My oil pressure was going up and down and I then found oil all around my oil filter cooling housing and I replaced it and my oil pressure is still not right and when I start my car in the morning my gage says oil pressure is 80 degrees even after my car has been setting all night I failed to check out my connection real good when putting the new assembly in no check engine light has been on and it's a 2015 dodge charger se
@@jonathandeleon5588 Well My 6.0 LS with 117K its out of the vehicle on a engine stand took the oil pan off and took off the oil pickup tube to inspected the O Ring no pinches but flat around the outer edge so I put it back on again just so you know Im not reusing it but it just fell back in the hole of the oil pump with no resistance of pushing back in ,,So I bolted it down again and sprayed some soapy water on the area of the O ring and blew a little a compressed air and it was bubbling could this be the cause of a little loss of oil pressure ? Do O rings shrink over time ?
@@DELTRANIO99 hello we’re u able to fix the problem ? Mines is a 5.7 and when I accelerate it goes up and when I stop it goes under the level then goes up😅
I have a 2013 Silverado with the 4.3 L 6 cylinder. My Engine Light has just came on and the oil pressure is sitting at 20psi idling and goes up to 48-50psi when accelerating. The truck has 58,000 miles on it and doesn’t get driven daily as most trips are to grocery store or doctors appointments and back home which is generally 5 days out of the month. Any idea what my problem could be?
I just changed my oil on my 2010 Toyota Tundra and my oil pressure gauge is raising high when I accelerate. It’s never done that…I changed the oil pressure sensor And the engine performance still sucks….Feels like it’s struggling when I drive but it’s idling smooth. I’ve also been experiencing my fuel tank lines popping off at the top of the tank….weird things…I will check the oil pressure next.
Thank you for sharing your videos. Your videos helped me tremendously.
This was so helpful! Thank you so much!!!

If my guage is bouncing in idle and while driving coupled with a ticking noise that increases with acceleration, is my engine completely done?
Sounds like a lifter
What was your problem
Great info!
Great vid ,,I Notice my oil pressure goes up a little after deceleration any idea what cause that ?
Did you find out if it was your oil pressure sensor or not

Look into o ring on oil pick up tube. In GM trucks this is a common inexpensive fix but have to drop the oil pan to get to it.

How much would it cost to replace this?
