Love it!!! I have OCD so I have to keep everything organized....but in all reality....this is sooo helpful to all because a clean organized home saves time from looking for things and just makes ya feel better!!!
My dad made me a large coat holder, and we use our coat closet like you do, the vacuum is there, and the steam mop. I also have a shoe bag on the door for all gloves, scarfs, and the dog leashes. I have multiple handled bags that I fold and they all sit in a single bag. We also have extra small water proof blankets in the top for going out, to the beach, or the park. Next find for me will be to find a way to organize the baseball hats that seem to be taking over the top of the coat rack!

I also use a shoe organizer for hats, gloves and scarves. My kids have them in their closets for all kinds of things besides shoes. Such a versatile organizing tool,
That is exactly how my mom organized our gloves when I was a kid ... a tried and true system! I totally agree about not having kids hang coats in the closet. Even I wouldn't be able to stand having to put my coat on a hanger every time I come inside!

I love the idea....my front hall cloest is slightly larger but has a bi-fold door so I don't think the shoe holder idea would work....I'm going to have to think about this. Funny thing too is that although we have many hats, mitts and scarves we all seem to gravitate to our favourites and wear them over and over. Love the idea of the bag for the car, we live in Alberta, Canada and I am alway nervous about getting stranded in -40 degrees weather.
ditto....I too love your hair in this video...................OK!!! I have one tiny closet in my bedroom. No other closet in the entire apartment. My kitchen in it entirety is on one wall. I'm an artist and crafter which is slowly coming to an end because of my health...which, I have fibromyalgia, COPD, had two major falls and now have trouble standing up let alone walking. I can not clean...my oven or anything below my knees (because I can't bend) I can't clean any area that is above my head since my legs will barely support me and can't climb on a step stool to reach. I have 4 book shelves that were given to me. they are old and falling apart. I have no cupboards. When I moved in here 10 years ago, there was an old buffet that really isn't a buffet...it was left in here when the person before me moved out. I use it to put some of my food. One of the book shelves I use to keep my dishes, and some tupperware. right next to it is a second bookshelf I keep pots and pans. I have an older printer table that was used for 'spreadsheets' that has a broken leg so it's turned upside down and I use it to put my microwaveoven on next to that is a small utility cart that I have that hold glasses, bowls and on top I have two storage bins that I keep more food in. I watch Clutterbug and you and Konmari...I don't even have a chest of drawers or a sofa...I have one lazyboy that is broke and I can't even sit in it because I can't get out. There's no place to put bathroom towels or blankets and sheets. I have a queen size bed (because I'm always falling out of bed...so with the qs I can sleep in the middle) but the room is so small that I don't have anywhere to put anything. There's not even enough room to move the bed (it's extremely heavy) so I can't vacuum underneath. I'm ready to throw everything out...I'm so frustrated...it's the most depressing place I've ever lived...when I see others houses or apartment...with their sofas and nice furniture in their sparkling clean rooms and kitchens that they say they have no where to put everything....I get so angry and then just cry. I don't know why I'm telling you all this...I just need help. I don't think you can come up with any ideas of what to do...but I'm still hoping. I live totally off my disability check and once I'm done paying doctor bills, rent (which is really cheap) I'm on housing. When I saw your title "Living on a Dime" I thought, that's for me...I have a dime. I've just started watching so I have even checked all your videos yet...so maybe, my questions or help is in one of those.
When you in that kind of a situation just do what you can one thing at a time to try and make things better. They may not get a lot better but you can work to just keep going forward.
You could tell your doctor I need help in the apartment
so where do your kids keep their coats? would love to get coats out of my coat closet but just seems we have to many. We are a 5 person family. Different coats for different seasons.

I love your closet. I have a family of six and a super small closet. As for organizing I am not so good. Do you make house calls (paid of course) to help others? I know I am a bit away in the springs. Or can you direct me on where to go/start?
