Why in the world is Robert Morse not a household name? He's brilliant in this movie. A cross between Jerry Lewis, Michael J. Fox and Dick Van Dyke. I saw "How To Succeed In Business...." for the first time today. I still can't get over how great he was in that film. I think it's awesome that he's still working too! Team Robert Morse!
My favorite song ever. Robert Morse was remarkable! No other generation would ever surpass Robert's finest performance. He really bright my day every time I hear him sing.
Oh, this is so wonderful! I saw the play on Broadway when I was mostly a child (my mother took me to everything), and--for a movie--this scene amazingly reproduces the effect of the stage version. It is just amazing. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
If you're wondering why this song is labeled as the reprise, it's because Rosemary already sung a shorter version of this eariler in the film. Also, there's about 8 songs that did not make the film version from the original, such as Happy to Keep His Dinner Warm and Paris Original. If you see this film, you'll also find that the storyline is partially different as well.
@ret36law i dont know, when i watched this, it felt to me like he was trying to reassure himself with a pep talk, by repeating to himself what he's heard someone else say. it's a pretty common thing to do in stressful situations, and made me empathize with his character. this is my favorite scene in the entire movie.
no lie, when i saw this movie, i looked at the intirior design and immidietly thought, "HOLY SHIT! WE TIME TRAVLED! THIS IS SO FUCKING 60'S/70'S!" hahahahahahahha.
They're all singing about how much they want to stop him from climbing any further up the business ladder...... and they're doing it right in front of him. He doesn't seem to notice or care.

James Collins, Not to mention that he's a genius about using his eyes.

i luurrv this song!!!
This song is beautiful, I can't believe that such a crazy dude (Robert Morse) could sing like that
I just got done playing Finch, and this was one of my favorite songs to sing :) It was so fun!
It's a good movie. When I think about it, this is probably what Mad Men would look like if it was a comedy musical.
at times, it is a comedy musical
THE COMPANY WAY - love that!
Love this movie. I insisted on seeing the Broadway Show for that reason.

@ChachiTelevision1979 that's because it's a parody of that time period.
Is this what goes on inside a men's washroom?
DizzyPrincess92 IRL, it's quieter than a library.
i have to take it from 2:56 to 3:32 for my class solo
@artworkbyeddy
It's not so much a comedy as just a story with an era as the focal point.
@artworkbyeddy
Wait...I said comedy. I meant parody.
