9:36 i really need to practice this skill. The team was in a skinny hallway so we had to be in single file. A suspect poped out and hit my teamate and he was bleeding. Without thinkink i tried to shoot over the shoulder of my point but instead of doing that i just shot right through point at the suspect, i still got the suspect tho.
Hallways are dangerous because everything becomes compressed, like the team's sectors of fire, coverage, mobility, and positioning. Threats have a higher chance of landing a bullet down a narrow hallway that is stacked with teammates, while only the front of the stack has the cleanest/safest shot on the threat. It can be tricky to deal with, especially if point man is not able to deal with the threat immediately. If you are playing with buddies, train the point man to crouch when taking contact in hallways, and train the rest of the stack to verbalize to point to stay down until they say it's clear to stand. This will create different vertical sectors of fire, since you can't spread wide.

Hello! Firstly would love to say this is an awsome video explaining CQB. Your terms were clear and concise and a great example of CQB for anyone at any level. I am actually the Map maker for this shoot house and would love to put your video up on nexus with your permission ofc. Its really awesome to see people running through and using it for that its meant for. you definitely have earned yourself a SUB!
@@lcobra First, thank you for the banger map. I'm also a mod creator, but only experienced in audio, retextures, and AI. I've been waiting for a nice shoothouse map for a while, and was considering learning to make maps to get one. And second, you are more than welcome to use this video on nexus. Third, the first time I saw the mission notes on the podium I was weak af.
@@silvadagga lmao the mission notes are a little inside joke from a bud ill be sure to let him know its been making people laugh! keep up the great work and ill definitely add this amazing video to the showcase. Also hey if you are looking to make maps I'd highly recommend it, it's a slight learning curve but very enjoyable experience especially when you hear all the kind words people say! Thank you again for downloading and the awesome video.
Very helpful video. Thank you so much. I think I knew most of it due to "common sense", but it really helped me reinforce it and learn some new terms. I will have a video to share with my friends whenever I play with them now. Thank you Silva! :]
@@GreyVWilk Thanks dude! I wanted to share the things I've learned about CQB in a condensed/simplified video, since CQB can get very technical at times. Whether someone is new to these CQB concepts or has real life CQB experience, I hope the video brought value.
I have a few mod videos cooked up next, just need time to edit. Hope yall got something useful out of this guide!
