The show was okay, but I wish they could've done better. They missed a huge opportunity to introduce classical characters like Casey Jones, Rahzar, Slash, Venus, Panda Kahn, Mona Lisa, etc. Also, I believe the events did happen, and the stories told by Leo and Raphael were likely based on events that occurred after Mutant Mayhem. It's worth noting that the first arc occurred over one night, while the second arc unfolded over one day.
At some I’m honestly getting so tired of them doing a new take on a old character that I just want them to tell a story. We waste so much time they re-introduce a fan favorite side character. Just tell the fucking story! Give me a new solid character arc on any of the turtles that’s not Raphael and I’ll be a happy camper. I be a fan 4 life. That’s how I was sold on RTMNT although the animation did help alot, I was so happy that we have character focus episodes that doesn’t re-tread the same old BS and then go back to business as usual. I haven’t watch this show but I want to come into this with good faith because at this point, I just want a TMNT that can actually grow and doesn’t run out of ideas when the Shredder is defeated for the tenth time. Please for the love of god let the writers cook!
I think the series is great it has great villains such as the purple dragons it’s great that they are more than 3 or 4 street punks because that way they could become a criminal society ones again, as for the east river three they do look interesting especially Lee the eel she’s pretty 😊
I'm confused, did the events on this show happened or were just "tales"? cause if that's the case they wasted all those amazing characters for nothing, I loved the show and the animation, and really don't care about the new take on old characters, but I'm having a hard time liking the show for real if these events never actually happened, and I don't see anybody addressing this

However, Splinter is telling the story in such a boring way that Raphael takes over. Honestly, I don't know what's real or not. I wish they hadn't included these elements and had just given us a straightforward show. The show is awesome; I just wish there were no Leo comic and no Raph's story. Hahahaha. Hopefully, they clarify this officially.

Bishops story arc took place in real time and I think the east river three took place in Raphael’s head , and was just a project for aprils school

What do you expect? They were inexperienced kids, they're still learning how to fight.
