Yay lol a hurricane!..it was only the other day I commented on one of your other videos saying I don’t see many, people forget they were the back bone before the spitfire turned up, so underrated…..
Some great flying and excellent model building. However, there is nothing new under the sun. I remember as a boy seeing RC aeroplanes at Farnborough on the park at Queen's Parade on Sunday lunchtimes. These guys were working at the RAE, Solartron, Marconi in the week, and flying all kinds of amazing machines at the weekend. It was part of the culture of engineering excellence which is largely gone, although it does still exist in the modelling world. Happy days!
Rule #1 if all the landing gear fails to deploy, raise them back up and belly land. WTF am I missing? Why are people trying to land on 1 wheel all the time and destroying their planes? Lol Especially if they are gonna slam that plane on the deck as well. Landing is crucial and should be well practiced by the time you advance to most of these types we see here, you glide in slow and nose slightly up. The plane will actually do the rest, everyone I see here is nose diving to the deck and trying to drive into the ground rather than softly glide on to it.
It breaks my heart to see these beautiful aircraft destroyed and hurt. I was surprised to see so many gear failures and that the guys elected to land on tarmac with one down, instead of a safer belly landing with the gear up on the grass.
Great video! Been watching tons of your stuff as I'm dipping my toe into this hobby finally after years of watching from the sidelines. One question.. how did that guy land the stunt plane after knocking his rudder off? I saw him keeping it Airborne after the rudder was gone and then it was on the ground and didn't look very beat up.
hi zack, thanks for watching our videos - much appreciated, it was easy to land the model because the rudder isnt that important on that type of model and it was only possible to land because the vertical fin (in front of the rudder) was still intact and keeping the model flying in a straight line, had that been ripped off then possibly the model would have crashed depending n the pilots skill set !
Ok, its 2017. We've been to the moon. Our Airliners can fly from A to B fully automatic. Most of us have a telephone in the pocket which is able to show almost any information on the planet immediately on a flat, high resolution colour screen. But somehow we failed to develope a reliable retractable undercarriage mechanic for a simple model plane.
Lot's of great pilots in this one! Something or other went wrong and they deal with it. To the dude who finished his routine and made a successful landing after knocking the ruder off... Awesome!
All the problems come from a mis-placed center of gravity! especially the red cub!! Tail heavy!! Move the CG one inch forward and the plain with be as stable as a rock!!
Two mistakes being repeated time and again. 1. you are better off landing downwind than attempting to turn into the wind too low... 2. Hold off when in ground effect until your speed bleeds off, don't just dump it in. Basic stuff. Or is it that they are ARTF so no one actually cares anymore...

As interesting as these crashes are, it's still upsetting to see such cracking models hit the deck, isn't it? Still we all get 'em now & again, part of the game. Keep up the good work, great camerawork!
Those landing gear things should be called "detracts". When they stick up, they should be called "crap". Why don't they ever stick in down position? I've been flying RC scale since the 60's but so far have avoided "detracts". EP has fewer dead stick landings, just sayin.
I don't know why some of these guy don't try power looping to set a landing gear that's not fully extend, I know I have done it a few times and it's worth a try!
They need to paint a crashed airplane on the sides like the victory markings. Brings you have to break a few eggs to make a omelet. Course some of these flyers exercise great skill to bring these birds down with as little damage as possible. KUDOS to these flyers and their wallets for entertaining us.
tbobborap1 thanks Pete! Yes, we're all doing well. Not much flying going on because I'm working on some other "life priorities". Now the winter months are are, so the flying is going to be even less. Still haven't flown my Velocity build. Very disappointed. But...there's always next year....I hope! You guys take care!
Ya know, there is a trend here. it appears that ALL RC landing gear is manufactured poorly and doesn't work worth a CRAP.! Why dont they spend more time and money in development for reliable landing gear? Even my big dollar models has had a Landing gear fail one way or another. But, we wouldn't have these videos i suppose :) I always construct models that can belly land just because NO manufacturer has decent, reliable landing gear.
A lot of these pilots seem to have more airplane than they can handle. If you're flying an rc plane, it is your responsibility to fly safely and not do what these people do.
It’s people like you that go around using “a perfect world syndrome“ type of excuse to end up controlling everything to the point no one shows up to fly. Cause people like you have ruined it for all of us. Oh look, his motor isn’t mounted with approved screws, that aileron may flutter and his radio has a battery I don’t like or he charged it wrong. Your type is everywhere and end up making any hobby or sport too damned expensive or just plain not enjoyable to participate in anymore. Do ALL of us a favor and just stand on the sidelines and watch. And if you feel unsafe, then by all means please go home and do build the perfect R/C model yourself. But, make certain you sell it to someone capable of handling it. That is unless you just would rather have the money?
I agree David. I see $5 piloting skills with $5000 models all over this video. I fly model aircraft and don't consider myself very good but after watching this video maybe I need to reassess my skill level.
11:15 That was an absolutely amazing recovery and dead stick landing. Well done!!
Yay lol a hurricane!..it was only the other day I commented on one of your other videos saying I don’t see many, people forget they were the back bone before the spitfire turned up, so underrated…..
So beautiful how they make these models with fantastic engineering and amazing work. Really awesome
Thank you very much!
@@tbobborap1 your welcome

My Favorite is the Hawker Hunter after the turbine blow-out he land it on the Runway great skill.
Great compilation! Nobody likes crashing but nobody wants to miss seeing one🤣😂
Can these guys make repairs during events? I am refering to broken wings or tails or undercarriage?
i would think so..... but i have no clue that is a good question.
Most of these are just displays, crashes during imac etc may lead to disqualification. I'm not 100% though

5:06 would that snap the conrod the engine instantly stopping like that?
no daz not that im aware of,
It breaks my heart to see these beautiful aircraft destroyed and hurt. I was surprised to see so many gear failures and that the guys elected to land on tarmac with one down, instead of a safer belly landing with the gear up on the grass.
That hawker hunter save...just wow

Just saw that it happened a 2nd time in the video and saw that one crash..I was referring to the one around the 10:30 mark

9:08. It doesn't happen a lot that I give a round of applause in front of my computer screen. But he deserved it, what a save...

now`s your chance to make millions sturzi - design one !
I'm going to design one that uses explosives. Even if they don't work, at-least you get a cool explosion.
lol
LOL!
How about a pair of large landing gear without wings, that can fly?
Some good pilots over there on The Ivy!
Woooow,,😀😀😀😀

Es gibt noch Fesselflug! Hätte ich nicht gedacht.
Does anybody get to fly twice?
some of these crashes got re-used in the 2019 video series...
1:24 "You can always go around"
... in some cases its the self-destruction-mode ... the plane gets aware of its uglyness and decides to die ...
Sad and funny same time nice videography as usual
thanks p

11:30 Whats the price of a jet like that one
Dedication, hard work and money
2000-3000$. Australian dollar
Hello guys very good video spectacular. I send a very big greeting for everyone from Buenos Aires 😃👍👍.
many thanks Jorge, many greetings to you also from the uk, hope you have a great xmas and new year my friend - pete,
5:24 you know your landing sucks when BOTH tires say F that and roll off on their own
lol
11:03 No pins in the hinges. In this case, lucky in most cases, disaster... ARTF...
And the clickbait DR1 is where..?
in part two
As interesting as these crashes are, it's still upsetting to see such cracking models hit the deck, isn't it? Still we all get 'em now & again, part of the game. Keep up the good work, great camerawork!
thanks sky, yes we all have hassle with terra firma every now and then - lol
the last one, was perfect ! :D
Thanks for sharing bud. Great video
thanks tim
I feel like the rc community is one of the least toxic out there.
The Robed Reviewer REALLY depends on the club
5:30 Ryanair confirmed
I don't get this type of prop hanging flying at 12:05
It's certainly not realistic or characteristic of real flying.
Why can't any of those 1/10 scale warbirds fold their wheels out or in ???
no idea
I don’t think that any of the Pilots got out!
When the wheels all came off I was in stitches
By the way. Excellent camera work there guys! Really nice.
thanks josh

Aaww Martin no way!✌
Great videography - and an unflinching eye!
Vic M.
many thanks vic
Takes serious nerves to land a giant scale model aircraft deadstick. That hawker hunter landing is a good example of keen and efficient piloting. :-)
Looks like you guys have a lot of retract problems over there …...
To quote from Monty Python..."MERELY A FLESH WOUND". Pete, thanks for sharing. Jim
lol - ah yes jim that takes me back a bit m8, "is that super man ? - no its bicycle repair man" - happy days,
some legend came with the definite engineering solution for safe landing 2:43
oh shit, it's back! 10:02
The guy at 2:05 is looking for his engine from an earlier crash.
lmfao - yep
2:29 Got that DJ Sammy playing in the background. Nice!
Nice one Pete, great editing. 🐵
hi Charlie, thanks m8 - hope alls well your end m8 - throbba ;-)

Brutal HD images
6:59 it needs a wingtip
Man, when they crash, they crash, just pure disintegration.
yep sure do paul
Love ❤❤❤❤
I don't know why some of these guy don't try power looping to set a landing gear that's not fully extend, I know I have done it a few times and it's worth a try!
thanks for the advice crip
Typical french aircraft @ 5:25 ^.^
The third one has happened too me
@1:45... awesome save... ))
...and @5:07 my plane modeling experience is very well summarized... : /
bad for the pilots, but nice for the viewers :)
Oh no, never like to see beautiful models crash !
Dal minuto 03:44 volevo chiedere al tipo se potevo ridere anche io😅😅😅 anche se rosica come un castoretto😅😅😅😃✋😅😅🤣🤣🤣👽👽😅😁😁😁😁
Great stuffs. Got me laughing. Bad piloting
thanks
either a troll or a fool !
If you don't want to crash them-don't build them!
I think the undercarriage could have been stronger 😂😂😂👍
haha funny Video ;)
I crashed my 1/6 piper cub today and destroyed the whole nose
ouch !
Some of those commercial retracts are hopeless.
Jammed landing wheels seems to be very common
That's the stuff!!!!!
yep !
O Martin I've got some confetti for a wedding no way .
lol

thanks eleanor
I hate those stupid helicopters, they look like mosquito's that have just been sprayed with fly spray.
good one - lmfao
WOW, Pete! there were some serious "pucker moments" in this video collection. Great fun to watch!
thanks del - hope alls well your side of the pond m8 ?
tbobborap1 thanks Pete! Yes, we're all doing well. Not much flying going on because I'm working on some other "life priorities". Now the winter months are are, so the flying is going to be even less. Biplanes seem to like being upside down.
tuff landings but exellent pilot skills.
thanks nikolaos
Rc pilots, not real pilots. That's insulting to talk like they are the same.
Slo-mo's are so annoying

I'm guessing from your comment david that you don't fly rc model aircraft ?
I do, I'm an AMA member, and I've seen pilots at my own club pose a risk to others by flying airplanes that they aren't competent to fly.

Pelo visto 99% dos acidentes são por causa do trem de pouso.
control line flying seems not fun and soo stupid
Don't talk about things you do not understand !
1:40 spanish music jajaja
30 secondes…...tout est dit:/
...just a bunch of flips and flops....i wanted to see crashes of the catastrophic kind....lol
unpleasant person !
Catastrophic ones are much rarer i think and ^ that doesnt make him unplesant
That plane is haulin ass
Some of these guys has too much money and to little skills
nothing but balza breaker
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
pardon ????????????
This is so sad :(
lol
Is just part of the hobby
