George saying “you didn’t go over the wall” to me felt like he was talking about their whole marriage not just their first meeting. From the beginning Charlotte had the choice to leave George and every time she choose to stand by him and love him. Such a beautiful story and a great reaction from you guys.
You're the 1st reaction I've watched that felt the way I did during the childbirth scene. I love how George valued Lady Danbury's childbirth experience over the doctor's expertise. Their mid-husband/doula combo easily saved Charlotte and their son's lives...
Lol...me too, no crying in front of people. I'm not really crier but definitely don't want to do it in front of people. When I saw him cry I thought he is way in touch with his feelings than me and I was happy to see a man, a black man able to show that.😊
I think at the end that Violet and Agatha both knew that each other knew about the affair with Violet's dad and they both just decided to drop the subject. I really enjoyed your reactions and discussions of this series! Looking forward to what you'll do next.
Charlotte couldn’t be her children’s mother when she had to be the mother of England partially fulfilling George’s duty and to whom she’s given her life to, like Brimsley said. The ending cinematically is a timeless classic with such emotional depth from the actors, the young talents truly wowed the audiences and again, Shonda showed us what she’s Shonda. Thanks for sharing your reactions with us, you chose an excellent one to build your audience. Can’t wait to see what 6/17 Netflix Tadum fan event in Brazil has in store for QC 🥰
I think Violet dad cared for her, but he didn't want to cause a scandal because he mentioned what a good reputation she had, and if he kept seeing her, he might have been able to leave. The scene under the got me, too. I love watching your reaction.
he could have acted less than a rake and talked to Agatha in private… as for Charlotte’s brother, look at her face when he mentioned her giving him more children Violet was a young girl when Agatha was widowed… I don’t think it’d be appropriate for them to have that discussion, especially as Lady Danbury never truly got over her heartbreak. She’s gone through enough, I don’t want to watch her being blamed for having had a vulnerable human moment (after what she went through with her husband). Violet’s offense at having been told that, even as as widow, she had been most fortunate, actually suggests to me that she’s not ready for such. When my husband died, more than one person came to his funeral to tell me similar words. It was bloody awful and I still don’t know which is worse… that we had been blessed with deep intimacy or that all those others had never experienced that connection. so,I did get the meaning and wept
@@a.noriega-gonzalez6801 We agree. He should've given Lady Danbury the closure she deserved one on one. More kids was definitely a deal breaker for Agatha. She wasn't interested! We agree that Violet probably wasn't ready, but a secret like that could put a strain on a relationship. Also, thank you for sharing your story. ❤ One of the great things about this show is, it hits on so many things we still feel and deal with today. 🥲
You have no idea how I excited I was to see you had posted this! I love the serious way you watch and discuss. ❤ Y'all love them and I love y'all. I think Lord Ledger loved Lady Danbury. They fell in love on those walks. But he didn't want to endanger her reputation or ruin Violet's home. He was a good man. So he had to stop before any real damage. You know his wife would have loved to destroy Lady Danbury's reputation.
I think I cried as much as you two. When her kid were young they never knew all she was dealing with going through. And as a middle child of a family of 10 kids, there is always some who think they do not get enough attention and she had 15! Charlotte had to hold the king together and ensure that he did not lose his crown and have all those children to secure his line. But after researching it was good to know that they did have some good years. George would have episodes that lasted hours or days, he did not actually have to live separately until 1788 when he was 49 years old and always gone. We also learned from his mother that George was physically abused by his grandfather as a child so his life started off traumatic. Loved this story and your reactions so much. I think she wears the gowns in the style that helps George to remember her even in Bridgerton. She died one year before him and I imagine him going under the bed waiting for his Charlotte and I break down.😭😭. My only issue with the show is, What happened to Reynolds?
Right about middle kids. Thank you! She had 15 kids in 20 years. By this time, the 3 youngest were dead. Amelia's death is the reason George was going off when Charlotte visited him in Season 1. So basically, every kid is a middle child except Georgie. And she never sold any of them off to be married as teenagers. How is the Queen supposed to be running after these grown adults asking about their hobbies? I think Charlotte deserves more sympathy. She had it rough and those kids weren't asking how she felt. She kept her mask on at all times. But Brimsley knows when she is about to cry and that she never wants to cry.
Reynolds is still around, he and Brimsley broke up because the further into his illness George fell, Charlotte moved out because it hurt to see George like that every day, Brimsley left with her and Reynolds stayed with his King. They simply drifted apart.
@@AtypicalReactions I don’t think so, because they might not have anticipated how much fans would be invested in them… There might be a line or maybe a scene, but I don’t think we’re going to get more from those two. Maybe there will be more of Charlotte and Brimsley and more of Violet and Agatha or the three of them together but I think Reynolds and Brimsley are done. Which even though it’s sad does speak to how much everyone else’s lives stop for the king. Charlotte does not move forward in her clothing. She does not move forward enough to be a mother to her children. Brimsley cannot find another love because the woman he serves has frozen in time, so he must freeze as well. Reynolds and George disappear from our screens because they disappear from their lives, it’s very bittersweet
I've watched a heap of reactions to this episode and I can categorically say NO-ONE (men or women) made it through that last scene without shedding a tear. Such a beautiful, perfect ending to a true love story...
If Violet can get over Lady Danbury knowing about the dowry situation in Bridgerton 2 she can get over the rendezvous Lady Danbury had with her Dad. I believe Violet and Lady Danbury came to a womanly understanding on her Dad and the hat situation/ rendezvous.
Loved your reaction. Never hold back your emotions that's one of the things we love to see and connect with in reaction channels. ❤ Thank you both for reacting to this!
I just listened to the audiobook and there are a few changes. The relationship of the Queen with Brimsley is a little better. I appreciated that she wasn't oblivious to him not being married or even that he likes men. In the show, I was disappointed that she would be with him all those years and not know that he doesn't have a significant other. In the book she becomes very aware of her subjects needs. Like the fact that when she picks her own oranges someone was dismissed ie fired. She becomes aware that her decisions matter and she can't act on a whim. At the royal ball, her and George go to have a moment alone and actually see Raynolds & Brimsley dancing. George knew about Reynolds and kept his secret just like Raynolds kept George's secret for years. Charlotte commented about how happy they looked together, like them. Then they let them be, figuring they needed the space more than they did. So QC was very aware. Not sure why the show decided to make her unaware. It makes her seem unnecessarily cold and self centered. The book (as usual) adds a few nice details like that.

@@AtypicalReactions Yeah, that was just so wrong. If she truly just came because she was trying to get out of her mother's hair, he should have waited for another time to have the talk. It was not right how he did it, and I really don't like him as much now.
I think Lady Danbury and Violet have come to a silent understanding now and don't need to say out loud that something happened between Lady Danbury and Lord Ledger.
I think she told the brother no because she didn't want to be in a marriage again. I don't think Lord Ledger factored into it. I hope she had more (temporary) romances after this.
To clear up something, Lord Ledger didn't plan to bring Violet when he saw Lady Danbury. Violet was basically getting on her mother's nerves (Violet: "Getting out of mother's hair. But how can we be in her hair when our house has 20 rooms?") + there were early indications that Violet got on her mom's nerves (see: the ep when the Ledgers are introduced where they discuss the Danburys throwing the first ball) Perhaps, the fact he had to bring her made him realize how serious and damaging his continued affair with Lady Danbury would be for all of them. Maybe that's why he did the thinly veiled break up about how Violet's reputation should be as "unimpeachable as Lady Danbury's." I think he knew that his attraction to Lady Danbury was so strong that if he were to meet her alone...again... Could the break up have been handled differently? For sure. But do I get how it played out? Yeah. I do hope at some future point that Agatha got some closure which explains why older Agatha looks back on her liaison with him fondly.
Interesting. We took Lord Ledger's reaction to Violet's "20 rooms" comment as he felt like she was poking holes in his excuse for bringing her. We believe he was sincere in not wanting to ruin her reputation. We agree, she did seem to display some level of closure when she said she loved and was loved.
Violet and Agatha NOT explicitly talking about Lord Ledger plays into the arc they have in the 'modern' day of this series. Like Lady Danbury says they are more than who they USED to be or are seen as by the ton (Herman Danbury's wife and widow and Edmund Bridgerton's wife and Viscountess). They are more than who they married or how many kids they had, they have lives and gardens outside of constant gossip and meddling in the younger generation's love lives. Is it messy? yes, but it's the point of Agatha pushing Violet to allow herself to want: life is a mess but you don't stop living, no matter your age.
Thank you! We're big fans of the Hunger Games series. Probably one of the most satisfying endings of a series. We've also watched the Planet of the Apes series. However these are both great recommendations. 😁
Many wanted Lady Danbury to tell Violet. Why would Lady Danbury owe Violet an explanation about her relationship with her father? Should have Lord Ledger told his daughter? Is it common practice for people discuss their sex lives with their children? What do you think?
You're right Lady Danbury didn't owe Violet an explanation. When Violet became aware, we assumed she would discuss her relationship with Lord Ledger since they were close friends.
I don’t think Lady D, owed Violet any explanation either, and I think she is right to tell Violet in that last scene of them together that she needs to leave it in the past, which what I think she was telling her, but I think we might see some fallout in season 3, between violet and Lady D, violet loved her dad and idolized him so finding out that he cheated might be something she has to come to terms with, children often has problems seeing faults in their parents.
She said no beause as a widow a nd a rich one, she had independence. Getting married again, made her the property of yet another man, no matter how high his rank, and dortunes. Also, she sis not want to have kids and as a prince Adolphus would have been expected to sire heirs. Also yes, Violet is aware of the affair, but, Lady D was Much older, she and Violet would not have had that conversation then, and now years have gone by...but S3 will provide additional explanation. 👍🏽

I was boo hooing all over again watching this reaction. 🥹
🙏🏾
She said no beause as a widow a nd a rich one, she had independence. Getting married again, made her the property of yet another man, no matter how high his rank, and dortunes. Also, she sis not want to have kids and as a prince Adolphus would have been expected to sire heirs.
Also yes, Violet is aware of the affair, but, Lady D was Much older, she and Violet would not have had that conversation then, and now years have gone by...but S3 will provide additional explanation. 👍🏽
I'm happy to hear that season 3 expands on this.
Watching this for the third time lol.
🤣 Wow! Thank you! Much appreciated🙏🏾😁
I’m very new to your channel but I really love it! I loved this season of Bridgerton Queen Charlotte. It’s my favorite season so far. It makes my love for Charlotte and Agatha and Violet so much stronger. I hope y’all will watch the next season of Bridgerton. I look forward to more of your content. New sub here. Absolutely enjoyed y’alls reaction and commentary. You don’t have a soul if you don’t have a reaction to the ending of this beautiful love story.
Thank you! And we are absolutely looking forward to reacting to the next season of Bridgerton. We had to FORCE ourselves not to watch Queen Charlotte while we were putting this page together. 🤣
