When he said "It won't happen again I swear. And if it does, at least next time I'll yell "fore!" or something, huh?" the look Bobby Sr. gives him is that he instantly knows not only that it was bound to happen again, but that killing him is the right call.
Well, the first bullet still went into his head & brain didn't it? It just did not do enough damage to kill him or incapacitate him completely on the spot, but maybe it still did enough damage to his brain or maybe cerebellum to make him a lot weaker, so he was struggling to overpower the old man and tried to reach for his own gun instead. That's what I am thinking at least.
@@ll2240 Having his ear shot off still would have caused a lot of shock and panic. A friend's uncle dropped a hammer action 12 bore (gauge) shotgun into a metal gate, one of the hammers caught and one barrel discharged - it blew his ear clean off! He did not like the experience!

I just learnt through UA-cam of Burt Young's passing and came back to watch this scene. Great acting!
I really liked Fucking Greaseball You, I wish they did more with his character.
yea, they should have done a bit more with him, filmed in his little bodega, had Jackie Jr. disrespect the heck out of it. Chris should've been given his soft drinks of choice as tribute too.
Lol
LMFAO, LMFAO
I also wanted to see a few episodes with The Lady Whose House It Is.
@@sskumariyer I liked the chair as well .It had good style as a shield
1:32 Bobby Sr.'s cough disappearing from this point up until the first shot fails to kill Sally has to be the result of adrenaline.
His cough hurts me
pussy
Jaime Olivera your mom probably is tho
Nate Ward Shut the fuck up
Thats the realest cough Ive ever heard
Burt Young doesn't play around!
His face after he lights it up and takes a drag, fckn priceless.
I’ve never smoked in my life !!!
Makes me actually wonder , after this scene - have I missed out on something ?
Bla ha ha !!!!!
@@rudeawakening3833 Don't smoke lmao it ain't worth it
Bacala Sr. really was the Terminator!)
Seriously. Bacala Sr. was the OG from hell and this clip proves it!
Sally and his sidekick snickered behind uncle Bobby’s back like he deserved no respect. They had no idea they’re were staring death in the face
I wanted to see the Robot from Rocky V make a cameo during the struggle
Spookrockcity or his apron from the meat plant hanging in the kitchen.
The robot was in Rocky IV.

Underrated comment 😂😂😂
I love the grunting at 3:23. Makes it sound so real.
As a former smoker, I could feel how much he enjoyed that celebratory cig
As a current smoker I agree with your statement
It would be like an after sex or food smoke
😂
@@Thefunkywormthose cigarettes after a big meal are the best desserts.
Uncle Bobby went out in a true blaze of glory mafia style. It was a good death for the character and Burt Young was amazing in this. One of the best one and done or short appearances on the show.
RIP Burt Young. I loved his roles and uncle paulie and Bobby Bacala Sr.
Carlo reverting to a child-like state begging for his life was morbid as hell.
4 real
"YE HEH HEHHH"
Realistic
@@noahboat580 heh heh heh. heh.
Made the kill more enjoyable for old man baccala too.
I wish they had more scenes with Bobby Sr
Burt Young absolutely killed this character. The coughing is so realistic
Love the way he says "c'man.. c'man... anymore smart remarks??"
Ya f**** grease ball ya 😂😂
Loved this episode. Between this scene, bacala sr’s coughing and the car accident, this was definitely one of the most brutal episodes in the whole series
Damn, that was some fine acting. I seriously believed Bobby Sr. at every minute with his coughing and wheezing, yet he's still strong enough to fight that guy on the table and finish off the guy hiding behind the chair. Excellent work. Such is the plight of a working man, working until his last breath, even if his job is killing people.
doing a quick redec for the owner..!
Kudos to the sound design team. You have no idea how many layers of sound you just listened to.

I love the acting choice that Burt made @3:07 with him being so gitty and happy
When he said "It won't happen again I swear. And if it does, at least next time I'll yell "fore!" or something, huh?" the look Bobby Sr. gives him is that he instantly knows not only that it was bound to happen again, but that killing him is the right call.
Bobby Bacala was such a badass that he killed two guys half his age, while battling, and later losing with cancer. Talk about a legend...
Why did mustang sally, go for his gun? He couldn’t overpower a terminally ill senior citizen with both hands?
Well, the first bullet still went into his head & brain didn't it? It just did not do enough damage to kill him or incapacitate him completely on the spot, but maybe it still did enough damage to his brain or maybe cerebellum to make him a lot weaker, so he was struggling to overpower the old man and tried to reach for his own gun instead. That's what I am thinking at least.
@@jacobski7216 no. Clipped his ear off
@@ll2240 Having his ear shot off still would have caused a lot of shock and panic.
A friend's uncle dropped a hammer action 12 bore (gauge) shotgun into a metal gate, one of the hammers caught and one barrel discharged - it blew his ear clean off! He did not like the experience!
Being Sonny Reds Son, I expected more from a Bonanno.
@@powertrioagency5795 I agree but I suspect that Bruno only had his place in the family because of his dad.
Rest in peace you absolute legend ☹
I knew this guy could act more than he did in Rocky...respect !
That’s some 10/10 acting right there. The way he made the cough sounded like complete suffering.
The desperation in the Hispanic character was brilliant, trying to cover himself with a chair for some sort of protection from the bullet knowing it won’t work
Lmfao I love the first line he says here “what more fuckin stairs” my tough as nails Irish grandma talked like this stairs are an old persons number one enemy 😂
an OG with nothin' to lose. respect.
that “oh what the fuck!” takes me out every time 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂same
Baccala/Mustang Sally and Tony/Ralphie are the 2 best kills in the series. No glamorizing the violence or cinematic endings, just primal urges to kill/live
One of the best acted scenes in the Sopranos… Burt Young did so many small things that added so much to the character
Screen presence fantastic. Correct
Considering what Sally did, this was way too quick a death!
Should have let Ralphy take him apart at the joints while conscious
01:48 Famous last words to killer before being shot:
“Are you all right?”
As a person who has suffered from respiratory problems I can say that this is truly great acting
This scene was filmed so well. so tense, thinking Bobby Senior is gonna accidentally fumble and drop the gun, and fudge the hit, etc. So much tension in this scene. I was on the edge of my seat and had to pause it to soak up the excitement/fear
If only the guy stayed in his room like sally said he’d still be alive.
Nah ...a true hit man would've gone into the room to take care of the witness.
Sleep with dogs ...you get fleas.
He was stupid for charging, he should've just pushed the old man on the floor
Paulie knew rocky would be home soon.
The end of this scene with him making all those noises and waving his arms around always cracks me up
RIP Burt...Thanks for all of the roles and movies you where in.....
3:13 I wish they would’ve done more with that chair who got whacked, my fav character
That chair had the makings of a Varsity Ass Cushion
Classic line
3:13 That weezy laugh always gets me, like he's thinking "Yeah, I'm still a bad ass."
I love how I can search for "sopranos scene where they sent an old man to kill that guy" and YT immediately brings me the correct result.
RIP, Burt. It's sad when they go Young.
