- Alien 1979 Nostromo built from scratch. Since Alien came out in 1979, it has been my favorite Sci-Fi movie to this day. I have always considered the Nostromo one of the most mysterious and awesome ships in Science Fiction films. As a kid I never could own the Nostromo and now it's very expensive and difficult to find. 40 years later, I decided to build my version from scratch. It took a whole year. I worked on it only when I had free time, but documented when I could. This is a photo-montage of the project at 5 second frames. My very first video ever.

One thing i found really interesting is that the ship isn't symmetrical. It's actually built unevenly. And you were able to recreate that perfectly.

I bought the Halcyon's Nostromo resin kit around 20 years ago. It is still in the box, waiting to be mounted. Your Nostromo is even more detailed than Halcyon's kit. It is second to none. You have amazing skills and this video is a pleasure to watch. Thanks for sharing.

I think this is the best form of Maker video, superb editing and filming. You have climbed a not insignificant personal mountain; no expensive injection molded kit would compare with either the artisan experience or the 3D beauty of the finish. This should be recommended viewing for all modelers. I applaud the 'up-cycling', there is so much waste plastic - no 3D printing required. Your fascination shows in every frame. Spectacular.
I once built a 'cardboard city' for a bookshop window display - it demonstrated principle architectural styles and periods, at the top of one of the buildings, I put the unfinished architects garret, with one window. The model ended up at a Special-Needs school, where (I was told) a child who had not been engaged by anything before - took one look and 'flipped'.

Thank you very much for your comment. I'm glad you like it. I hope it inspires everyone to keep building and creating. This is my very first build from scratch. A complete year of slow work. I'm working on a new project now and I think it will also take some time.

Amazing work. Trying not to be cliché, but the detail is jaw dropping. Very well produced video too. Normally, I don't care for the music that most channels have on them. This was well-matched to the video and the subject. Not over the top like a lot are. Sedate...sweeping...ominous. Well done Sir! How much? Make a 3D scan of it and do a printed version? I haven't read most of the comments, and this video was posted in December 2022, but how many have suggested that the next project be the matching "money"? Lol...

The only word that come to mind is "STUNNING" !!. This is beautiful and I love the use of every day items like pens and even cable ties. The greebly count is astronomical !.

This ship is the modified version of the Lockmart CM-88B Bison, manufactured by Lock-Mart Industries... You would have saved yourself a lot of time if you had simply asked the factory for the build scheme of the ship 😉... But hey, anyway It's excellent work☺ __
