The 2 pounder you get in tier 1-2 forces you to surgically disassemble the enemy with your solid shot shells. Quite a painful process, but at least it forces you to acquire a good understanding of penetration for later tiers.
I began playing war thunder in 2018 and stared with British aircraft. It was a nice experience so I went to the British tanks next. I struggled really badly and only just got used to how they play, but their play style is really nice
The Comet and Challenger are quite mobile actually, specially when you will be fighting German cats most of the time, you can almost play them like light tanks.
lmao the british tech tree was the first one I started with and he says its not recommended for beginners. I can safely say he's right since I now play a little russia just to remember what having APHE shells is like. Also he forgot that there is actually one tank on the british tree with APHE; its the crusader. The crusader was amazing for me when i started war thunder and I'd say the same would go for any other British tanks beginner
I also recommend going for the valentine tanks. The may lack in speed and mobility but they make up for it in their decent armor and cannon for their b.r.
I love japan. Driving around and flanking enemies is really fun with these powerful cannons. I'm only at 6.3 tho. Pretty excited to see how the Type 90 performs at top tier.
I really love the Chinese tech tree, yeah sure they’re copy paste but they’re copy paste of very fun vehicles and have some SUPER unique lineups consisting of very good vehicles from each nation. Very fun nation
the cents do have decent armor and the cromwell chassis tanks have really good mobility the cents armor isnt fantastic, especially with the LFP, but its decent
The thing is for ALL low-tier British tanks....they have to deal with the German SPG age around 2.0+. Plus the PZ. III J1's are a thing, and they got some small-shields around their frontal. The British can't compete with them at all, I find it kind've hard since some of us are mainly armed with 40mms and 57's mms lol. I recommend playing low-tier British as a fast-flanker or support for heavier tanks since that's your only support you got or else you'll die.
Gun carrier: average gun At 2.7 that “average gun” can pen almost anything and because of the size of it, it will almost always one shot light tanks and cripple heavy and medium tanks to the point where a follow up shot will do the job
I played usa up to rank 2 and ended up not liking it because of the lack of Apc's, so i looked at all the nations and saw that britan had a good mix of light and heavy tanks, which was why i played it, i just hope the higher tiers are strong enough...
After playing both Japan and France, I think the French have the worst tier 1 line up. The reserve tanks are abysmal. And even up to the Char B1 their cannons lack any real hitting power. The 47mm is entirely inadequate even point blank, and the only domestic low tier tank they have that is any good is the S35. And even then it's only because of the decent armor and mobility. It's an otherwise ineffectual fighting vehicle.
Omg that explains things.... a noob here. I just started playing a few days ago Italy, and so far, I loved it. Japan is my second favorite nation, so here I go to alternate and play a bit more, and OMG Japan feels like I am just there doing nothing, is hard and I thought I was just bad but I mean I do well with Italy and for the worst part decent Japan in the other hand, Pain that's all I feel..... and I love their later tiers. It is just hard now....
As someone who has played the Chinese tree and is currently grinding it, even as an experienced player I've been struggling with it. I think 7 is very generous for beginner friendliness, I would give it probably a 3 like Japan, but that's just my opinion
A Daimler can kill a panther pretty fine, of course before it loses a winning duel with a tiger by getting its engine shot by an m18 behind a bush and everything goes downhill.
I'm Britain main. Churchills and Cruisers are amazing.🇬🇧☕🇹🇷 Fun Fact: You don't need a tank to destroy Tier 1 Japanese🇯🇵 tanks, a 12.7mm machine gun is sufficient.
This right here. APHE feals so braindead to use, the main thing I enjoy with Brits is one shotting everything with a well placed calculated shot. Feels Good!
0:30 England? The UK IS NOT ENGLAND! The UK is England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland combined. I mean, you probably understand this, but I get enraged when I say I'm from the UK and people say that I'm English. Just in case any Americans get it wrong, like they usually do.
I wish I saw this video before I started playing War Thunder as somehow the two tech trees I chose to main and play on as a Noob were apparently aren't very beginner friendly. Now I am worried about British higher tier tanks when I reach them though one thing I want to say is that I disagree with the F rating for tier 1-2 Japanese tanks and I actually enjoyed it mainly for the speed, enough amour, gun depression, HEAT shells and from what I know, pretty good reload speed while the only thing I hated about it was the Tank Destroyer due to their slow reload speed, the type of shell they used and in the Chi-Ha's case, having noing protecting its crew making it annoyingly very variable from air attacks and flanking tanks armed with machine guns. Though not sure how valid my experience is because I just joined War Thunder a few months ago and I haven't played much of the other tech trees.
Ho-Ro is really good, not in 1.3br but in 2.7 because gets alwaus one shot and still one shots everything. Also no need to aim since it has HE shells that can penetrate 55mm of armor.
hey skDoger for when you cover Italy the AS 42 is good for flanking. If you use the best bullets you can pen a lot of stuff, also the Engine is very quite what makes it a bit easier to flank. If you flank you can get some kills before on shell or bullet hits the gunner or driver.

I began playing war thunder in 2018 and stared with British aircraft. It was a nice experience so I went to the British tanks next. I struggled really badly and only just got used to how they play, but their play style is really nice
1:50 Amazing wording right here...
True CAS lineup for Japan that you'll use. B5N2 with 800kg HE bomb -> B7A2 with same bomb -> Fighters with Big rockets for example A7M2
The Comet and Challenger are quite mobile actually, specially when you will be fighting German cats most of the time, you can almost play them like light tanks.
yeah the comets a great tank, takes no time at all to ace it!
Cant wait till part 3 because 2 of my favorite trees are the French and Italy
7:27 "The biggest problem being the firepower", just two words for you, Ho Ro ;D
My Japanese due ask me why there is no HO- RO recommended 🇯🇵
Japanese tree = Chi Nu 2 is what you will use to grind the whole nation.
Nice work bro! I will wait for the third part 😉
lmao the british tech tree was the first one I started with and he says its not recommended for beginners. I can safely say he's right since I now play a little russia just to remember what having APHE shells is like.
Also he forgot that there is actually one tank on the british tree with APHE; its the crusader. The crusader was amazing for me when i started war thunder and I'd say the same would go for any other British tanks beginner
Crusader flanking is beautiful
As a South African I approve of your pronunciation of "Rooikat".
I like how you used the ROCA (taiwan) theme on china instead of the PLA march🤣
Zhonghua Mingguo DiYi 🇹🇼🇹🇼
My three favorite trees are all grouped together last D:
I also recommend going for the valentine tanks. The may lack in speed and mobility but they make up for it in their decent armor and cannon for their b.r.
In my experience the val’s have very inconsistent armor that doesn’t work 85% of the time.
yea the valentine 1 is indestructible in a downtier but in an uptier you bettet angle
I love japan. Driving around and flanking enemies is really fun with these powerful cannons. I'm only at 6.3 tho. Pretty excited to see how the Type 90 performs at top tier.
I have waited for this
I really love the Chinese tech tree, yeah sure they’re copy paste but they’re copy paste of very fun vehicles and have some SUPER unique lineups consisting of very good vehicles from each nation. Very fun nation
Then recommend a lineup for 5.7 please, because I rage quited china due to the fact Germany and the US eat chinese tanks for breakfast at 5.7
@@mexicobasado8177 2 years late but, all the 5.7 vehicles are great:
Both T-34s
M18 and M36
ISU-122
SPAA T-34
All are best of USSR and USA techtrees.
Best Rooikat ive heard in a video.
"Not very mobile"
"Shows picture of Avenger, tha speedy boi"
I mean..... it have shit turning rate
The man is back
the cents do have decent armor and the cromwell chassis tanks have really good mobility
the cents armor isnt fantastic, especially with the LFP, but its decent

Sad Archer noises(also Achilles as well)
The thing is for ALL low-tier British tanks....they have to deal with the German SPG age around 2.0+.
Gun carrier: average gun
At 2.7 that “average gun” can pen almost anything and because of the size of it, it will almost always one shot light tanks and cripple heavy and medium tanks to the point where a follow up shot will do the job
Just in time, wanted to return to the British tech tree
I started with the United Kingdom at the beginning of the year, it was my first nation, and now I just have the first centurion
I played usa up to rank 2 and ended up not liking it because of the lack of Apc's, so i looked at all the nations and saw that britan had a good mix of light and heavy tanks, which was why i played it, i just hope the higher tiers are strong enough...
British top tier is quite competitive, if you know how to use the tanks they're quite good
After playing both Japan and France, I think the French have the worst tier 1 line up.
Thx for these vids especially the one on rounds ive been playing war thunder for about 3 years now
such professional, much wow
Omg that explains things.... a noob here. I just started playing a few days ago Italy, and so far, I loved it. Japan is my second favorite nation, so here I go to alternate and play a bit more, and OMG Japan feels like I am just there doing nothing, is hard and I thought I was just bad but I mean I do well with Italy and for the worst part decent Japan in the other hand, Pain that's all I feel..... and I love their later tiers. It is just hard now....
Yes we need this
As someone who has played the Chinese tree and is currently grinding it, even as an experienced player I've been struggling with it. I think 7 is very generous for beginner friendliness, I would give it probably a 3 like Japan, but that's just my opinion
Ikr the repair costs high af and the 5.7 lineup is pure pain against germany and the US
A Daimler can kill a panther pretty fine, of course before it loses a winning duel with a tiger by getting its engine shot by an m18 behind a bush and everything goes downhill.
I'm Britain main. Churchills and Cruisers are amazing.🇬🇧☕🇹🇷
Fun Fact: You don't need a tank to destroy Tier 1 Japanese🇯🇵 tanks, a 12.7mm machine gun is sufficient.
Lack of APHE probably help to teach player to actually aim at certain spots
This right here. APHE feals so braindead to use, the main thing I enjoy with Brits is one shotting everything with a well placed calculated shot. Feels Good!
Bris: If you're lookinf for fun
Me mainly Brit and swede: Where's the bloody fun m8?
Waheres the fooking fun yea m8
0:30 England? The UK IS NOT ENGLAND! The UK is England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland combined. I mean, you probably understand this, but I get enraged when I say I'm from the UK and people say that I'm English. Just in case any Americans get it wrong, like they usually do.
yes. Japan tier 1 was hell. my broken monitor confirms.
To prove the terrible armor on the st tanks I actually killed one with a locust that used up a ton of snail luck.
Flanking is actually a good choice for starter tanks
I'm a beginner, I started with UK tree for both air and ground, AMA.
1:30 *sad archer noises
Bruhhhhhhhh, the ctrl, C and V on China's intro! I'm off to hell for laughing at that one!😂😬
I memed HARD with the Type 98 AA truck. XD Killed half a dozen tanks with ambushes.
according to experience, better react faster if u decide to play chief and chally aggressively, they can be pretty decent at it
"The m4a3 can be a nice addition to your line up" WHAT LINE UP
hey skDoger for when you cover Italy the AS 42 is good for flanking. If you use the best bullets you can pen a lot of stuff, also the Engine is very quite what makes it a bit easier to flank. If you flank you can get some kills before on shell or bullet hits the gunner or driver.
Will keep in mind. Thanks!
Thank you so much!!!
You are welcome!
japanese armor mostly sucks but i somehow bounced an m22 point blank with the I GO KO (reserve tank)
