Anyone ELSE loves Lavendaire’s voice?!!! I love it. It’s so nice and soothing. I like the 5 second rule. I totally agree, giving ourselves too much time to think may result in talking ourselves out of it. Great video, as always! Thank you Lavendaire!! -From a self-love content creator to another, you’re AWESOME!! ❤️

*People only focus on external goals.. money, cars, degree, jobs...*
Reward jourself in the journey whenever you achieve internal goals as well! A day of inner peace, being grateful for something small or helping other people!

  • @amrin3457
    @amrin3457 3 роки тому +35

    1. *Start small:* pick 1 habit and build up slowly or pick 2 nonnegotiable daily habits to focus on
    2. *5 second rule:* act on the habit within 5 secs so that you don’t think for too long and talk yourself out of it
    3. *Make it easy and convenient:* remove all obstacles and excuses like by increasing your proximity to the object like keeping a water bottle on your desk to drink more
    4. *Keep a habit tracker:* start with the most important ones you want to track everyday and keep that up
    5. *Stay consistent before scaling up:* if daily feels like too much start with 2 or 3 times a week and build up to daily
    6. *Remember your why:* constantly remind yourself of why you’re doing it and what it will bring to your life
    7. *Reevaluate and readjust:* like trial and error, determine what’s working and what’s not and how you can make the habit stick
    8. *Get accountability:* tell your friends or post on social media because when you know other people know, you’ll feel more obligated to do it
    9. *Identify yourself with the habit:* step into the mindsets and the behavior will follow, say you are “the type of person to -“ or I’m a - person”
    10. *You only fail when you stop trying:* if you miss one day that’s ok you can bounce back, but missing 2 or 3 is the start of a negative feedback loop; also
    11. *Reflect and reassess:* ask if you stopped because it was too hard or too much to readjust and try again or ask how can I do it better
    12. *Be gentle with yourself:* any habit will take time and patience; if you fall, pick yourself back up

I overwhelm myself by trying to create so many habits. It’s not the best idea to do that .....like you said pick one or two non negotiable ones and stick to it. Also be kind to yourself if it’s not completed. (As I type this a notification came in from your email list about habits...hahaha) My two are definitely drink water daily....and to purge , so writing....or anything to get stuff out of my mind. I also have to read or watch something good for my spirit because I watch so much junk tv. I also set habits for grad school....all of those are non negotiable. Thank you Aileen...almost at 1million girl!!!🙏🏽💕

"You only fail when you stop trying" YESYESYES. I totally agree! I hit a rut two days ago and I told myself that what matters is taking action.
My habit is also journaling! Two weeks ago I was put in a fast paced environment and I kept my emotions in check with journaling. It helped a lot and still helps to this day!

I get overwhelmed very easily, (due to my anxiety and sensory processing disorder and being on the Autism spectrum). I have started working with a life coach who has been helping me getting into better habits that I have been trying to get into for ages on my own. I am mainly struggling with consistent personal hygiene, keeping things neat and organized, trying to set a routine for myself with a consistent sleep schedule and wake up time, working out regularly, eating more healthy and going out and socializing. I also am getting into the habit of meditating regularly which is helping me a lot! I notice that I am improving, it is a slow process but I am moving forward! I am only focusing on a couple of these things I listed right now of course. My life coach taught me about habit stacking and I am going to try it to see if it will help push me ahead faster.

This is honestly so great for people with chronic illnesses.
I know that just bullet journaling in the morning with my needs and making tea every morning are two small habits I've been forming, and honestly they've helped me feel so much less stressed, and even falling off for a day or two, getting back into it is a super easy goal.

5 second rule... I think I have been doing this instinctively, because I've been a chronic procrastinator, so I'll do stuff right away instead, and it's been so helpful! I used Low frequency & being gentle with myself in trying to build my daily exercise habits and that has been the most effective for me too. thanks for sharing all these tips! I gotta start using these in other areas, like I've been wanting to clean more regularly, to become a person that cleans regularly.

I am going to be honest, I've literally seen this video a billion times on UA-cam and this is by far the best advice I've received. I love your videos because they encourage us to be kinder to ourselves at the same time forcing us to move outside of our comfort zones. I am working on setting habits and routines for myself and it is not easy. I've fallen and felt like a failure but I am encouraged by your videos to keep going and to remember that it's going to take a little time. Thank you so much for your work, it really makes a difference. Also I absolutely love the editing in this video, totally cool.

I starting stream writing daily a few weeks ago and it really does help. I'll write when I first wake up and even if I don't have anything to write but I know there's something blocked in my thoughts, 'll literally write "I don't have anything to write but I know there's something blocked in my thoughts" and anything that my mind is conversing until I figure out what it is. Een if it takes a couple of days to get it out, it comes to me eventually. Ahh...the power of writing.

Thank you for sharing!!! My main habit has to do with OWNING who I really want to be right now...before it's too late. It's hard because I feel I have sabotaged myself a bit and created a life I do not want. I am extremely influenced by others around me and started to live the life others wanted for me. I try to do exercises everyday that put me in the positive mindset to achieve my dreams. It's hard. Because I have a pre-set idea of who I supposed to be, an idea that was passed down to me and I so willingly accepted. I feel that because I make the choice to NOT own who I truly am, I hurt others around me. It's like, I am not loving myself and therefore I can not give the love I have inside me. I'm turning 30 this year, so I am trying my hardest to get down to what I truly want to work for and be. To visualize a future I am proud of. Thank you for your constant inspiration!

I started to work on my studying habit. My goal is to study every day at least for 2 minutes. This way, I hope the repetition helps me to form the habit faster. And because I stop myself before I loose motivation, I connect positiv feelings with studying. I am at day 8. And it worked great so far because I don’t resist it. most of the time I study more than 10 minutes and I hope to increase the length over time.

I enjoy this new style as well as the old one. Variety is nice. :) Loving your new hair style. The colour is gorgeous and suits you very well. This was very needed for me so I'm going to focus on a habit I've been building recently to call my family often. In the past I went for weeks or months before calling or seeing my family, and it made me quite guilty even though anxiety was at the core of it. I started by focusing on how I would feel after I called them, how they would feel and focusing on the positives rather than the negatives. Then when I started calling them, I started with shorter calls and built up to longer ones. Now I'm fine with hour long calls with them but I sometimes forget to call, or I remember after they go to bed (I'm usually a night owl and they're early sleepers). Another habit I've been getting back into is using a planner to plan out what needs doing, so I add call family into it and that usually reminds me to call.

Thank you for the wonderful video Aileen. When you’re a detailed person it starts to get overwhelming when you’re not in a great mindset & you start struggling to get things done.. I like your gentle approach as well as all the tips you have. Sending you good vibes x

Something I want to focus on from now on is meditation 🧘‍♀️ I’ve only tried it a few times, but I believe that if I make it a habit a few times a week, everything else in my life will begin to be more clear and I will be a more positive person 😊
Thanks for your engaging and informational videos! Make all your goals happen ❤️

I like how your self-development videos are not just those plain sit down videos. Incorporating different footages helps to jazz up the video and make it more enjoyable! Can I also say that your voice kinda resembles Michelle Phan's soothing voice?! Btw Liah Yoo brought me to your channel and now I'm a subbie! :D
