The disadvantage to losing Gemini is that they'd lose a coaster that families could ride together. I know there's complaints out there that the coaster collection is "too extreme" for families, so I think a GCI like Mystic Timbers could be a good fit here.
I think this is one of the reasons that Gemini has lasted as long as it has, It's a family coaster, and often the stepping stone for kids to move on to more intense "adult" coasters. Although The Blue Streak also fills thst slot as well, and isn't in a "prime spot".
Yes! Gemini was my first "real" coaster in 1985 when I was 8. I went on with my mom and dad and Gemini is the reason I love roller coasters still. I feel like it still is a real exciting coaster. I would hate to see it torn down even though it seems likely.
Looks like the new Wild Mouse is gonna be its replacement. As it’s compact and takes up little space compared to Gemini. And then they will use Gemini space for an even badder ride.
The only good way to pay homage to a masterpiece like Gemini would be to do like a RMC Racer, maybe even a single rail racer, or something like Twisted Colossus, since the Midwest doesn't have one yet.

Whatever helps you cope, lets get real, Gemini doesn't have much life in it left, with gerstlauer announcing a "big record breaking project" (something only cedar fair would do at cedar point) in a "challenging location" (cedar point is land locked) I think it's fair to say that we know what's coming, also the last giant S&S 4D coaster opened in China, and China gets all the stuff we don't, and the one before that opened in Japan, so I'm sorry to say, but we are probably getting an infinity coaster, which I like, I'm glad the U.S. is getting more of gerstlauer, they make some good stuff, I know it's hard to let Gemini go, but you have to understand that cedar fair considers it a 50 something year old piece of shit, and if the owners think it is, it might as well be left for dead, I know this is deeply saddening to you but I'm going to give you some advice: Don't be a bitch, enjoy what you're getting

It seems fair to think that Gemini's days are numbered based on age, but it's a capacity machine and runs pretty smooth (it was actually my second favorite coaster after Steel Vengeance on my first trip, don't judge I was only able to get on seven coasters due to capacity/covid-restrictions). Wicked Twister has definitely gotta be the next one to go with how slow it operates and how popular the park has gotten since it was first installed.
I remember the tv specials in the ‘90s that had the promo shots of Gemini in it with the trains synched up and it made the coaster look absolutely huge.

I think something that could be really cool is a flying coaster that weaves around the island forbidden frontier is on, around and over the pathways as well as interacting with the water if they didn't want to get rid of a ride
I absolutely love Gemini and would hate to lose it. I love how hyped up the fans get on the coaster, smacking hands with the other train passengers while going around the really slow turns that we all love to hate but just can't, chearing their train on as theirs passes the other train in hopes to beat the other during the ride and boasting their triumph at the end. That is what makes that ride and brings riders back time after time, the interaction with the other train. That is something I think is rare to have in a dueling coaster and would hate to lose.
I think Gemini is one of those coasters so steeped in history and tradition that whatever you replace it with has to pay tribute to it in some way. As an Ohioan, I consider it almost as much of an institution as King's Island's Beast. My feeling is that the dueling GCI inverting is probably the best option you put forth here, because it feels like a modernization of the Gemini concept. Indeed, they could call it Gemini II, or otherwise include "Gemini" in the name somehow. And some element of the original coaster could be included in the queue area, to further pay tribute to it. I know nostalgia is not high on Cedar Point's priority list, but I feel like the Gemini is so beloved that it should be an exception.
I think a Mack extreme spinner should've been mentioned as well. I think that could be very marketable and the records are pretty attainable (unless they want to beat "Big Air"s height). They're pricey and capacity could be an issue but I have faith Mack and Cedar Point could find ways to work with that. It seems like a guaranteed winner. Otherwise I pretty much agree with the video entirely. I also think an S&S 4D would definitely get my attention maybe even more than the 500ft "barrier", when you mentioned it I got chills because Cedar Fair is finally working with S&S and S&S still lists the model. Capacity and cost are still concerns, but that would be an incredible addition.
This is gonna sound crazy, but I'm thinking a big scale S&S 4D Coaster that puts Eejanaika to shame. If they got rid of one of the parking lots they might, just *might* have room.

I love Gemini too. I hope it outlives Cedar Creek Mine Ride AND Iron Dragon. Both are also probably near the end of their useful life spans. Also both take up pretty good chunks of land too. Fingers crossed for an epic Infinity coaster no matter where it is built at the park.
You should do the other CP coasters that are probably on their way out: Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Corkscrew, Wilderness Run, Iron Dragon, and even Magnum XL-200. I know some of these older rides are quite popular (and Gemini certainly is), but these old Arrow coasters all have to be inching towards technical obsolescence.
So, from a dimensions standpoint, this is the plot of land at Cedar Point that can go much bigger than the current dimensions of Gemini. The area for Sand Castle Suites hasn't been used. You can use the existing plot of land for a modern wooden coaster AND with a station and entry point to a truly massive long and narrow layout. Punch out the back of the Gemini plot, over Perimeter Road, through the Soak City parking lot, and run it all the way to Lake Erie with a massive turnaround on the Sand Castle Suites plot The coaster takes over the plot for the road that runs to the Sand Castle Suites site, as you no longer need a road to a hotel that doesn't exist. So, it would have a layout like Magnum XL (or Leviathan or Fury), long and narrow. I see this being the B&M Hyper model, and as tall as the model would support. Would it be able to go 350 feet or 375 feet? It could also be a T-Rex. Cedar Fair loves their B&M capacity coasters, and this could be absolutely massive. It would be much different with the signature B&M floater that isn't on Millennium Force, and it can claim the record for the tallest coaster with a lift hill.
This is a historic ride. The experience you get reaching out of the side if the train to try and touch people in the other train. This coaster has reached historic status. It's almost a half a century old and still runs as smooth as the day it opened. It has no bad transitions and is a one of a kind rare arrow coaster that should be kept. Ide rather have raptor, iron dragon, mine ride, corkscrew, gate keeper, Val ravin, rougaru, all removed at the same time if it meant saving Gemini I feel the coaster enthusiasts community needs to raise money to save these rare old coasters. Keep them in their own park.
I love how there is like beef between parks and manufacturers it just seems so cool to me. It’s also super interesting to find out why. Like even though it was horrific that the poor woman fell out of Texas Giant, it caused a great story between the end of Six Flags and Gurstlauer. And then with Cedar Fair and Intamin and shoot the rapids and the reliability issues. And with Six Flags and B&M and Six Flags and Intamin etc. It’s just such a cool concept to me (although it does come at the expense of not getting their rides)
Thank you for bringing up the S&S 4D, i've been saying this for years! Cedar Point could really go all out with that coaster and it fills a need for them which is weird to say. People always rave about Eejanieka and X2. The other model people talk up all the time is the intamin pre fab which now that cedar point doesn't have a wooden coaster I could see them breaking 200ft with... if they can fix their relationship with Intamin...

Great video but the smiler isn’t just inversions! There are 2 absolutely amazing airtime moments especially the 2nd hill. When your on the ride it doesn’t even feel repetitive.
Gemini will NOT go before rougarou. I’m sorry, but Gemini is one of the funnest coasters there (THE FUNNEST in my opinion, I’ve been on all the rides). It’s also the only rude if it’s kind at cedar point, while rougarou just feels like raptor but the seats aren’t hanging.

Great video! Quick check, 8:22, isn't Xcelerator the first Intamin Accelerator? According to a quick Google search, CF bought Knott's in 97, so they would have bought Xcelerator in 2002.
A normal, non-inverting, dueling GCI would be the absolute best fit. Getting rid of Gemini would leave CP without a dueling coaster, and it carries on the Gemini legacy by having a wooden structure and by dueling. They can make it a mobius loop coaster and advertise it as the longest wooden roller coaster in the world. Bonus points if they use a West Coast Racers style pit-stop to ensure duels.

You missed one solid option... The Xtreme Spinning coaster from Mack rides. With the new relationship bettween Cedar Fair and Mack, and this new version beginning to become popular, I think is a good option. And will also be easy to build the tallest fastest longest, and with most inversions, spinning coaster of the world. That REALLY sounds awesome
Honestly working there for more than one year in a row gemini is still pretty popular among people and it's history in the park is keeping them from replacing it also because so many people love the racing coasters and being able to high-five the other train keeps people on it (weird reasons ik) but it's starting to become like blue streak where if it keeps running and being rode they will keep it ,also it's a good starter ride for younger people first visiting the park (it was my first ride aswell) . That and they don't really have muck maintence on it or issues other than the support checks and repainting the station every few years
Cedar Fair already has that with _Banshee_ at Kings Island. Perhaps the inversion record for an inverted coaster would be worth breaking, but I can't see Cedar Fair outdoing themselves for length-especially at Cedar Point, where space is limited by the size of the peninsula.
Gemini is a legit terrific ride, and one of the best Arrow rides still in operation. I always see speculation that it will be on the way out, but I actually think that the Point tends to keep classics around if they at all can. Disaster Transport was the most major deletion in the last few decades, and I don't think that was ever as popular as Gemini. Not that it's unthinkable, I think think that a lot of people assume Cedar Fair would part with it more readily than they would.
Dont see them adding that many inversions. Gemini is a great coaster for the entire family, gotta replace it with something that also is fun for the whole family, i think.
I’m thinking the dueling GCI would be the best option because no one has done it before and that is what Cedar Point is always pushing for. Since the plans for the B&M Surf Coaster is still happening at SeaWorld Orlando, I guess we wait and see what that will look like. I think Cedar Point announces the new coaster at the end of this year!
IF: Cedar Point was to go for something huge, (like a 500-foot T-Rex) and.. IF: They were to replace Gemini to do it... They would need to go beyond Gemini's plot, and combine it with something like Cedar Creek Mine Ride's plot of land, or go over Steel Vengeance's plot into its infield. I feel like, in both scenarios, it makes more sense to remove CCMR instead and combine it with the Shoot the Chutes plot, and maybe more of Millennium island to install something massive. Iron Dragon's plot extending onto Millennium Island also makes a lot of sense for a massive addition. Of course, if you do either of those you've lost a solid family ride, so in either scenario, replacing Gemini with a single or dueling family ride makes a lot of sense. Imagine a dueling/racing Firechaser Express sort of attraction. A real people-eater and crowd pleaser in that plot.

While it is a weaker link, I'm of the opinion that Gemini should stick around because it's a good intermediate coaster. Not every ride needs 5 inversions and world-class thrills. But as you said, I don't know where else they'll get space from either.

I feel like whatever replaces Gemini should be racing/dueling. A GCI is probably the best option. Could even reuse some of the structure. Give it some good airtime and cool dueling elements, but skip the inversions so that it's still appealing for families. The Wicked Twister plot could be used to break the inversion record.
CP could even use RMC with a custom dueling Raptor, posdibly longer than Jersy Devil (that would help with capacity 2×10). They could possibly increase it to a 12 car train with 24 riders per cycle with dueling. I love the new S&S Axis concept, a Vakoma flyer or even a MACK extreme spin. Something CP doesn't have.
The park surely is packed. I remember I only had one day here and did all the coasters in one day, and it was a mistake. When I was done, I felt so sick lmao
Keep in mind the area of that park... It's relatively family-oriented outside of the slingshot. If, and its a big if, Gemini goes (which I highly doubt anytime soon) it's gonna be a large-scale family coaster. Not a thrill coaster. The park already doesn't have many family coasters, why would they remove one to put in an inversion record-setter, or a B&M Flyer?
My prediction: a Mack Xtreme Spinner. One of the few coaster types Cedar Point is lacking is a spinning coaster. I could totally see them going with crazy record-breaking Mack Xtreme Spinner.
I wonder whether Cedar point would really want to replace all their family coasters with something extreme. I am sure they still want to keep the park attractive for families and non-thrillseekers with less intense rollercoasters, so replacing Gemini with a family coaster or a mild thrill coaster without inversions would make the most sense. Personally I think that out of the options you listed a wooden coaster by either Gravity Group or GCI would be the most likely one. Another option that I could see coming to the park is a Mack family spinning coaster, as Cedar point doesn't have a spinner. If they go with a more extreme coaster as you seem to predict, I think the most likely option would be to add extreme in front of the spinner, again to patch the lack of a spinning coaster in the park, but I somehow doubt that.
I have another good idea for what would replace Gemini. A Setpoint Seizmic. If you don’t know about this coaster, it’s that coaster with two trains on one track. Occasionally, the track splits into two and both trains will twist around on these mini tracks. You may know this coaster as it is in RCT3. I would love it if Setpoint brings back this coaster and Cedar Point will get the first one in the world to replace Gemini.
How about a dueling/racing raptor? Solves the capacity problem, and they could get the first racing raptor and/or tallest, longest raptor if its a twisted collossus-style mobius loop w/1 station

I think you’re missing the obvious: a Mack extreme spinner. They have nothing like that at all. My second guess would be an RMC version of Gemini, ala Twisted Collosus. I know you might think that unlikely because of SV, but I think it would be a huge winner and budget friendly. It would give them a modern dueling coaster without the cost of tearing down the entire structure and building something from scratch.
I think Blue Streak, Corkscrew and Cedar Creek Mine Ride are all more likely to get demoed than Gemini. Gemini is still fairly popular in comparison to those rides. Mine Ride in particular gives them the largest footprint plus room over the lagoon where Shoot the Rapids used to be. This would be a perfect spot for something comparable to Smiler imo.
Personally, I think the most likely scenario is that they contract Gerstlauer to build a 200+ vertical drop coaster to outdo the quality of Karnan and take the inversion record from Smiler. The Infinity coasters are generally fit on rather small plots of land, so if this was being built for Gemini’s plot, I imagine that this thing would make Karnan and Smiler look like kiddie rides by comparison

That is what makes that ride and brings riders back time after time, the interaction with the other train. That is something I think is rare to have in a dueling coaster and would hate to lose.

This is a great family rollercoaster, and I sincerely hope it remains for a long time to come.
I think Gemini is one of those coasters so steeped in history and tradition that whatever you replace it with has to pay tribute to it in some way. As an Ohioan, I consider it almost as much of an institution as King's Island's Beast. My feeling is that the dueling GCI inverting is probably the best option you put forth here, because it feels like a modernization of the Gemini concept. Indeed, they could call it Gemini II, or otherwise include "Gemini" in the name somehow. And some element of the original coaster could be included in the queue area, to further pay tribute to it. I know nostalgia is not high on Cedar Point's priority list, but I feel like the Gemini is so beloved that it should be an exception.
They need an anti-steel curtain Steelers theme coaster called "The Chubb".
I think a Mack extreme spinner should've been mentioned as well. I think that could be very marketable and the records are pretty attainable (unless they want to beat "Big Air"s height). They're pricey and capacity could be an issue but I have faith Mack and Cedar Point could find ways to work with that. It seems like a guaranteed winner.
Otherwise I pretty much agree with the video entirely.
I also think an S&S 4D would definitely get my attention maybe even more than the 500ft "barrier", when you mentioned it I got chills because Cedar Fair is finally working with S&S and S&S still lists the model. Capacity and cost are still concerns, but that would be an incredible addition.
This is gonna sound crazy, but I'm thinking a big scale S&S 4D Coaster that puts Eejanaika to shame. If they got rid of one of the parking lots they might, just *might* have room.

I love Gemini too. I hope it outlives Cedar Creek Mine Ride AND Iron Dragon. Both are also probably near the end of their useful life spans. Also both take up pretty good chunks of land too. Fingers crossed for an epic Infinity coaster no matter where it is built at the park.
You should do the other CP coasters that are probably on their way out: Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Corkscrew, Wilderness Run, Iron Dragon, and even Magnum XL-200. I know some of these older rides are quite popular (and Gemini certainly is), but these old Arrow coasters all have to be inching towards technical obsolescence.
If they take out the mine train they have to put in another family ride, they need that depth
So, from a dimensions standpoint, this is the plot of land at Cedar Point that can go much bigger than the current dimensions of Gemini. The area for Sand Castle Suites hasn't been used. You can use the existing plot of land for a modern wooden coaster AND with a station and entry point to a truly massive long and narrow layout. Punch out the back of the Gemini plot, over Perimeter Road, through the Soak City parking lot, and run it all the way to Lake Erie with a massive turnaround on the Sand Castle Suites plot The coaster takes over the plot for the road that runs to the Sand Castle Suites site, as you no longer need a road to a hotel that doesn't exist. So, it would have a layout like Magnum XL (or Leviathan or Fury), long and narrow. I see this being the B&M Hyper model, and as tall as the model would support. Would it be able to go 350 feet or 375 feet? It could also be a T-Rex. Cedar Fair loves their B&M capacity coasters, and this could be absolutely massive. It would be much different with the signature B&M floater that isn't on Millennium Force, and it can claim the record for the tallest coaster with a lift hill.
I think that it will most likely the Record-Breaking Infinity coaster coming to America that gerstlauer teased.
Went to cedar point back when dragster opened. The park was packed with many multi hour lines, so after riding dragster we marathoned gemini

A dueling over 200 foot El Toro-like coaster would be awesome.
This is a historic ride. The experience you get reaching out of the side if the train to try and touch people in the other train. This coaster has reached historic status. It's almost a half a century old and still runs as smooth as the day it opened. It has no bad transitions and is a one of a kind rare arrow coaster that should be kept. Ide rather have raptor, iron dragon, mine ride, corkscrew, gate keeper, Val ravin, rougaru, all removed at the same time if it meant saving Gemini
I feel the coaster enthusiasts community needs to raise money to save these rare old coasters. Keep them in their own park.

I love how there is like beef between parks and manufacturers it just seems so cool to me. It’s also super interesting to find out why. Like even though it was horrific that the poor woman fell out of Texas Giant, it caused a great story between the end of Six Flags and Gurstlauer. And then with Cedar Fair and Intamin and shoot the rapids and the reliability issues. And with Six Flags and B&M and Six Flags and Intamin etc. It’s just such a cool concept to me (although it does come at the expense of not getting their rides)

Thank you for bringing up the S&S 4D, i've been saying this for years! Cedar Point could really go all out with that coaster and it fills a need for them which is weird to say. People always rave about Eejanieka and X2. The other model people talk up all the time is the intamin pre fab which now that cedar point doesn't have a wooden coaster I could see them breaking 200ft with... if they can fix their relationship with Intamin...

Great video but the smiler isn’t just inversions! There are 2 absolutely amazing airtime moments especially the 2nd hill. When your on the ride it doesn’t even feel repetitive.
Gemini will NOT go before rougarou. I’m sorry, but Gemini is one of the funnest coasters there (THE FUNNEST in my opinion, I’ve been on all the rides). It’s also the only rude if it’s kind at cedar point, while rougarou just feels like raptor but the seats aren’t hanging.

A normal, non-inverting, dueling GCI would be the absolute best fit. Getting rid of Gemini would leave CP without a dueling coaster, and it carries on the Gemini legacy by having a wooden structure and by dueling. They can make it a mobius loop coaster and advertise it as the longest wooden roller coaster in the world. Bonus points if they use a West Coast Racers style pit-stop to ensure duels.
Problem with that last part is a lift hill would already kill momentum, and GCI has never attempted a launch

You missed one solid option... The Xtreme Spinning coaster from Mack rides. With the new relationship bettween Cedar Fair and Mack, and this new version beginning to become popular, I think is a good option. And will also be easy to build the tallest fastest longest, and with most inversions, spinning coaster of the world. That REALLY sounds awesome

Honestly working there for more than one year in a row gemini is still pretty popular among people and it's history in the park is keeping them from replacing it also because so many people love the racing coasters and being able to high-five the other train keeps people on it (weird reasons ik) but it's starting to become like blue streak where if it keeps running and being rode they will keep it ,also it's a good starter ride for younger people first visiting the park (it was my first ride aswell) . That and they don't really have muck maintence on it or issues other than the support checks and repainting the station every few years
Don't forget about Axis from S&S, Cedar Fair would be the type of park that would bring newest idea first.

Cedar Fair already has that with _Banshee_ at Kings Island. Perhaps the inversion record for an inverted coaster would be worth breaking, but I can't see Cedar Fair outdoing themselves for length-especially at Cedar Point, where space is limited by the size of the peninsula.
Gemini is a legit terrific ride, and one of the best Arrow rides still in operation. I always see speculation that it will be on the way out, but I actually think that the Point tends to keep classics around if they at all can. Disaster Transport was the most major deletion in the last few decades, and I don't think that was ever as popular as Gemini. Not that it's unthinkable, I think think that a lot of people assume Cedar Fair would part with it more readily than they would.
Dont see them adding that many inversions. Gemini is a great coaster for the entire family, gotta replace it with something that also is fun for the whole family, i think.
A Gravity Group duelling woodie could work. With a focus on airtime and laterals, it could work really well.

I’m thinking the dueling GCI would be the best option because no one has done it before and that is what Cedar Point is always pushing for. Since the plans for the B&M Surf Coaster is still happening at SeaWorld Orlando, I guess we wait and see what that will look like. I think Cedar Point announces the new coaster at the end of this year!

They would need to go beyond Gemini's plot, and combine it with something like Cedar Creek Mine Ride's plot of land, or go over Steel Vengeance's plot into its infield.
I feel like, in both scenarios, it makes more sense to remove CCMR instead and combine it with the Shoot the Chutes plot, and maybe more of Millennium island to install something massive. Iron Dragon's plot extending onto Millennium Island also makes a lot of sense for a massive addition.
Of course, if you do either of those you've lost a solid family ride, so in either scenario, replacing Gemini with a single or dueling family ride makes a lot of sense. Imagine a dueling/racing Firechaser Express sort of attraction. A real people-eater and crowd pleaser in that plot.

While it is a weaker link, I'm of the opinion that Gemini should stick around because it's a good intermediate coaster. Not every ride needs 5 inversions and world-class thrills. But as you said, I don't know where else they'll get space from either.

I feel like whatever replaces Gemini should be racing/dueling. A GCI is probably the best option. Could even reuse some of the structure. Give it some good airtime and cool dueling elements, but skip the inversions so that it's still appealing for families. The Wicked Twister plot could be used to break the inversion record.
CP could even use RMC with a custom dueling Raptor, posdibly longer than Jersy Devil (that would help with capacity 2×10). They could possibly increase it to a 12 car train with 24 riders per cycle with dueling.
I love the new S&S Axis concept, a Vakoma flyer or even a MACK extreme spin. Something CP doesn't have.

If, and its a big if, Gemini goes (which I highly doubt anytime soon) it's gonna be a large-scale family coaster. Not a thrill coaster.

My prediction: a Mack Xtreme Spinner. One of the few coaster types Cedar Point is lacking is a spinning coaster. I could totally see them going with crazy record-breaking Mack Xtreme Spinner.
I wonder whether Cedar point would really want to replace all their family coasters with something extreme. I am sure they still want to keep the park attractive for families and non-thrillseekers with less intense rollercoasters, so replacing Gemini with a family coaster or a mild thrill coaster without inversions would make the most sense.
Personally I think that out of the options you listed a wooden coaster by either Gravity Group or GCI would be the most likely one. Another option that I could see coming to the park is a Mack family spinning coaster, as Cedar point doesn't have a spinner.
If they go with a more extreme coaster as you seem to predict, I think the most likely option would be to add extreme in front of the spinner, again to patch the lack of a spinning coaster in the park, but I somehow doubt that.

I have another good idea for what would replace Gemini. A Setpoint Seizmic. If you don’t know about this coaster, it’s that coaster with two trains on one track. Occasionally, the track splits into two and both trains will twist around on these mini tracks. You may know this coaster as it is in RCT3. I would love it if Setpoint brings back this coaster and Cedar Point will get the first one in the world to replace Gemini.

@@tismejaytee Haha, the only thing thats scary is sitting on the launch track. Once you start going no fear can compare to it. It's like riding a drop tower ride, while you're sitting at the top you're questioning why you decided to ride it, but after getting off you want to ride again.

I think you’re missing the obvious: a Mack extreme spinner. They have nothing like that at all. My second guess would be an RMC version of Gemini, ala Twisted Collosus. I know you might think that unlikely because of SV, but I think it would be a huge winner and budget friendly. It would give them a modern dueling coaster without the cost of tearing down the entire structure and building something from scratch.
Xtreme spinner is possible. I wonder how CP would put their record breaking twist on it
I hope that Gemini stays forever, if the tracks themselves are the problem, I would say to retrack it.
I think Blue Streak, Corkscrew and Cedar Creek Mine Ride are all more likely to get demoed than Gemini. Gemini is still fairly popular in comparison to those rides. Mine Ride in particular gives them the largest footprint plus room over the lagoon where Shoot the Rapids used to be. This would be a perfect spot for something comparable to Smiler imo.
Personally, I think the most likely scenario is that they contract Gerstlauer to build a 200+ vertical drop coaster to outdo the quality of Karnan and take the inversion record from Smiler. The Infinity coasters are generally fit on rather small plots of land, so if this was being built for Gemini’s plot, I imagine that this thing would make Karnan and Smiler look like kiddie rides by comparison
