Looks awesome! I screwed a pool noodle to my wall and put some cuts in it with a razor blade about 5 inches apart. Works great and was cheap as hell!!! Thanks for the video. I always love your content.
Fishing and Stuff, You know whats Awosome........The 1/2 Ridgid Impact Gun. just got one worth every penny. Rips Bolts off my 21 year old Chevy Suburban like butter. God Bless
I have left over aluminum angle iron. I'm going to put them on the corners and sandwich two bricks between the boards using silicone to hold them in place.
Hey Keiff, Glad to see another video man. That's an awesome looking and solid rod rack. Glad you made it your own. It looks a lot better. thanks for the great video. We're always waiting for more. That's Awesome!
You are true mancintic , I appreciate you , and you're show , I'm slowing down , yes I hate it , I'm 64 and my family is telling me you y getting old ,, and when I get load , as a fisherman we have always come up with ways , to keep it cheeper , or ways to make things easier for us , love your videos man , beo watching for years ,
Now that's a worthy project and good looking to boot... Another way to save a little money is to repurpose old bed frames to make the stand. You can usually find them at any metal recycling post and they're strong to boot!!😁
I really like how sometimes you take an already good idea and take it to the next level. Great point that you could use blocks of wood instead of metal & you really don't need the PVC, that really reduces the price
I Love, Me some Ugly Stick's too, I've used em' since 1987 when I was fishing alot of tournaments back then. And, I still use several Lightning Rod's also.
That was a great looking rod rack great job Keith that gave me a really good idea how to store my rods in my garage I don't have a quarter of the room you do and I have 3 times the stuff but mine falls along the junk category
I love the fact that you did this one and made it look less DIY’ish that is a sexy pro looking rod rack rite there and “That’s Awesome”! I could see tackle shops buying those to display high end rods! (Like those beautiful Hellcats) that rack is going to be exquisite when you get it full of both colors of Hellcats! Great job Buddy! I’ll be making a “weld free” version soon now! Thanks for all the great ideas brother!
I believe I’ve watched all your videos and usually try to catch them as they come out but if not I binge watch them till I catch up! I’m thinking I’m going to do an all wood version with a small shelf in front for tackle boxes and maybe some kind of line rack to spool off of and store line! Maybe even a weight box made to fit too!
@@FishinNStuff This channel and Project Farm are the only ones I've gotten feedback from the creator. I won't stop watching when the creator cares about his audience. Please keep it up. :)
I miss some comments sadly . Because I get alot of em but I try to reply . And I do that because I really appreciate you taking your time to watch and leave feedback thank you
Great video and as always love the imagination/ creativity you bring to the table. That rack gave me an idea for a possible firework build for mortars. Keep these ideas open for more than just fishing! Thanks!
I have over 60 rods and reels. (it took years to buy) This is also a nice-looking rod rack. I use Clorox disinfectant wipes to keep my R&Rs looking top-notch, and I usually go through the ones mainly used every winter. Feeling like I have a light case of OCD :) I like keeping even my old Zebco's in top shape. I'm a disabled Vietnam Vet and need to find a good hobby I think I'll be able to do. You have given me so many ideas. I look forward to your videos and enjoy the happy/funny way you express yourself. I plan to build a couple of these in a 12 R&R config. I'll need to figure out a good way to add locking wheels to move the rack. Keep the videos coming. They are excellent.
You made a very efficient and good looking rack. I will be making one myself. Thanks for the instructions man. I cant wait to get my rods looking right.
Excellent build 🤟👍🤪. I made a horizontal rack for my fly rod, not from pvc . From 1" by 1" & half " dowl rod. A fishing buddy came over, fell in luv with it . Don't have alot of room living in a 5th wheel 😉👊
Demolition sights and new construction sites are perfect places to go dumpster diving for tons of FREE scraps of all kinds of stuff like PVC, ABS, wood .......... Get the idea!!!!
Cool idea for a rod rack. I can't help to wonder why in the world would you need 24 of the same kind of fishing pole lol? I guess when you go fishing you go to really do some fishing lol
We can use as many as we want . I've collected alot of reels over the years and I was wanting a set with big hooks 9/0 and 10/0 . Then rig some for eater size catfish and hybrid . Some states only let you use 4 rods , in NC we generally use 10 to 12 rods in catfish tournaments . When I fished bass tournaments I would use 4 to 6 rods so I never had to change lures lol
Idea I recently came up with while trying to decide what to do with some old lead cast net weights. Got a pack of 6" steel leaders, slid the ounce a piece weights over the swivel and put a split ring on to hold them in place. The clip end is great for putting on a Carolina rig at the swivel, and you can adjust them from 2-5 oz. I got 40 or so weights off the net and will be making a bunch!
Another impressive build. You have outdone yourself on that one. The new rods look pretty sharp in it too. Now I want to see what you catch with them if you would be so kind as to show us please.
That was a cool build Keith!!! I wonder how some Harbor Freight casters would work on the frame so if you needed to move it you could roll it around!! Oh I love those HellCat Rods, orange stands out great!!!
Great rack! The drill bit bit is a forstner bit. I do wood working so that’s how I know that and like the wood rack better than pvc. Do you have any hacks for fishing boats? Picking up new tracker this week.
I have the same issue with cost. PVC is too much and commercial racks are worse. On my channel, we fish fresh and salt for damn near everything. In total, I have 62 rods not adding my boys' rods. This will work nicely. I am subscribed but never saw this video!
I have a nice light hack for my kayak. I use RGB all weather led from the automotive section of Walmart. I use industrial Velcro to fix them to the boat. I might make a quick video just for you to see. I absolutely love your channel.
As a follow on to this, you can use a heat gun to get the PVC more plastic and then push it over a soy sauce bottle to flare the end. That adds a really nice touch to those rod holding tubes.
If I had the floor space I would totally do this! I wonder though if you could flare out the pvc and then plasti dip the tips of the pvc it so it doesn’t potentially rub off the foam with the sharp pvc edges.
Nice work, as always. I really like that you’re improving/modifying older projects. And the affordability of this version is a pretty significant feature!! 👊🏻 Plus it’s really easy for each person to tweak the measurements to make a version that suits the need (Number of rods) and resources (Space available to put the rack into) to make the perfect custom product for the job. 🤓 Thanks for another great DIY. See ya on the next build!!

The prices you've shown on the shelf tags is down right scary. Those Hellcat rods perfectly match Sufix tangerine orange mono!
I love some Suffix line . Mostly because it a Copolymer line , very strong and smaller diameter
Brilliant thank you......the bit you used is called a Forstner bit.. stay safe
I have left over aluminum angle iron. I'm going to put them on the corners and sandwich two bricks between the boards using silicone to hold them in place.
Man I tell you what that's one of the nicest Rod racks I've seen anywhere on any channel thanks for sharing that buddy good job
I like this video, and you're also right, use what you got, the more you do, the cheaper it becomes.
Yep
I don’t know why, but I love this guy!

Thank you brother . You should do it seriously . I don't have time to sell stuff but I would have bought one . I like it that much

I like the way it turned out as well

A helpful tip, hemistats are great to tie hooks on, remove hooks, make flys, and make alot of things simpler.

What type of reels are you using 🤔. Thanks for sharing
i was wondering the same thing- been looking at slime cat rods but really like these hellcats
I'm using Abu garcia 6500s . The HellCats are a little high but I really liked em . I waited till the CatCon they had a very good sale running
It's called a Forstner bit. Great idea and cheap to make.
