This is a great dramatization of the great whites speed. They would not be capable of maintaining that speed for that long, as it is only it's max boost speed that comes in short bursts

Good information, it’s good to know that sharks do not have humans as a food source of choice for human fatalities would be much higher to anyone entering the sea. Yeah the animal may be out of visual range, but due to senses and speed, omg stay in swimming pool.

I think it's fair to say a lot of the fish you can find at a pet store could outrun any human, at least in top speed. But to be fair, even a Mako shark is pretty slow on land, so we shouldn't feel too bad about ourselves.
