen! Thank you for your question! In the recovery program you will find four phases containing exercises to help you improve the root problem, the muscular imbalance. The program has videos demonstrating and explaining each exercise that you can follow along with. We also offer Recovery Coaching, where our program specialist can help lead you through your recovery program. The main aspect is to educate you on the things that will help you have lasting relief from your current situation ! Please let us know if you have anymore questions :-) - Team EPMPT
Thank you! I train my glutes and feet. I now wear barefoot shoes and love them. Should I also curl my toes/point my feet like a ballerina? It feels like I train some extra muscles this way? ❤❤
I'm hoping I will still be running, walking, cycling ,horse riding, lifting weights when I'm 85. I'm 69 soon, and since watching your channel, I am including many of the glute strengthening excersises . Lunges used to be a nightmare, but now I realise I was just trying to use only my quads, and had bad pain in both knees. I'm only at the beginning, doing the baby lunges, but already can do those without knee pain. I did purchase your knee arthritis program, but can't find it on my computer. I don't want to pay twice, so will your website recognise my email, so I can download it again?
Thank you for giving me alternatives to injections and surgery! All the doctors around here are all AMA by-the-book, and it drives me nuts that they don't know/offer alternatives!
Thank you so much! You have helped to save me from surgery!

Is lifting weights at a senior age a good idea as there’s a danger of getting a hernia if the abdominal muscles are not very strong? I’m 77.
