John Cena: I'm retiring for good. Saudi Arabia: Where's my check book?
Samantha had me like "Can you stop all of that and just let them ring the bell please" 😂😂😂😂😂 that botch was funny too
For match?
The part was dumb for me, right before drew music rings, seth pinned damien for the 3 count, cause he didnt bring his shoulder up, everyone were booing there. wtf moment that was..
All this proved to me is that the refs are told the outcomes of each match prior to the actual matches. This makes me look at everything different now.
Seth Rollins was as good in ring as ever. He's just out of shape. Not use to seeing Seth in that kind of shape it was odd.
He’s gotta be hurt. He was looking a bit meaty no diddy.
Gable falling and face planting was easily the highlight of the night for me. I'm glad he's okay but I think I've watched that spot like fifty times already.
Craaaazy bump. Chad is elite.
Totally agree this popped me for sure. Totally loved his segments in the match.
Cena's announcement of retiring kind of killed my mood for the rest of the ppv. 😢
How so ? Cena if we’re being honest has been retired rarely comes back and have a terrible match then leave
@@VegetaSama-r5b Solo pinning Cody to close the show didn't help
@@christophernear6990 Yeah should've ended with the women's MITB match.
It’d be nice to see Survivor Series get some more shine back on it. I’ve had a soft spot for that event going back to my days continuously rewatching the first one on a pirated VHS tape as a kid. Could do Cody and Orton there.
Punk,Orton,Cody,Gunther & Bron breaker are the people I wanna see cena wrestle in 2025
Orton and Punk are definitely musts. I like the other picks too.
I wanna see Grayson, Carmelo, Sami too
For me, I want to see the greatest hits. Punk, Orton, Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, and AJ Styles. Also toss in Cody for a passing of the torch as the headline baby face.
I find it annoying people complaining that they wasted the men's money in the bank briefcase. There has to be failed cash ins every now and then otherwise there would be no stakes or drama for when someone cashes in. If everyone who holds the briefcase won the championship it'd be boring AF.
We didn't need another year of someone holding the briefcase, and neither Cody or Gunther (when he beats Priest) should be losing the title anytime soon via cash in.
The way they used the briefcase tonight furthered the feud between Punk and Drew, and I'm glad they did this rather than give it to a midcarder who's ultimately not world champion material like Jey.
This is pretty much the only right answer
How do you know someone isnt world championship material until they become world champion? You were probably saying the same thing about Priest and now look at how the briefcase helped elevate him and give a moment at. WrestleMania that'll never be forgotten. Same thing can be said about Seth as well
@@OsamayaMomma Seth was always going to be world champion because of his quality in the Shield, and Priest is world champion material because of his size, look, capabilities in the ring, and more.
Jey I don't see as world champion as his match quality, outside of tag teams, is pretty awful. He's good on the mic and can get a crowd rocking, but his match quality is abysmal unless he's in the ring with someone who can carry him to a banger ala Gunther, but even that's hit and miss with him.
@@Schmidt6429busting Jey Uso on match quality when Priest has done a HORRIBLE botch on damn near every PPV he has been champion is hilarious. He didn't kick out of the Falcon Arrow and killed his match last night, last month it was the ridiculous botch where he almost died getting caught up in the ropes. That's world champion material to you? Seriously? Priest has size but is a charisma vacuum on the mic too.
@@jet9385 priest has been excellent. The botch at Clash of the castle wasn't his fault and was a freak occurrence. He's done that move a hundred times and they already confirmed the ropes weren't right at Clash. AJ botched off the ropes and so did Jade that night.
As for Priest tonight, again, not his fault as it was the fault of whoever was meant to play Drew's music. Drew's music was meant to play during the pin, but it didn't. Now Priest probably should've called an audible and kicked out at 2, but him and Seth are both expecting Drew's music to play. The botch is with whoever was tasked with playing Drew's music during the pin, not after.
As for Jey, he jumped into Roman's ribs at SummerSlam. So what? Botches happen. Aside from botches, Jey's awful as all he does is spam superkick more than the bucks. And in promos all he does is go "yeeeeet, yeeet, yeet". You want that as your world champ? A yeeting idiot?
"Makes me wonder if Punk is gonna be the heel when it's all said and done"
YOU DON'T SAY?!??
This all started with Drew injuring him and attacking his injured arm. How’s Punk the villain?
@@philly_sports1558 because he's gone too far at this point, twice showing up in DIFFERENT COUNTRIES, in matches he is not scheduled to be in, to interfere in matches and cheat Drew out of a title, and now he's, unintentionally sure, screwed fan favorite Seth Rollins out of contending for the title (for only like a month yes but we aren't supposed to know that, hypothetically Priest could be champion forever)
Let's keep it 100% real. Stratton is not getting these reactions because of her talent. Especially when she goes overseas.
Watching this review again I literally thought about that if CM punk and Seth Rollins would have had to happen at WrestleMania neither one of them will walk out as world heavyweight champion because of a money in the Bank cash in but watching what happened this weekend, it will be hard to know.
Spot on Solomonster. I have been saying this for years, the MITB concept has ran its course !
What they did tonight was creative, new and furthered a story, what more could fans possibly want ?
The only good reason to keep it around is for ppv's like this and 2 excellent ladder matches however, having a new rising star every year become the next champion when we are in an era of long term champions just doesn't cut it plus one other important thing.. making every new upcoming star a champion by cashing in on a weakened opponent, what good does that do ?
Royal Rumble and now the return of king of the ring work. Money in the bank was originally brilliant but now its time to put it to rest.
I love a multpi person ladder match, great to watch, but what comes after with the same old routine of teasing cash ins then finally cash in is done. Time to change up the format !
funny thing, I did my own be the booker here and got Hart Dinasty vs MMM, Natalya vs Emma and Owen Hart vs A.J. Styles in a fight Pit
I'd love to see a Triple Threat match between Punk, McIntyre and Rollins but Summerslam is not the place for it. I'm thinking they could do it at Survivor Series after Bad Blood where Punk/McIntyre have their third match potentially. Then that Survivor Series match could lead to revisiting the solo feud between Punk and Rollins leading up to WM.
Plus a Triple Threat match between all of them would elevate Survivor Series even further and bring things more full circle given that Punk returned at Survivor Series last year.
I think the botch count will play in the role of the Punk-Drew-Seth storyline.
Exactly. WWE is a machine. They know how to flip sht and make it make sense.
Not the biggest fan of burying the briefcase like that. Especially because WWE has already pulled the “Punk screws Drew” finish TWICE already before. In kayfabe, why would Drew be surprised that Punk came out to screw him again? Their series of matches should be great but they’ve sacrificed a lot to get there.
I mean who was going to benefit from the briefcase?
Jey is going to enter the bloodline feud in a few months.
La Knight is still feuding with Logan Paul
Gable is entering a feud with the Wyatt 6.
The rest are irrelevant.
So it makes sense for McIntyre to get the briefcase and for it to heighten his feud with Punk. This feud is white hot. You can feel how personal it is for both sides.
Because he murdered Punk two weeks ago and thought he's good to go.
Triple h always goes with the most obvious safest option I want unpredictability sometimes get a new booker
@wingadept8793 I disagree with your logic. Jey Uso is on Raw, so I’m not so sure why people are so certain he’ll be apart of this bloodline segment. He’s over with the fans, why not reward him by having him win. Also the briefcase lasts over a year. There doesn’t need to be a reason to rush a cash-in. Which is why McIntrye winning and losing it in one night was a fckin waste. Ppl saying how Punk screwing him with the cash-in fail further set up their SS match is idiotic. Considering everyone already knew we were getting them together for SS. This fail cash-in didn’t need to happen. Their Summerslam match was essentially already set.
I remember very vividly last year everyone wanted LA Knight to win and when Priest won ppl were saying how he’s not main even material and he won’t win the title. He waited a long time to cash in and it paid off. I don’t get ppl’s logic with having a wasted cash-in is better than someone holding it and having them teasing the possibility.
All the kids I knew who watched wrestling were big Cena fans but I never was. I preferred the the great in ring workers even as a kid. Even more so now. I acknowledge his success and importance to the company and fans but not gonna pretend I'm all of a sudden a big fan because he's retiring now.
B- show but the results were lame and predictable as fuck. A weird show in that way. Sami winnin over breakker clean was fuckin terrible
Another BANGER review solomonster 😎👊🏽
Paul vs Knight or Drew vs Punk should main event SummerSlam not Solo vs Chody
The briefcase was fine my problem will be if DREW loses to Punk, but of course he will
This show had more bad than good, in my opinion. The pinfall botch with Seth & Priest was embarrassingly bad
Triple h is overrated
Do away with money in the bank it's getting old
Gable mvp of the match
good review
I have 0 interest in Jey Uso. I think his wrestling is not very good and I find his character and catchphrases to be annoying. I get why he's popular and I don't fault anyone for being a fan of his but it ain't me.
Well the finish to summerslam is official, Cody is retaining against solo. Months out & it’s already predictable. This title reign has unbearably meaningless/boring. 0 intrigue
Id love to see cody stirring to try to get jacob fatu to breakoff and go ballistic
Please stop watching wrestling. You are unappeasable
So that means you won’t be watching Summer Slam?
Triple h booking 0 intrigue
@@ronniesouthern7829 I’ll watch I just tend to turn it off or go on my phone during the predictable stuff (Cody/)

Solomonster I've been listening to you since 2013, I'm glad to see your channel thriving.
What streaming service/program do you use for your layout?
Not a service, per se, but I use Photopea to do all my work in.
@@TheSolomonster appreciate it!
How much bigger has Solo gotten since 2013? No offended but if he’s been doing this for over 10 years, you’d think he’d be a lot bigger by now 🧐
@holdmyweight3597 That's hate speak, the dude has been doing his thing. He's actually one of 3 wrestling guys that I actually listen to. Again, shout out Solomonster, keep doing your thing.
Kudos to you Solomonster, you predicted this show perfectly. Especially what happened with the cash in, it went exactly how you said. I thought of you right away when I saw what went down.
I’m starting to think he’s better than JD 🧐
As soon as Drew came out with the briefcase, I knew he was losing. Yes, I know it would be poetic if someone interrupted Seth's title match and stole the win. Yes, I know they want to advance the grudge between Seth and Punk. I just wish doing those two things didn't involve Drew looking like a goof again.
i'm not crazy about Drew losing again, but at least if he had done everything in his power to increase his chances of winning, short of running over Punk in the NXT parking lot, I could say they put all their effort into making it look like he was an inch away from winning the title. But he never even got that close, as far as I'm concerned. And that's frustrating as a fan. Not even of Drew necessarily. A guy who risked everything to get that briefcase, has been stalked by Punk for way too long, and has been drooling over being champ again, should be a lot smarter. I'm really concerned about how Drew's character looks lately. He isn't stupid, so please stop treating him like he is. Dolph was smart enough to have Drew watch his back way back when, why can't Drew have a shieldmaiden? Or better yet a thick chick actually named Angela? Punk shouldn't keep getting the drop on the guy.
The writers made Drew out to be a complete moron. I don’t know if they want us to believe he’s an idiot or they’re trying to turn him babyface by giving him sympathy. This has to be the absolute worst cash-in attempt ever.
The ref stopping his count on account of music playing is a STUPID plan anyway. I know they've done it before, (Sting 2014) but it makes no sense. Noise doesn't stop a clean cover with the shoulders on the mat. IF that was the idea I hope they learned to NEVER DO THAT AGAIN.
Great review, Solomonster. I'm just curious, Randy Orton beating Stevie Richards for the World Heavyweight Championship at Summerslam in 2004? Not recognizing Chris Benoit?
You missed the memes from years ago. For shame.
@@TheSolomonster Maybe I need to get some wisdom and go under the learning tree 🌳
"Person who should win in the story won but is not who I wanted to win so PLE bad" - impulsive wrestling fans feeling post one of the best MITB ppvs wwe has ever had.
It was ok u guys are overrating the shit out of it drinking that prime triple h koolaid
Seth Rollins will get a title shot at summerslam
No. It will be Solo vs Cody. Hence why he pinned him.
@@savagereaper6291 he will be in a triple threat with priest and Gunther, claiming he never got pinned. And he will work his way into the match. Since he technically never got pinned
@@TheReelAnalyst That ain't gonna happen. They are not having him lose two title matches back to back.
We go from HBK and Hogan main eventing SummerSlam to cody and solo wow how far this company has fallen holy shit
I knew it was going to happen sooner or later, but I'm still bummed out hearing that Cena's going to retire next year, he was a huge part of my teenage years, filling in void as my favorite wrestler when The Rock left for Hollywood. I'm happy for Stratton winning MITB. I'm baffled as to why Breakker v Zayn wasn't a squash match with Breakker going over and having a Goldberg like run as IC Champion.
I dont think Solo can take credit for predicting the Punk interference. I think 95% of people saw it coming. Probably the right decision but the complete paint by numbers approach that HHH follows makes a lot of PLEs nothing more than filler.
Well go start your own channel and do your own predictions. If you think it’s so easy tough guy
How do you butcher a f****** theme song is worse as bron breaker😂 again
Cody vs. Orton should take place at WrestleMania if they end up going with Rock vs. Roman next year.
Cena's last match has to be Breakker.
Michael Cole: "..Gable, German suplexing the 🪜 onto Endrade,, shades of Cactus Jack there...."
John Cena vs Gunther.... make it happen.
Solomonster's reaction to having to face Goldberg last week. And now Tyrus ruins Be The Booker this week...Solo's reaction was hilarious 😂
Solomonster does the best reviews. I don't have peacock so I don't watch the ple's. I won't be getting Netflix so I am counting on his great reviews for Raw. Thanks Solomonster.
I got you covered 👊
Zero interference in the Men's MITB was surprising. Sami beat Bron clean?! Now that's another shocker. I knew Drew would cash in and Punk would screw Drew again with Priest pinning Drew. But what happened with Priest not kicking out of that Falcon Arrow? I think we are getting Seth as the special guest referee for Drew vs Punk at SummerSlam.
Yeah who was it that thought Logan Paul would interfere in the match to cost LA Knight (Yeah!) the match??
To the IWC that complained that they wasted the MITB on Drew, it was gonna be a failed cash in for anyone else in that match too.
Gunther and Cody are gonna be holding their titles for a long time. If Melo or Gable had won mitb and failed, wouldn't y'all be complaining "oh they buried them" "oh what a waste of the mitb because he failed and didn't win the title."
Facts
Really fun wrestling show last night. Didn't watch MITB though.
Drew really needs to stay away from that briefcase. Twice its been cashed in on him and when he tries to do it,Punk costs him.
Great night I thought, I really liked the main event, the crowd was hot there even after all the crazy bumps and moments and pops and all that
I didn't expect Bron to get pinned clean, they also didn't have a lot of chemistry idk why
I expected at least one interference in the Men's MITB match, Punk, Wyatts, Logan, anything anyone but no, so that was surprising, Cena retiring I don't know how to react to that, ig we'll see
I'm kinda tired of ladder matches but at least the winners of them matter
The two things I didn't like about the main event was that ref clearly saw Solo hitting him so that should've been a DQ, accidental or not it doesn't matter, and the second thing is that when they do the hot tag they usually just do a couple moves to the legal guy imstead of bumping eveyone, but that's just a nit-pick
Overall I enjoyed it
thats BUSH league Solo Sucks
Pissing away the briefcase in an attempt to further the Drew McIntyre and CM Punk story was one of the worst creative decisions Paul Levesque-McMahon has ever made. It was completely necessary. Also, the point about it needed to happen to involve Seth Rollins is complete bullshit. Seth Rollins is not needed for this feud and there is already enough heat between CM Punk and Seth Rollins to have a feud after Drew McIntyre. Solomonster is just speaking out his ass. If Vince McMahon did this, people would be shitting all over it. Stop giving Paul Levesque-McMahon a pass for poor creative decisions. He is just too lazy and uninspired to come up with better creative ideas. Also, even though Tiffany Stratton winning was the correct decision, she really doesn't need it to earn a championship opportunity. Once again, Paul Levesque-McMahon is just too lazy and uninspired to come up with a more creative way to do so.
I actually agree. There’s already enough heat to the Punk/Drew feud considering that Punk has already cost Drew the belt TWICE before this and Drew has already beaten up Punk multiple times. Their series of matches better be incredible considering they sacrificed the MITB concept and Drew’s hometown win for it.
The placement of those tables was picture perfect, her landing was spot on ! Kudos to Chelsea for taking that spot.
Edge will return for a match with Cena
2:32:22 Solomonster bringing out his inner Marlin Brando.
If you’re ever having a bad day just remember. Solomonster has been streaming since 2007 and his career has barely changed since.
I thought that men's MITB match was great! I wasn't a fan of any of the other matches. Wasn't a fan of that Sami finish, checked out of that Damian match after he didn't kick out. That women's MITB match was a mess. Idk
I did watch Bret vs Sid at In Your House right after. That match was amazing. I recommend 👍🏼
2:11:00. @Solomonster Sounds Off. Remember when I said Solomonster at the end of TNT episode Number 55 not to say the chat is weird until a Demeter Bullian superchat comes through? Watching and listening to this back this moment made me fall out of my chair laughing! Ask JD for a translation on what that superchat means LOL. Great Review!
When the ref got knocked out I thought the viper was going to strike cody, they didn't pull that trigger.
2016 was the last decent MITB PPV
Tiffanized MITB LFG
he is no where close to the greatest.
Triple H is way too much of a Flair mark to let Cena get to 17.
That Chelsea green spot was aew-rific. I had flashbacks to when Dante broke his leg. A bit more and she would’ve hit her head on the barricade.
Overall the show was a let down, botchy too.
This MITB make me a complainer. The mens match was great until Drew hit Jey with the ladder. Drew winning was a waste. Bron should of been protected. Was Damians best match. Botch aside. Feel bad for both him and Seth. The Women match was good. But there were a few spots where even the casually fans watching with me pointed it out. Im just tired of the ref bump booking. Make these matches no DQ
imo, the women's mitb showed the women's lack of ability and skill with ladders. The men doing the ladder spots were hitting pretty flush, but the women were so off in spots.
When Tiff did the Alabama slam on Naomi on the ladder, Naomi's lower back nailed the corner of the ladder well before the rest of her back hit it. Stark nailing her head on the corner of the ladder when she did here flip over the rope on Lyra. Those were the ones that stood out most, but I'm sure there's more I can't remember right now.
Seth vs priest was mostly a borefest with both idiots looking up at the stage constantly for Drew cashing in. Yeah cause in storyline he’s gonna cash in while you’re still up & fighting 😂
At least you admit that you are a complainer
I agree with you and I don’t get why Solomonster is so against it. All this did was make Drew look like a complete moron (I blame the writers but still)

Eventhough i would of Loved to see Iyo sky Win Back to back MITB ladder matches.. unfortunately Tiffany had it on Lock.. or Chelsea since this was in 🇨🇦 but at the same time. I hope Triple H has a bigger story for Iyo down the road with Not only DAMAGE CTRL breaking up..a Babyface Turn being teased and Potentially Going back to her Version Of NXT. Only Difference is the name.. Io shirai not Iyo sky. But Just like Sheamus.. she's also In the chase for the Grand slam... She only needs the Title that Liv has.. and Rhea will chase when she gets back.. that's a story im interested in 👀👀
as for the rest of DAMAGE CTRL. Idk what they'll do with Dakota.. she's been asking for an opportunity. But i feel like WWE Hasn't given her a Major push because of the Major problem that Dakota has. And this is the same problem that. Other talented people like Nikkita Lyons. Cora Jade and Tegan nox have
Especially Nikkita and Cora who everytime she gets going. She gets hurt and It cost Cora a run with the NXT Women's title and Losing her Role to Perez which is. She's super Injury Prone..
Kairi not sure.. and Asuka will be out for the rest of 25. So i hope HHH has a major plan for Iyo. Down the road 🤞🤞🤞🖤
If only Cena would wait a couple more months and have his final match at WM 42 instead of December 2025. Cena's last match is Wrestlemania worthy. I really hope they have a BIG PPV dedicated to him in place for December of 2025 instead of some random Raw/Smackdown episode since that will be his last match it seems. Now the questions are where should his final match take place and who should it be against? Do they drag the story of Cena trying to win world title win 17 until his last match where he does win it? Does he win the title at WM 41 and hold it until his last match where the one who beats him retires him too?
Rock vs Roman, Cena vs Punk, Cody vs Orton is the way for wrestlemania
I got all my MITB predictions correct. Anticlimactic ending to MITB. I don't like having only 5 matches every PPV. There better be almost double that for SummerSlam.
Quality vs Quantity. And predictable isn't always bad.
@@MrNax360 Problem is everything this year has been predictable
@@kevinlee9929 A lot has but not everything. The build up for WrestleMania with the Rock/Cody stuff was unpredictable.
@@MrNax360 Once the match was announced it was predictable that The Bloodline would win Night 1 and then Cody would "Finish The Story" Night 2. Some predictable is OK. But it's getting TOO predictable.
@@kevinlee9929 Right but I think online leaks and news outlets ruin a lot of the fun and speculation. Not everyone is a smart mark fan so we're the minority. Seeing it actually play out is another thing as well and not all of it is as predictable as you say.
No. I'm sorry about the Money in the Bank booking is one of the most aggregavating things HHH has done.
You have Jey Uso and L A Knight who have sustained monster reactions for over a year now. How many times are you going to have the two of them go after titles and accolades and fail?
LA Knight went after MITB, WWE championship, King of the Ring and now MITB again. And everytime he's failed. But it's alright because "He's going for the US title". Fuck the US title. Who gives a fuck? Just imagine for a second it was Vince instead of HHH. People would rip apart this booking.
And for what? So we can run back the same angle we've seen twice in 4 months with McIntyre and Punk?
What do Jey Uso and LA knight need to do at this point? Go to the Avengers compound, steal the time machine, go back in time and ensure they're born in Austria. Put a wrestling hitler gimmick on and just chop people all the time?
YEAH!
John Cena has provided wrestling fans with plenty of memorable matches, storylines, and promos. His work with the Make-A-Wish foundation is also worth mentioning. I've enjoyed some of his movie roles as well. He'll definitely be missed.
Solomoster always the voice of reason and sanity in IWC (who are usually known for being brain-dead).
I was hoping for Chelsea Green to win ms Money in bank 😢
I considered Cena retired when he debuted his new finisher of doom: The Lightning Fist ⚡ 👊
Show was ok. Men’s ladder was fine but relatively short, Sami & Bron was the best match of the night, priest vs Seth was a borefest just to set up a better feud even further-though running the same screw job angle is redundant especially back to back ppvs, priest imo is done in my book, the dude sucks. Women’s ladder was a car wreck it got better towards the end, & that 6 man was honestly a Smackdown main event.
Solid Review
Chad gamble is the best wrestler in the business right now if you put
gymnastics to the side.
I wonder how many questioning the logic of the Seth/Damian (and then Drew) match are in the same camp gushing over the Wyatt Sicks and getting bent out of shape towards those who dislike that whole gimmick? 😂

It will be nice to not have that briefcase lingering throughout the year for the guys this time around.
It wasn't that Drew cashed in and failed that bothered me, it was that he didn't wait until the end of the match to do it. Just seemed so stupid that he put himself in a Triple Threat situation with no DQ rather than just wait to have a quick and eaay one on one with the winner of the match who would've been exhausted by then. Yeah, I know none of it's real and it's only a scripted TV show and it was done specfically so they could have Punk interfere and screw McIntyre thanks to the no DQ rule (and also generate heat between Punk and Rollins too because of the stipulation Rollins has with Priest), but it still made McIntyre look like a complete doofus in my opinion.
It actually makes sense that Drew cashed in before the match ended. Drew made it clear that he will be cashing in that night, something Rollins and Priest were aware of. Waiting for the match to end gives the winner a chance to get away before Drew gets a chance to cash in.
