I also found it interesting, in the clip where she's leading Bible study, she says everything must be based on Scripture. I'm super interested in hearing her response to 1 Tim. 2 given her position.
There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.

I was at the SBC conference and heard her presentation as well as Rick Warren's for Saddleback. The interesting thing to me is that both of these pastors opened their presentation by saying they believe in the infallibility and inerrancy of the Bible. Then they turn around and go against part of that infallibility. It clearly states in scripture that the positions of Deacon and Pastor/Elder are reserved for men. All other roles can be shared by men and women. The SBC has gone through great strides to show their respect of women in ministry, evangelism and service. But the representatives at the conference voted to reject the appeals of both churches to rejoin as they both refuse to correct the issue and continue to go against the Scripture they say they follow. And by the way this was by far not the only thing discussed at this conference or done at this conference. But it is the one that the media has chosen to air due to it's nature and ability to cause conflict. It's a numbers game for them. The best of the conference was the commissioning of 79 new international missionaries, but I bet the media will not speak to that.
She appears to be a perfect example of why women are not to be pastors. As Paul states it's the same reason the serpent chose to tempt Eve first and not Adam. They are more susceptible to spiritual deception.

Why beg the SBC to take you back when you aren't wanted and they want to control your congregation? I was once a member of Fern Creek, and I'm disappointed they would grovel. Fern Creek should join the CBF which does what the Baptists were founded to do: let each church manage its congregation independently of a higher church authority.
Notice the lack of scriptural references? This isn’t a debate. If you’re not going to hold to the truth of scripture on one issue then just throw the whole thing out, since it’s just about your preferences.
If you wish to be a part of the SBC you must follow their rules. You knew you were violating Denomination Doctrine, right or wrong, you agreed to those rules to be a part of SBC.
