These are the 3 main nations. When he does the minors opinions will be a lot more mixed. They have thinner trees that make it harder to build competitive lineups and more one-trick ponies that you either love or hate.
@@ausaskar still, the fact that every nation has so far gotten an A on everything is not acurate. The USA does NOT have good AA for all tiers except 8.0, 8.3 and 10.3 for example. And ofcourse there's few more things that is extremely inacurate. Also should there be looked at specific tier pages and not 1 overall picture, cuz in that case the USA would have this: AA USA 1.0-3.7: B AA USA 4.0-6.7: C AA USA 7.0-8.3: A/B AA USA 8.7-10.7: S And for example the MBT line: 1.0-3.7: A/B 4.0-5.0: B 5.3-6.7: S/A 7.0-8.0: B 8.3-10.0: A/B 10.3-10.7: A
I would have to disagree here - by no means is american AA bad below 8.0 They may look pretty underwhelming on paper, but both M13 and M16 are very god for their BR - .50cals have amazing velocity and shell travel time, which makes it easy for you to aim. Planes are not too fast at this BR and are not armored, so even with .50cals you can quickly dispose of them, and you get plenty of ammunition/reloads do not need to be done too often. M15 is the only american AA which is honestly really bad - you lose 2 .50cals compared to M16 and you get a 37 which is terrible - it's rate of fire makes it ineffective against planes, and you cant really fight ground vehicles with it either, because you have to turn the entire vehicle to use it - which is easier said than done with a half track. Both M19 and M42 are quite good in my opinion - really effective against aircraft, with sufficient rotation and 2x40 Bofors you can easily do the work. The only real problems are limited ammo loads and the fact that they are pretty bad against tanks. But if you end up fighting tanks, you can very often survive a shell or two, just because they dont arm at this BR Above that the american AA is simply amazing. Sure, american AA at it's BRs is not as good as Wirbelwind or old Ostwind, but it is most definitely not bad. You can effectively engage planes at almost all BRs, the only real problem comes when dealing with tanks (compared to russian or german SPAAs), but the main goal of shooting down planes can easily be done.

Well yes, if your AAA and planes are blind as fuk, i mean, the stuka's are enormous, slow and not maneuverable at all, the only thing good about them is the early good payload, a 1000kg bomb in tiers 1 and 2 are very good, though unnecesary too, i always despised using them as my CAS, only when i started using the bf110 i noted a good kill/death ratio.

@@heliogonzalezsanchez8227 debatable, lots of unbalanced line ups, as in nearly impossible to make a correct one (like France barely has anything to go with its top tier Leclerc), there are very good tanks with dozen of average and bad ones in the dark. Not to mention the absurd repair costs (15k for the BatChat 25t, like wtf the tank is barely any better than an AMX 13 which costs 10k+ already for a damn light tank with an autoloader) and lack of dozens of vehicles and poorly modeled ones (BRENUS and its reactive armour). Of course a premium AMX30 being the only stabilized one as if the HEAT round wasn't painful enough (too much RNG imo, sometimes I oneshot the T55, sometimes I just destroy the machine gun port). I find that the nation is under developped overall, we still lack AMX 10s, lots of AMX 30 and AMX 13 variants (including a AMX 13 AA with the AMX 30 AA's turret but without radar as prototype to give France something to fill the gap between 4.7-8.0) and so on so forth. Tier I is painful and not beginner friendly at all (mfw the SPAA is the best AT vehicle). Our CAS isn't so bad at least.
@@breizhrudie4757 yeah, I agree in mostly everything you said, but i think that France is the biggest minor nation, the repair costs are very high sometimes, like you stated and there are a lot of vehicles that could be added. Also they fucked up the EBR, if they wanted a loe tier french premium they could have introduced the variant with the FL11 turret that could fit easily in 3.7 and fix the EBR we have and put it on 6.0 or 6.3, but no, they had to put a broken vehicle in a way lower br it should be if it functioned correctly

Might I suggest any German ww2 tank at 6.7 like the jagdtiger .3 be higher far lesser armor mobility and firepower. And that's besides it's 250mm armr can be penned by almost anything and everything 6.0+ and lolpenned by half of all tanks at 6.7+ and fully lolpenned by anything at 7.3 + now look at the T28/T95 nothing can pen the T28 frontally till 7.7 heat meanwhile it sits at 6.3 for no reason except litterly pay to win same goes for T95

@@11Tits I agree that US has the best variety of CAS But playing against the Germans at 8.7+ the G91 Nord spam is real. I've started running 2 SPAA on my lineups.
@@11Tits hard how? My track record with it is fantastic, both in Air RB and Ground RB. 4 Nords for killing ground is extremely powerful, and the DEFA cannons only need 1 or 2 hits for a kill.
You forgot one point: Germany has a really noob-ish player base. I have seen a E.B.R get scouted on a hill and 3 tiger and 1 puma ignore the guy and advance to a base. The baguette launcher killed all of them and more two guys before changing location

@@erenzo1914 i think it has something to do with that they have the wrong impression of what the tiger is but i will go with the more sensible answer and say its the most popular nation in the game. it often has 3x times the players quing it and with a bigger population of players comes the bigger population of idiots. its really bad around 5.7-6.7 but after that it gets better even tho i still see some plp trying to brawl with a leo 1 but they will learn eventually.
@@fm56001 yes, I mapped it to R and E. It allows you to stay within the speed limit in which the stabilizer is effective. It can make a big difference in combat with US tanks, as it gives you qn advantage over other natiins. It works well with some Japanese tanks as well in the Chi Nu and Chi To series, though I don't think those have a stabilizer, just a somewhat more stable gun when moving when compared to the Germans.
@@thiagocorreia3483 I would actually argue that its percieved as such OP because this plane is ptetty much the only CAS option for high tier. With other nations you get killed by different vehicles as more options are availabe
Basically what I think: Start with America and research all the lineups, grind them all to tier 3 and see what play style you like best. After you figure out which playstyle then move to a nation with tanks that have a majority of what your playstyle is.

Fun fact, during the Second World War America didn’t really focus on heavy armor and firepower because they wanted a multipurpose vehicle that can have multiple roll for example the Sherman had a bulldozer attachment to remove ruble from a battlefield to allow allied units and infantry to push through without slowing down
America definitely had a different tank doctrine. Tanks were meant to support infantry, not be a stand-alone unit. Which worked out great. It makes for lighter tanks. That were much easier to transport over great distances.
One thing to note is that germany gets the me 410 b6 at 5.3 with 2 mk 103s with hvap rounds, that thing if left untouched will literally clean up entire teams
Whenever I am teamed with Germany as USSR, we usually lose. And in a few instances I see EBRs or Hellcats ramming Tigers and Panthers with them not even reacting at all. Is there a fix?
@@firepower7017 yes there is a fix, its called german top tier i.e 8.7-10.7 german teams at that BR just steamroll everyone especially at 9.0 bcz everyone brings the radkampfwagon and kills 1 or 2 tanks and when they die, they spawn in G91s
@@patriot4048 indeed, but in my opinion it is one of the best if not the best mid tier "attacker" plane in the game, 3 mk103 hvap and a load ton of ammo i have seen these things shredding entire teams
I really enjoyed using the russian KV-2, it has great armour, amazing shells, but terrible driving and reload speed. It is a unique playstyle, which i highly reccomend playing.
my beloved KV-2 doesn't get enough love these days lol, that tank is unique, the reload time is abysimal but it's HE shells are so good you most likely won't need a second shot to that poor sherman/pz IV/T-34 you are shooting at. also the type of playstile that fits the KV-2 is very similar to the one you should adopt when using an IS-2, so it's like a training for people that want to unlock that beautiful beast.
Germany 6.0-6.7 is just complete fucking apeshit You play 6.0 you get uptiered to 6.7 You try to do something in your tiger and you get fucking spawn camped 3 minutes in the game because you're team is worse than cyberpunk AI
Germany 6.7 is no worse than any other nation in an uptier, and downright broken in a downtier. 6.7 is a shit BR for everyone. You think your tiger II has it bad? Try being a T26E1-1
Don't forget that if you want to play CAS, you also need those planes researched along with their modifications. War Thunder is an endless grind, but it can be fun once you've gotten through the pain of grinding out a tech tree.
-USA spaa should be lower because lack of GOOD mid tier SPAA -Germany CAS should be higher because there is literally a plane for every battle rating that’s pretty good -USSR CAS is not as effective as the other 2 -USSR has same situation with USA with lack of good mid tier spaa.
Not really true as German cas are litterly heavy bombers or 1 fw190 model. Also yess good mid tier spaa there isn't but to contrast does it matter when good planes exist? Also Germany doesnt get 1 decent tank after the pz4f2 till the leo1 cuz the tiger1 Vs the cent mk1/is2 is not really a battle same goes for the tiger2 as that Vs a cent mk3 and the like or is3 or even a T34 is not really a fair fight either is it?

Sure you get BT, but SU tank destroyers will take your soul as payment. And milk trucks are there only to show off your superiority as a player. CAS is a nice joke as well. I mean, seriously? We have IL line that needs big pack of condoms for it's inability to pull out in time and PE line which can't be missed if you try. So you are pigeonholed into SU line, which has to go in the most obvious strafe in the existence of mankind. The only way it would be more obvious if Su line music theme would start to play every time it approaches. I say the better choice for a rook would be italy. It grants decent early tanks, they pack a lot of fast vehicles, give a good sense of track vs wheels and, when it comes to planes, even if italian 12.7 are worse, they get them early. Also, their planes are just enjoyable to fly, even if you don't have a lot in terms of ground pounding.
@@burningsinner1132 I stopped resreach TD line after su85. I think it is player friendly and pretty good when you get KVs and T-34s. Spaag line is kinda shitty until you get to zsu-57/2. CAS is almost none existing and not comparable with USA or Germany( especially when Germans get G91s). First helicopter(Mi-4AV) has awful manoeuvrebility but has good atgms. All in all, good tech tree which has unike features you don't want to have( gun depression,pen,CAS...)
@@Марко109 I'm not saying that soviets themselves are bad (They are good, even if very different from the regular hull down rock jerking). I'm saying that their TDs are bad. Germans get stug/stuk which transits into Jagdpaner/tiger/panther. These are low profile, tanky pieces with mean guns (Shorty takes some getting used to, but the skill of HEAT lobbing translates well into your overall effectiveness with tanks across all trees) And they get Marder-Dicker-Emil, which offer superior pen. Americans get fully turreted high performance TDs. Soviets get underarmored barns with weak engines or non-armored barns with slightly stronger engines. Guns differ wildly, but, outside 57mm, underpen or outright don't have APHE option. Which would be fine if not for HORRIBLE HEAT which fails to pop PZ IV on 24 second reload gun.
Russia Reserves are super fun. Especially with the busted overpressure system. You can use a reserve I-15 with 50lb bombs and dive bomb once you cap an objective by rushing with the BT-5 or 7, 1 kill, capture objective or just bounce a couple of shells is enough to get you the plane.
The British from what I've experienced... paper armour and ricochet galore... "though we've shot 100 shells into this tank we sure as hell gave them a jolly good headache lads, tea anyone?"....
“You know what really grinds my gears?, when a player who has only been playing for a week who already has the tiger and panther tanks and mains Germany comes to me and says that Germany suffers because Russians are too powerful but I’m still at the first t34 after playing for 4-5 years trying to grind Russia but I can hardly advance tiers due to the German tanks.
Most fun tiers for Germany are the low tiers (~2.7-3.7). This is where uptiers aren’t a problem. At 5.3-6.7 you won’t get a single downtier and this makes a lot of matches considerably harder due to the heavy tanks not being very flexible. I would like to warn players that step into the tech tree thinking they are going to dominate with superior german engineering when in reality you can’t even play the tanks recommended play style (sniping).

Depend on what kind of tank is firing the round at you. If it's a heavy or tank destroyer, yeah you're probably going to die. A light or medium tank means you will take a few shells before dying. Or you get ammo racked by a light tank because they got lucky
I would like to make one addition to USA STABILIZERS! having the ability to pull off the first shor while your opponent is waiting for their gun to settle down is extremely useful.
8:42 There are a lot of German cannon birds, and most fighters can carry a 250/500kg bomb. In my opinion, German cas is very powerful if used correctly. Less dump-your-ammo-and-headon-anti-air, and more strike-unexpectedly-and-kill-enemy-attack-planes.
I actually recommend Germany to beginners if they want to get good fast you also forgot their 3rd Td line which is their aa and the tiger 2 is basically worthless rn. their cas is great actually with the 288 being viable up until 8.0 and the dreaded g91 at top tier

one more note: as a US main it feels like you get destroyed by the German guns, if you use (even on your slow tanks) flank routes you’ll be able to get 1-2 kills if your unlucky and 4-6 of you donut right

Seriously though, I have many matches that the battle between R3s and EBRs often dictated the match if the R3s kill all flanking EBRs then the heavies are safer and the enemy team lost 1/3 of their players if the EBRs kills all daring R3s then they are free to hunt tunnel visioned heavies and your team lost 1/3 of your players
@@blob643 R3s I see are nearly brain dead. I have managed to down one and his posse consisting of a Sturmpanzer II and a Panzer IV, and also a Hetzer. The tactic was the R3 would blind me from seeing the incoming Sturmpanzer, I would kill the R3 and reposition to dodge the large cannon from hitting me. He would try to reverse but I would kill him, next a Hetzer would arrive. But it didn't seem to spot me so then I would end it on it's side. A Panzer IV would arrive seeing the spectacle, but the dummy hit me in a angle. So then I killed it, Because he forgot T-34-57 can actually snipe.

The M4A3 (105) with a BR of 3 has a 105 mm cannon with 12.7 mm MGs. The next available medium tank with that armament is the M60A1 has a BR of 8.3. The 105 is a cheat code
I would say the panthers are fast but not very agile. You can get into position fairly quickly in your panther. You just need to watch the terrain and try to go in straight lines. With the added benefit of great hull armor and ok-ish armor on the turret you can do a lot.
i find it funny when warthunder redditors say the EBR isnt good because its clear they just outed themselves at being generally shit at the game. while the EBR mobility takes some getting used to it will absolutely wreck house when played with a little bit of caution. If you arent taking the first shot at that BR with a vic like the EBR you arent playing it right

11:00 wait. You're joking right? Anything German (at it's own BR range) can 1-shot a T-34-85 with ease, and you can only barely or NOT pen them on a very limited amount of locations (except the sides and rear, but good luck getting a shot at that especially in AB)...
Your forgetting that most German players at that BR range are playing the Tigers and are kinda dumb. Got lots of moments where Tiger players tunnel vision or are completley unaware of weakpoints.
The statement was that T-34s can one shot their enemies. Not that they can tank german cannons. Russian APHE can quite confidently one shot alot of big tanks with their extra TNT mass shells which come with a slightly lower penetration.
the kv1 tanks are fucking beast i was once ambushed by nashorn and dickermax which it has 170mm pentration and none of the rounds penetrate the kv armor and i killed both of em, pure stalinium armor and ammunition guidance

Everyone forgets how America starts with almost every vehicle having the blessing of Browning strapped to the top of their turret which is a real threat to early light tanks and close air support
As a German tank player who is about to get the leopard 1, I would have to say that at least up until now in the tech tree, the Germans have more potential than the American counterparts, but they have a higher skill floor for doing well in the tigers. If you don't know how to angle them properly, turn your turret, and position your gun when on the move, you will die quickly. The Jumbo is a prime example of being braindead and still surviving dozens of shells, but the super pershing is the exception as volumetric gave it and the jumbo huge buffs
Finally someone else who noticed that the Jumbo's and Pershing's weak spots stopped actually being a weakspots because of Volumetrics. The other day I hit a jumbo in the machunegun port with a long 8.8 from the Nashorn and it did nothing but destroy the machine gun and give the machine gunner a papercut.
I started with British because their tank seemed fast and it seemed like an interesting nation but after unlocking two vehicles I switched to US as it has great vehicles.

Lots of shot spam on planes (miniguns/.50s) Germany: get your wehraboo lederhosen cause youre gonna have fun in top tier USSR: enjoy the bounces, big booms, long reloads, and powerful planes Britain: Japan: welcome to pain town, population you China: want cheap chinese knock offs of every nations vehicles? Enjoy! Italy: only play the pizza box tanks and MBTs France: modeled incorrectly vehicles. Mirage IIIC is amazing though Sweden: permanent up tier games since the vehicles are over BR’ed. Few arent

Excuse me, German CAS is really good. 3.0 -> Hs.123 (75mm version is quite fun) or ideally BF110 C6 (cheap marketplace vehicle which you should absolutely get) 3.7 and 4.0 -> Me410 With 50mm (there's two of them) 5.0 -> Do335 with 95mm pen AP belts in their 30mm cannons + bombs 5.7 - 6.0 -> premium Do335 (plenty bombs and 3x30mm cannons with deadly AP) ,Ta152C (again, 30mm with AP) or premium Ju288 (fast bomber with 2 gigantic 1800kg bombs on board and fantastic self defense weapons) 6.7 -> Me262 A1/U4 (same 50mm cannon known from the Me410 and quite literally the best CAS in the game IMPORTANT: use the AP belts with 95mm pen and explosive filling) 8.7 G.91 (4x AS Nord manually guided missiles killing almost any tank with ease) It is advised to use the vehicles up until you unlock the next vehicles I mentioned. There's theoretically CAS variants in between but they're not worth your time since the ones I mentioned are so good. PS: No, BF110, Me410, 262 and G91 are NOT easy to take out.
Very well done video, although I would suggest new players to not grind nation by nation. Grind one battle rating at a time with all nations, or almost all nations (for example I grind everything except France and Sweden). There's significative advantages in doing so: 1. You're gonna get to play enemy vehicles and get better at dealing with them. 2. You're gonna get more used to a new tier since you're gonna play more time at the same tier and avoid those tier jumps that you often find grinding only 1 tech tree. 3. Before getting to high tiers with more skilled players you'll have more time to improve your skill and understanding of game mechanics. 4. You'll get more silver lions:. If you jump from a 6.7 to a 7.7 lineup as in the German tech tree for example, the 7.7 vehicles will be significantly more expensive. Instead, if you play for example one nation at 6.7, and then all the other nations at 6.7 and then you go up at 7.0, the costs will be significantly cheaper and you'll probably afford your next lineup. Also, you get more silver lions because using this method you'll become a better player and earn more. Now, there's a huge disadvantage tho: you're not gonna get to high tier anytime soon, it will take at least 2 years, but just if you play a lot and you're really skilled, so it's up to you. Although let me state that using my grinding method you're gonna be way more relaxed, rage less because you don't have the pressure to getting to high tier, improve your playing skills, and unlock new vehicles more often, even if they're not high tier, basically a more fun and rewarding experience overall. You can use a hybrid method if you want: grind one nation that you particularly like up to high tier and then use my method.
For Britain: Anything British vehicles can do, another nation can do better 😂 Tier 2 + 3 isn’t too bad and pretty fun! The Churchill’s are amazing! ...but from then on all the way up to top tier, including top tier, it is a real struggle (In my experience). More often than not you are limited to very defensive, slow moving tanks that rely on your enemies not knowing your weak spots and your team mates to actually help. Your most frequent enemies are the top two nations in the game (Russia and Germany) that possess superior armor, firepower AND speed so you really need to think and can’t just boom and zoom. Basically if you get spotted first you are well on your way to the hanger. Personally I’m now used to having to play defensive and stay behind the frontlines but it does get boring when you see other nations dominating the battlefield. I played Germany up to tier 4 and let me tell you I have had so much more fun! Edit: But hey, top tier Challenger 2s are the sexiest looking tanks right? 👀
From my experience there are 4 things I would correct or mention. 1 I believe he overestimates the power of the American SPAA veichles, whiles groups of good ones (mostly from BR 1.3-2.3 and +8.0) most of late early tiers and mid tiers have lackluster SPAA. 2 German CAS is some of the most dependable in the game, there are not too many of them in the game but there are a couple that will work fantastic even in putting them 1 or 2 BRs higher than intended. Examples of this are planes like the Ju 88 A-4, Fw 190Fs and Ds, Bf110s, Ju 188, and Me 410s. The secret to these planes' success is due to the powerful bombs Germany has that can be carried by faster and more maneuverable aircraft. Although I will say the CAS options past tier 4 are not the best aside from 8.7 where they get some good CAS again. 3 One of the Soviet tree's best lineup is in 4.3 with a variety of diverse tanks that can accommodate to any playstyle in any map. 4 Lastly the Soviet trees' CAS while there are some good ones like the ones he mentioned (such as the attacker line and a couple bombers) these generally are slower for their BR and payload, leaving for a bit more to be desired from them. Other than this he pretty much nailed everything else he mentioned in this vid and yea thank you for attending my TED Talk

A: Germany is limited when it comes to close air support. What do I mean by this? Well, you either have to pick between very slow and large planes with cannons, or nimble fighters with 250kg bombs. While yes, the Messerschmitt and the Dornier ground attackers are very good, you'll get taken out very quickly if an anti-air or an enemy fighter spots you. And as for the fighters, you can only kill 1 or 2 tanks with the limited ordnance you get. And before you ask, yes, the G91 is a good CAS plane. It just comes way too late in the tech tree to have a big impact.

These are the 3 main nations. When he does the minors opinions will be a lot more mixed. They have thinner trees that make it harder to build competitive lineups and more one-trick ponies that you either love or hate.

The USA does NOT have good AA for all tiers except 8.0, 8.3 and 10.3 for example.
And ofcourse there's few more things that is extremely inacurate.
Also should there be looked at specific tier pages and not 1 overall picture, cuz in that case the USA would have this:

AA USA 4.0-6.7: C
AA USA 7.0-8.3: A/B

And for example the MBT line:

I would have to disagree here - by no means is american AA bad below 8.0
They may look pretty underwhelming on paper, but both M13 and M16 are very god for their BR - .50cals have amazing velocity and shell travel time, which makes it easy for you to aim. Planes are not too fast at this BR and are not armored, so even with .50cals you can quickly dispose of them, and you get plenty of ammunition/reloads do not need to be done too often.
M15 is the only american AA which is honestly really bad - you lose 2 .50cals compared to M16 and you get a 37 which is terrible - it's rate of fire makes it ineffective against planes, and you cant really fight ground vehicles with it either, because you have to turn the entire vehicle to use it - which is easier said than done with a half track.
Both M19 and M42 are quite good in my opinion - really effective against aircraft, with sufficient rotation and 2x40 Bofors you can easily do the work. The only real problems are limited ammo loads and the fact that they are pretty bad against tanks. But if you end up fighting tanks, you can very often survive a shell or two, just because they dont arm at this BR
Above that the american AA is simply amazing.
Sure, american AA at it's BRs is not as good as Wirbelwind or old Ostwind, but it is most definitely not bad. You can effectively engage planes at almost all BRs, the only real problem comes when dealing with tanks (compared to russian or german SPAAs), but the main goal of shooting down planes can easily be done.

Well yes, if your AAA and planes are blind as fuk, i mean, the stuka's are enormous, slow and not maneuverable at all, the only thing good about them is the early good payload, a 1000kg bomb in tiers 1 and 2 are very good, though unnecesary too, i always despised using them as my CAS, only when i started using the bf110 i noted a good kill/death ratio.
Each time I drop a 1000kg bomb I manage to rip my wings off and barely scratching the ennemy tank. I must be really bad at dive bombing

@@heliogonzalezsanchez8227 debatable, lots of unbalanced line ups, as in nearly impossible to make a correct one (like France barely has anything to go with its top tier Leclerc), there are very good tanks with dozen of average and bad ones in the dark. Not to mention the absurd repair costs (15k for the BatChat 25t, like wtf the tank is barely any better than an AMX 13 which costs 10k+ already for a damn light tank with an autoloader) and lack of dozens of vehicles and poorly modeled ones (BRENUS and its reactive armour). Of course a premium AMX30 being the only stabilized one as if the HEAT round wasn't painful enough (too much RNG imo, sometimes I oneshot the T55, sometimes I just destroy the machine gun port). I find that the nation is under developped overall, we still lack AMX 10s, lots of AMX 30 and AMX 13 variants (including a AMX 13 AA with the AMX 30 AA's turret but without radar as prototype to give France something to fill the gap between 4.7-8.0) and so on so forth. Tier I is painful and not beginner friendly at all (mfw the SPAA is the best AT vehicle). Our CAS isn't so bad at least.

Also they fucked up the EBR, if they wanted a loe tier french premium they could have introduced the variant with the FL11 turret that could fit easily in 3.7 and fix the EBR we have and put it on 6.0 or 6.3, but no, they had to put a broken vehicle in a way lower br it should be if it functioned correctly

but i will go with the more sensible answer and say its the most popular nation in the game. it often has 3x times the players quing it and with a bigger population of players comes the bigger population of idiots. its really bad around 5.7-6.7 but after that it gets better even tho i still see some plp trying to brawl with a leo 1 but they will learn eventually.
Pro-tip with Sherman: use manual transmission control if you want to use the stabilizer. I keep it in 2nd Gear for that.

@@fm56001 yes, I mapped it to R and E. It allows you to stay within the speed limit in which the stabilizer is effective. It can make a big difference in combat with US tanks, as it gives you qn advantage over other natiins. It works well with some Japanese tanks as well in the Chi Nu and Chi To series, though I don't think those have a stabilizer, just a somewhat more stable gun when moving when compared to the Germans.

Start with America and research all the lineups, grind them all to tier 3 and see what play style you like best. After you figure out which playstyle then move to a nation with tanks that have a majority of what your playstyle is.

Fun fact, during the Second World War America didn’t really focus on heavy armor and firepower because they wanted a multipurpose vehicle that can have multiple roll for example the Sherman had a bulldozer attachment to remove ruble from a battlefield to allow allied units and infantry to push through without slowing down
America definitely had a different tank doctrine. Tanks were meant to support infantry, not be a stand-alone unit. Which worked out great. It makes for lighter tanks. That were much easier to transport over great distances.

Whenever I am teamed with Germany as USSR, we usually lose. And in a few instances I see EBRs or Hellcats ramming Tigers and Panthers with them not even reacting at all. Is there a fix?

I really enjoyed using the russian KV-2, it has great armour, amazing shells, but terrible driving and reload speed. It is a unique playstyle, which i highly reccomend playing.
my beloved KV-2 doesn't get enough love these days lol, that tank is unique, the reload time is abysimal but it's HE shells are so good you most likely won't need a second shot to that poor sherman/pz IV/T-34 you are shooting at.
also the type of playstile that fits the KV-2 is very similar to the one you should adopt when using an IS-2, so it's like a training for people that want to unlock that beautiful beast.
KV-2 the only tank that make everybody shit out of their pants when they see its gun aim to you and you failed to kill it.
i cant even play normal tanks, so imma stay far away from the kv2 until i can actually play the game

CAS is a nice joke as well. I mean, seriously? We have IL line that needs big pack of condoms for it's inability to pull out in time and PE line which can't be missed if you try. So you are pigeonholed into SU line, which has to go in the most obvious strafe in the existence of mankind. The only way it would be more obvious if Su line music theme would start to play every time it approaches.
I say the better choice for a rook would be italy. It grants decent early tanks, they pack a lot of fast vehicles, give a good sense of track vs wheels and, when it comes to planes, even if italian 12.7 are worse, they get them early. Also, their planes are just enjoyable to fly, even if you don't have a lot in terms of ground pounding.
@@burningsinner1132 I stopped resreach TD line after su85. I think it is player friendly and pretty good when you get KVs and T-34s. Spaag line is kinda shitty until you get to zsu-57/2. CAS is almost none existing and not comparable with USA or Germany( especially when Germans get G91s). First helicopter(Mi-4AV) has awful manoeuvrebility but has good atgms. All in all, good tech tree which has unike features you don't want to have( gun depression,pen,CAS...)

Germans get stug/stuk which transits into Jagdpaner/tiger/panther. These are low profile, tanky pieces with mean guns (Shorty takes some getting used to, but the skill of HEAT lobbing translates well into your overall effectiveness with tanks across all trees) And they get Marder-Dicker-Emil, which offer superior pen. Americans get fully turreted high performance TDs. Soviets get underarmored barns with weak engines or non-armored barns with slightly stronger engines. Guns differ wildly, but, outside 57mm, underpen or outright don't have APHE option. Which would be fine if not for HORRIBLE HEAT which fails to pop PZ IV on 24 second reload gun.

Russia Reserves are super fun. Especially with the busted overpressure system. You can use a reserve I-15 with 50lb bombs and dive bomb once you cap an objective by rushing with the BT-5 or 7, 1 kill, capture objective or just bounce a couple of shells is enough to get you the plane.

Most fun tiers for Germany are the low tiers (~2.7-3.7). This is where uptiers aren’t a problem.
At 5.3-6.7 you won’t get a single downtier and this makes a lot of matches considerably harder due to the heavy tanks not being very flexible.
I would like to warn players that step into the tech tree thinking they are going to dominate with superior german engineering when in reality you can’t even play the tanks recommended play style (sniping).

There are a lot of German cannon birds, and most fighters can carry a 250/500kg bomb. In my opinion, German cas is very powerful if used correctly. Less dump-your-ammo-and-headon-anti-air, and more strike-unexpectedly-and-kill-enemy-attack-planes.
I actually recommend Germany to beginners if they want to get good fast you also forgot their 3rd Td line which is their aa and the tiger 2 is basically worthless rn. their cas is great actually with the 288 being viable up until 8.0 and the dreaded g91 at top tier

I love my G91, no other option for CAS. Gotta say, after Nording 4 guys, G91 can cover the skies pretty easily compared to heavy fat usa attackers

if the R3s kill all flanking EBRs then the heavies are safer and the enemy team lost 1/3 of their players
if the EBRs kills all daring R3s then they are free to hunt tunnel visioned heavies and your team lost 1/3 of your players
@@blob643 R3s I see are nearly brain dead. I have managed to down one and his posse consisting of a Sturmpanzer II and a Panzer IV, and also a Hetzer.
The tactic was the R3 would blind me from seeing the incoming Sturmpanzer, I would kill the R3 and reposition to dodge the large cannon from hitting me. He would try to reverse but I would kill him, next a Hetzer would arrive. But it didn't seem to spot me so then I would end it on it's side. A Panzer IV would arrive seeing the spectacle, but the dummy hit me in a angle. So then I killed it, Because he forgot T-34-57 can actually snipe.

The M4A3 (105) with a BR of 3 has a 105 mm cannon with 12.7 mm MGs. The next available medium tank with that armament is the M60A1 has a BR of 8.3. The 105 is a cheat code

I would say the panthers are fast but not very agile. You can get into position fairly quickly in your panther. You just need to watch the terrain and try to go in straight lines. With the added benefit of great hull armor and ok-ish armor on the turret you can do a lot.

i find it funny when warthunder redditors say the EBR isnt good because its clear they just outed themselves at being generally shit at the game. while the EBR mobility takes some getting used to it will absolutely wreck house when played with a little bit of caution. If you arent taking the first shot at that BR with a vic like the EBR you arent playing it right

Your forgetting that most German players at that BR range are playing the Tigers and are kinda dumb. Got lots of moments where Tiger players tunnel vision or are completley unaware of weakpoints.
The statement was that T-34s can one shot their enemies. Not that they can tank german cannons. Russian APHE can quite confidently one shot alot of big tanks with their extra TNT mass shells which come with a slightly lower penetration.
the kv1 tanks are fucking beast i was once ambushed by nashorn and dickermax which it has 170mm pentration and none of the rounds penetrate the kv armor and i killed both of em, pure stalinium armor and ammunition guidance
You could make a video about some strange tanks and tell how to play with them (something like Bison, Puma, sPzB 41 on tier I, 105mm sherman, etc.)

As a German tank player who is about to get the leopard 1, I would have to say that at least up until now in the tech tree, the Germans have more potential than the American counterparts, but they have a higher skill floor for doing well in the tigers. If you don't know how to angle them properly, turn your turret, and position your gun when on the move, you will die quickly. The Jumbo is a prime example of being braindead and still surviving dozens of shells, but the super pershing is the exception as volumetric gave it and the jumbo huge buffs
Finally someone else who noticed that the Jumbo's and Pershing's weak spots stopped actually being a weakspots because of Volumetrics. The other day I hit a jumbo in the machunegun port with a long 8.8 from the Nashorn and it did nothing but destroy the machine gun and give the machine gunner a papercut.

US: all round vehicles. Lots of shot spam on planes (miniguns/.50s)
Germany: get your wehraboo lederhosen cause youre gonna have fun in top tier
USSR: enjoy the bounces, big booms, long reloads, and powerful planes
Britain:
Japan: welcome to pain town, population you
China: want cheap chinese knock offs of every nations vehicles? Enjoy!
Italy: only play the pizza box tanks and MBTs
France: modeled incorrectly vehicles. Mirage IIIC is amazing though
Sweden: permanent up tier games since the vehicles are over BR’ed. Few arent

3.0 -> Hs.123 (75mm version is quite fun) or ideally BF110 C6 (cheap marketplace vehicle which you should absolutely get)
3.7 and 4.0 -> Me410 With 50mm (there's two of them)
5.0 -> Do335 with 95mm pen AP belts in their 30mm cannons + bombs
5.7 - 6.0 -> premium Do335 (plenty bombs and 3x30mm cannons with deadly AP) ,Ta152C (again, 30mm with AP) or premium Ju288 (fast bomber with 2 gigantic 1800kg bombs on board and fantastic self defense weapons)
6.7 -> Me262 A1/U4 (same 50mm cannon known from the Me410 and quite literally the best CAS in the game
IMPORTANT: use the AP belts with 95mm pen and explosive filling)
8.7 G.91 (4x AS Nord manually guided missiles killing almost any tank with ease)
It is advised to use the vehicles up until you unlock the next vehicles I mentioned. There's theoretically CAS variants in between but they're not worth your time since the ones I mentioned are so good.
PS: No, BF110, Me410, 262 and G91 are NOT easy to take out.

Very well done video, although I would suggest new players to not grind nation by nation. Grind one battle rating at a time with all nations, or almost all nations (for example I grind everything except France and Sweden). There's significative advantages in doing so: 1. You're gonna get to play enemy vehicles and get better at dealing with them. 2. You're gonna get more used to a new tier since you're gonna play more time at the same tier and avoid those tier jumps that you often find grinding only 1 tech tree. 3. Before getting to high tiers with more skilled players you'll have more time to improve your skill and understanding of game mechanics. 4. You'll get more silver lions:. If you jump from a 6.7 to a 7.7 lineup as in the German tech tree for example, the 7.7 vehicles will be significantly more expensive. Instead, if you play for example one nation at 6.7, and then all the other nations at 6.7 and then you go up at 7.0, the costs will be significantly cheaper and you'll probably afford your next lineup. Also, you get more silver lions because using this method you'll become a better player and earn more. Now, there's a huge disadvantage tho: you're not gonna get to high tier anytime soon, it will take at least 2 years, but just if you play a lot and you're really skilled, so it's up to you. Although let me state that using my grinding method you're gonna be way more relaxed, rage less because you don't have the pressure to getting to high tier, improve your playing skills, and unlock new vehicles more often, even if they're not high tier, basically a more fun and rewarding experience overall. You can use a hybrid method if you want: grind one nation that you particularly like up to high tier and then use my method.
For Britain: Anything British vehicles can do, another nation can do better 😂
Tier 2 + 3 isn’t too bad and pretty fun! The Churchill’s are amazing! ...but from then on all the way up to top tier, including top tier, it is a real struggle (In my experience). More often than not you are limited to very defensive, slow moving tanks that rely on your enemies not knowing your weak spots and your team mates to actually help.
Your most frequent enemies are the top two nations in the game (Russia and Germany) that possess superior armor, firepower AND speed so you really need to think and can’t just boom and zoom. Basically if you get spotted first you are well on your way to the hanger.
Personally I’m now used to having to play defensive and stay behind the frontlines but it does get boring when you see other nations dominating the battlefield.
I played Germany up to tier 4 and let me tell you I have had so much more fun!

From my experience there are 4 things I would correct or mention. 1 I believe he overestimates the power of the American SPAA veichles, whiles groups of good ones (mostly from BR 1.3-2.3 and +8.0) most of late early tiers and mid tiers have lackluster SPAA. 2 German CAS is some of the most dependable in the game, there are not too many of them in the game but there are a couple that will work fantastic even in putting them 1 or 2 BRs higher than intended. Examples of this are planes like the Ju 88 A-4, Fw 190Fs and Ds, Bf110s, Ju 188, and Me 410s. The secret to these planes' success is due to the powerful bombs Germany has that can be carried by faster and more maneuverable aircraft. Although I will say the CAS options past tier 4 are not the best aside from 8.7 where they get some good CAS again. 3 One of the Soviet tree's best lineup is in 4.3 with a variety of diverse tanks that can accommodate to any playstyle in any map. 4 Lastly the Soviet trees' CAS while there are some good ones like the ones he mentioned (such as the attacker line and a couple bombers) these generally are slower for their BR and payload, leaving for a bit more to be desired from them. Other than this he pretty much nailed everything else he mentioned in this vid and yea thank you for attending my TED Talk
