🚀 Scratchbuild Sci fi Cargo Ship Diorama: How to build it!

Hey people of UA-cam, welcome back for a new video.
In this video i'm making a sci-fi style cargo ship out of plastic pieces from scratch.
I imagined this ship being used by a crew of ragtag smugglers. For the figures of this diorama i chose Italeri's 1/72 scale Nato Pilots and Ground Crews figure set, painted them in informal, more civilian colors.
In addition i scratchbuilt various objects from sticks, plastics, and various mini parts i salvage from every day objects to fill the diorama scene.

I once made a scratch built Fash Gordon Style space ship. I would love to see you make a version of a space pirate ship.
space pirate ship? 😯 now that’s an idea out of the box! 😉
you should make one that can cut open and show the inside of the ship, the cargo hold, the engine, the bridge, the bunks, etc
This turned out great! The video was a fun watch; You kept a good pace but still went into a good amount of detail on everything. Looking forward to more from you
Thanks, i'm happy you liked it! There was much more to show but i didn't want the video to take 20 or so minutes, had to trim quite abit of the original footage.
With cool builds like this one I am always wanting more. I'd gladly watch something this for 20+ mins.

The silver edge highlights are a bit bold and perhaps overdone in places but overall it looks fantastic! I think even just cutting the thickness of those lines in half would help up the realism. Having dings on every possible edge would still not look too much if the lines were just thinner. Can't wait to see what else you come up with!
i used a chrome pen by Molotov brand, that was the first time i realized the bit of the pen is too large for this scale i usually work with. i kind of stopped using that pen a while ago, instead i am doing this with the brushes and metallic color paints.

This is amazing! I love your workflow method, which is akin to my own, but yours seems much more efficient. The container is inspirational. My one question is, where did you find that CA glue that works on all those different plastics and paper and wood?! Anyway, you have a new subscriber, my friend.
doesnt all CA glue types bind any 2 types of materials? 😮 joke aside i dont really know any other type, i tried many brands from nonames to brands like Pritt. havent seen any real difference so i buy whatever’s cheap in dollar stores in bulk.

i use usual cheap CA glue. the tip is a regular syringe needle 😉
4:24 hay heads up that battery can eventually corrode and leak acid on you or your build be careful

Great work. Lot of useful ideas of using everyday materials. Which kind of glue do you use? I always struggle with cyanocrilate nozzles.
yeah, i think twice about throwing a plastic item to the garbage bin. 😊
i always use cheap high viscosity CA glues. i strenghten the glued area with baking powder on the glued area when i dont have enough bondage in between the pieces.

Cheap paint brushes for large surfaces, Davinci brand of brushes for small details and figures..
I use Vallejo paints usually, for large surfaces acrylic craft paints.
Do you ever make your own Sculpting Tools
No, i don't do scupting.
What did you ise for washes
Just home made washes
What Glue are you using
Regular cheap CA glue.

i use regular CA glue with a syringe needle on it. there are enough people asking about this, i ll post a video about it tomorrow 😉
noted that. I am looking for a CA glue with a long shelf life (once opened). Wanted to know if you have any brand you use and can recommend.
@@dannysrecreationalspace4947 To be honest with you, i don't know if they have a shelf life once you cut open the tip. Over the course of years i noticed that their "shelf life" is as long as their plastic nozzle gets clogged up and become unusuable. But the syringe needle eliminates that problem entirely. In regards to their effectiveness over time once opened just never changed for me, the only thing i could have observed is their distinctive eye watering smell (most likely bad for your lungs) gets less intense after a while.
I don't have a preferred brand, i used anything from dollor store brands to top brands like Pritt , they all worked the same for me.
