  • In this video Ann steps you through THREE PROJECTS using plastic wrap, bubble wrap, and wax paper to create textures. Then Ann demonstrates simple water color techniques to augment the designs. Create great watercolor art on your pottery pieces!
    All pieces were made from Standard English Porcelain No. 365, bisqued to Cone 04, and fired to Cone 5.
    Ann also creates sought after custom mugs that she paints exclusively for individual clients. If you would like to learn how Ann paints - check out her Video Workshop Series here. These workshops are very detailed (typically 1.5 - 2 hours in length) where Ann provides step by step instruction and are designed to help potters take their work to new levels of craftsmanship and artistry. vimeo.com/showcase/6725318
    If you purchase something from these links below, a drummer from an 80's hair band (who is now bald) will come to you in a dream. He will have a tattoo of dice on his neck that is unreadable because it was a cheap tattoo and its now faded. But, back to the point...what was the point? Anyway, if you buy something we might earn enough to buy 1/2 a gallon of gas and drive to grandma's for a cookie.

    There are definitely going to be people that think easy means bad, but I don’t know to me there is probably no better time or place for something that feels authentic than here and now. Part of the comfort in peoples work, maybe even most of it is being able to see their humanity in it.

    Oh, this is so great, Ann. I get itchy fingers when I use underglaze cuz I want to use the same 'painting techniques' from my past jaunt through the faux-finish era. You've taken me by the hand and provoked my itchy fingers to give it a go!!! Thank you.

    I have been waiting till a process really appealed to me before I jump back into the pottery creative exploration. Ann this is IT !!!!!! I am happy about this process and feel I can excel well. I am thankful that you allow other potter's a free opportunity to understand different ways to express ART in pottery. Your videos seem appealing and doable, without disappointment in oneself. It is loose and free, along with breathable and gives solitude to ME. Thank you so very much I appreciate you willingness to provide a free outlet to those who need it.

So, this is truly beautiful, even though at first I thought if this is going to be your first ever flop... and then: VOILA, another masterpiece emerges. Thanks Ann. Love, love, love your work. • @LittleStreetPottery
      @LittleStreetPottery  2 роки тому +2

      Not really - I let the patterns inspire the end result. I did intentionally cut the last shapes into "poppy-ish" shapes thinking I might do a flowery design. That's the cool part- once you do it a couple of times you start to think about adding blue for sky, green for leaves, yellow/brown for earth in certain areas...don't think too much though! The happy accidents are the best!

I'm thinking about selling some of my one of a kinds -- most of mine are one of a kind because when I get a great result I'm afraid to try it again in case it doesn't turn out as well! AND, I like to try different things. Thanks!
