yes and the bloody lemon rxs as well - funny days they were - bless em, check out our 25 video playlist of when deano and i visited spocktra back in 2014 - great laugh - ua-cam.com/video/lNCWFaDUEMM/v-deo.html
My definition of a crash, broken prop or something easily replaced, Minor Wear and Tear. Anything fixable with a bottle of CA, Minor Damage, anything that can be fixed but takes a little longer and uses a bottle of Epoxy, Major Damage. When it hits the ground so hard, you have to use a broom to sweep it up, or you now have the same number of parts you started with when you opened the kit box, or what's left, fits back in the box, that's a crash.
@billp4 people asked when was a model finished? I'd tell them when I need a broom to clear the runway. I've had two midair crashes. Same two pilots, the only ones in the air, two different fields, years apart. Tell me that isn't weird.
It seems to me, having flown RC as a youth and not for 20 years, that there should be a landing mode (and even takeoff) for the radio that cuts the throw of the Servos in half so that the pilot doesn’t overcorrect so much. Seems like that’s a big cause of these crashes.
a lot of radios have this, its the flight conditions switch. But it needs setting up. edit - Flight conditions (other brands have different names) are a way of having one switch change the mode of the transmitter in a holistic way, all the various individual rates that can be changed with individual rate switches, and whatever trims or mixes can be done in one go. New radios are really cool.
all a pain in the arse rich, giving you more work load and complications leading to crashes and accidents when not used properly, ive been flying since 1983 and dont use rates switches on any of my models, my thumbs are my rates and have served me well !

The engine cut at take going in to a knife edge worst possible and doomed, I had done this manoove loads of times till wh??m one day , its looking good the next heap of broken balsa oh well lol
I'M GOING TO SAY IT AGAIN! DON'T TAKE OFF, OR LAND ON GRASS!!!!!!!!!! There was a run way, or street there. GEEZZZZ! GRASS TEARS UP LANDING GEAR! It grabs the gear, plus, it's ROUGH. NOT SMOOTH LIKE ASPHALT.
What I don't understand is why are not these guys running the Engines for a few minutes and rev up the Motors ! these stall outs and I have seen plenty bad fuel mix bad bind on transmitter all Human error !!
Sorry to repeat myself, but the bigger the boys, the bigger the toys. But with that only the ego grows, not the landing skills. When I was learning to fly, I practiced hundreds, if not thousands of times landing on the direction, with the appropriate path of descent from the ceiling and hitting the designated landing area. Many of these colleagues have never heard of it. But they had the money to buy a set. Unfortunately, the biggest mistake is "strangling" the landing model. And these gentlemen keep doing the same thing. Then surprise that the model does "push-ups" and bounces off the grass. These are the basic mistakes of a novice, not a pilot with 20 years of practice... They definitely lack regularity in training, practice and knowledge of how to do it. In real aviation, they would never pass the solo flight test. That's for sure. So in the end, they just pay a lot for mistakes.
the starfighter jet on the uncut rough grass field, now thats ideal, good job mate
That’s one way of bringing a Stuka down.. a shame for both aircraft
The "tarts" intentionally destroying their foamies eased the pain I felt for the loss of those other aircraft.
the tarts have gotta let off some steam one way or another
What are those foam planes? Who sells them?
What is considered a tart?
it's probably not the thing to say, but I am glad that is is not just me to have these incidents , Love what you do
Cheers
PT
thanks pt, im afraid it happens to us all m8 - inc the best !
First crash " Come on the Orange " springs to mind. lol
Gotta miss the Chimp!!!

@@tbobborap1 Is that the one where Deano takes a wing off a 3D foamie and still flies it? Bloody show off!!! Boy got some THUMBS.
lol - yes thats the one, great laugh that day
Got to love the "Marlin Mayhem!" Awesome compilation
Glad you liked it brad
The first crash was a 'Bits Special' biplane.
lol
Cool stuff 😎🤙🏼
thanks my friend 👊
Good to see there weren't too many write offs! Did the postmortem show anything on that Pitts?
havent had a chance to ask him yet sam, it wasnt his tx as he used it to fly other models that day
@@tbobborap1 he was confident! Hope he finds out... would drive me mad!
yes it would me as well sam, im guessing he found the issue at the crash scene and chose to carry on flying - ill find out soon when i see him next
@@tbobborap1 Yes, must be something like that. Always interested in case it is a mistake I can avoid! Happy Christmas to you both :)
thanks sam, same to you m8
Some of those landing they just needed to go around
Some people didn’t pay the 50 quid Pete. 😂. Nice vid as always fella. 🤛
🤣🤣 thats right keith, if you dont pay the reaper then on it goes on line m8 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The scale modelers never disappoint when it comes to crashes.
You know how many times i've been goaded on with "go on Jamesy".............
lol
Were the two planes that crashed midair then smashed into the ground in a million pieces alright? 😂
Top entertainment that was!
Gutted the plane is a write-off, but at least you got it on video!
thanks

That was fun to watch, the last part with the tree
Waowwww
If more people flew RC there would be world peace.
That pitts at the beginning was upsetting
Thank goodness they were only RC in some of those crashes bro but the tree hanging one takes the just plain clever award. Safe travels
lol - cheers ken
That looked like pure, unadulterated fun. 😀
lol
But they are adults, sort of.
@@billp4 Oh no, we wouldn't want grownups spoiling the fun.

It’s called a rate switch and you are supposed to set it up

@@tbobborap1 yes its a bloody faff, Ive been messing around with EdgeTx on my Radiomaster transmitter for hours and hours and got almost nothing done.
At first glance I see a business opportunity for better landing gear!
lol
Would be interesting and add to the video if we knew what caused the crash.
it would but would take too long to sort out and edit - just enjoy the crashes
@@tbobborap1 Ok.
3:28 as you can see the StuKa-Pilot is still greeting! #HartWieKruppStahl
My pits had a 47 cc s 2stroke I could do anything with it from prop hangs ,tourk rolls just anything,,,till one day the stupid ej

thanks for your advice lance
Reality is Lance my boy is that probably 95% or more clubs at least here in Australia have grass runways. Do you actually fly RC?
Some poor flying and fragile builds there. Poor things..

Who said they didn't? 🤔
4:42 What the... 😆
Must be nice being able to afford plowing planes into the ground all willy nilly. (6:00-7:00)
yep - you should try it sometime
