Garage Door FISHING ROD Holder

I needed more FISHING ROD storage in my GARAGE so I built a fishing rod rack for my garage door. With limited wall space, the garage door seemed to be the best option for me. Used a similar commercially-made clip-on system for a few years. My garage door mechanic urged me to remove it. It adds a substantial amount of weight to the the door, and makes the mechanism work harder than it's designed to . . . especially in FL where we have heavy, hurricane-resistant doors to begin with.
