One thing I question is that he said Genoa _sold_ Corsica to the French. I can’t really find any major (and only some minor mentions in passing on Google) sources saying it was “sold.” It’s a minor point, but if any commenters are bored and know and could shed some light, I’d be interested.

Well it's a snowball effect once you have so many subscribers isn't it? When you release a video your influx of people with notifications at once is going to cause the system to think the flood of traffic is a trending video when it's not really trending at all, it's just your already existing subscribers viewing it, but then it gets put on trending list and does trend. Hence snowball effect.

Napoleon may have seemed or been arrogant, but the fact he was willing to get covered in blood and mud just like his troops, rather than the generals they were used to who sat on horses and delegated orders, was a massive powermove.

I think one video every 2 months should be easy because like he said he's not one person but he has a team since he says "we appreciate you guys", "we are grateful" etc. I believe after they finish a video they take 1 week or maybe 2 weeks break but they could still manage it if they are alot of people(by alot i dont mean over 10 but probably like 5)

The only reason he lost Waterloo was his Hubris. He was so good, too good. To the point of believing he couldn’t possibly lose, because he never lost before.
Basically he didn’t respect his enemy & greatly underestimated the English.
Thus Napoleon barely even used tactics in that battle.
His pride cost him everything that day.

The thing I want to see animated the most is his return from exile.. he started marching towards the capitol, and faced down the army sent to arrest him, said will you shoot your emperor? They joined him instead ..and that happened like 10 more times. Fucking total boss.
The movie Waterloo depicted it super well haha,
Seriously one of the greatest generals of all time an insanely good record.
Not to mention his monumental leaps in legal code, law and stuff, limiting the church was genius, he's not wrong about it just being used to oppress people and maintain the upper class historically
Wasn't perfect, definitely some shitty stuff especially from a modern perspective, but obviously using modern sensibilities applied to historical figures isn't really applicable
      Like his fuckups with slavery
It's not like with ghandi where he's a pedo & racist under analysis, or mother Theresa, a monster letting people die and suffer and taking money from dictators

Fun fact: at 8:49 the action of Napoleon throwing and breaking that porcelain when demanding the Austrians sign the peace treaty is completely historically accurate! Napoleon smashed a piece of porcelain that belonged to Ludwig Count Von Cobenzl, an Austrian foreign minister tasked with negotiating territorial disputes with France after the end of the first coalition war at the peace of Campo Formio. After much debate about border issues with France’s newly established territorial gains encroaching on the Rhineland, Napoleon threatened war again before smashing Cobenzl’s favored porcelain figure, which was a gift from empress Catherine II thanking him for his previous diplomatic works in St. Petersburg. Cobenzl and the Austrians would sign said treaty on that same day of October 17, 1797, speechless from Napoleon’s gallant behavior. Oversimplified, I don’t know if you did that on purpose or not, but your attention to insane details like that is why I love your channel so much.
