Hey guys!
Welcome to my new diorama video; i name this The Last Patrol. In this video i'm making a futuristic, diorama where a mech and a soldier going on their last patrol duty, or at least that's how i imagined them through out scratch building of this diorama.
Thinking the mech would have a pilot in it, i tried to stay loyal to the scale, and paid attention to details like a hatch for the pilot to enter. The figure i picked for this was gifted to me and i don't know it's brand or material composition. I just liked that him looking like a sniper completes the mech/soldier duo being on a recon or a patrol mission in a desert like environment.
I'm not that experienced in scratch building a mech, or a robot, in fact this is the second one i have ever done and took me longer to build and paint it than i estimated.
🎨I only work with acrylic paints and the ones i used on the mech and the figure are;
🖌️Vallejo Black Primer
🖌️Revell Sand
🖌️Vallejo Dark Rubber
🖌️Vallejo Amaranth Red
🖌️Vallejo German Grey
🖌️Vallejo Anthracite Grey
🖌️Vallejo Oily Steel
🖌️Vallejo Old Wood
🖌️Vallejo New Wood
🖌️Vallejo Green Brown
🖌️Vallejo Flat Flesh
🖌️Vallejo Medium Fleshtone
I used regular black, grey and brown craft paints for priming the base, the rock pieces and the tree.
I'm always open for diorama ideas, throw them in the comments section and I hope you like it!

Let me know what you think of this wanna-be bumble bee :) And feel free to give me your ideas for future builds!
The diorama is awesome but seeing you make the robot is the main highlight for me. Great work.
It looks like Diorama is in the operating theatre 😁your so very clever I Love your work
Amazing job !
This is really great. All I can suggest is that when you want to paint yellow, paint it over a brown base. I've watched half a dozen scratchbuilding videos today and each one ends up yellow painted over black or grey. I feel the pain of the painter as he tries to get yellow to cover it. Brown is a wonderful base for yellow.
hi, that makes sense! i ll give it a try next time i make another mech in yellow color 😉
Fantastic build, absolutely brilliant stuff
Fantastic build! I've said it before and I'll say it again. Priming is like magic. It's crazy how much scratch builds change once primer is applied. And that's not counting the painting and weathering.
I know, right? There are some projects i just want to stop at the primer level because it looks so plain yet almost majestic 😏
This mech came out great, thank you for sharing the process!
Glad you liked it!
Amazing work! Keep it up, buddy!
Very cool work.
Fantastic build. Especially loved the hands
Thank you, glad to hear you liked it! 😊
I absolutely love this!
delighted to hear that! 😊
That was awesome 😊
Love the details and final results!!
thanks a lot!
@@VivalaCaffeine you are very welcome 😊
All the brueprint is all in your head 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
damn that looks good!
sci fi scratch builds are the best.
I would like and see you create a space ship in the future.
thanks! i was thinking to make a space port with a ship in the future 😉
awesome work !!!!!!!!!!! love it !!!!!!!
happy to hear you liked it, make sure to check out my other videos 😉
A half, or fully, robotic dragon in a swamp with a knightly adventurer diorama would be really cool!
Other than that, very nice work! Can't wait to see more from you!
noted!
Looks absolutely brilliant
Glad to hear you liked it!
I would have added some weight inside the robot. Nice job!
Just stumbled on to your channel. Amazing work 👍
thanks alot and welcome aboard 😉
Very nice, I’ve seen actual toys “kit bashed” on other diaramas. This was a bit different, random completely unrelated scrap became one hell of a Mech.
thanks, glad you liked it! This is a rather old build. i made more mechs after this. you can check them out in the channel 😊
Very cool mech/robot and the final diorama is fantastic! The painting and details of the robot really brings it to life. Though I have to say that those were the best dang rocks I have ever seen. I'm amazed they were made from scratch!
Just found your channel and I'm very impressed with your talents, so now I need to binge watch your other builds/vids. 😁 Keep on keeping on!!
comments and appreciations like yours make my day, thank you and i’m happy to hear you like it, welcome to the tribe! 😃
i am thinking of remaking this diorama with similar elements and a similar mech sometime in the future 😉
G'day very cool build and great video mate
thanks mate!
very nice
love it :)
Nice
👍
Hey great video and build! What kind of glue are you using? It seems so watery in the beginning, but it turns super strong? And thats the same glue you can do the bakingsoda-combo with?
Thanks!
Cheap, dollar store quality super glue. Works better when its just opened. Yes , for the baking soda combo 😉
Thank you for this video, it's great! I really like your robot
What glue do you use and how long does it take to dry?
Thank you
Glad to hear you liked it. i use regular cheap CA glue. it takes from 5 seconds to a minute to dry depending on the types of plastic pieces i’m gluing together.
@@VivalaCaffeine Thank you
Great, imaginitive work but Please tone down the background music. If id wanted music, I would select some.
What glue do you use
Regular CA glue
