Incredibly underrated ejector airtime moment: The entry and exit of Zone 9 on Space Mountain in Florida. Third brake zone after you come off the lift hill. With a full train in the back row and a loose lap bar, you get absolutely shot out of your seat. You can’t really experience this right now because the rockets aren’t consistently loaded to the fullest and as a result, the rockets just don’t move as fast. But later in the day pre-COVID? Holy crap.
Extremely surprised to see Phoenix and Maverick so low on the list. I was speechless at how forceful they were on my first ride... especially Phoneix with the buzz bar. Also, I would argue the true strongest airtime moment on SkyRush is the turning airtime hill when you're on the outer left wing seat. Not only does the top of the hill push you up out of your seat, but the fast change in banking also yanks your seat downward at the same time. Another moment that left me speechless.
Yeah personally after riding about half of these coasters I think lrod makes their ejector moments look like floater. The quad down is the reason it’s my number one over rides like Steve, Phoenix, Maverick, sky rush, and voyage.
If the Packers make the Super Bowl; I would like to see a park battle from Chris. And literally it’s just going to be Zippin Pippin VS Cedar Point, Worlds of Fun, Six Flags America, or Six Flags Darien Lake. But I think neither, my prediction would be Saints VS Bills!!
As a Niners fan, I’m cheering for you guys! As a Bay Area native, I grew up watching Aaron Rogers sling the ball at Cal, so I’m thrilled to see this Packers team in the playoffs again. You guys deserve it! (Especially after we wrecked you guys twice last season). Good luck!
I got to say, Lightning Rod's Quad down (when it was working) was beyond the scale of just about any type of air time I've ever witnessed. 4 shots of ejector back, to back to back to back, with the last of those being highly sustained through the hill over the launch.
Next time anyone gets a chance to ride a Skyrocket II, go front row and feel the insane ejector as you crest the top, right before that slow heartline roll. It's insane, stronger than the drop in the back row (I've only ridden Tigris, which has the longer trains, so that's saying a lot).
Love how you gave 1-3 on Magnum alot of love. Alot of the older Magnum junkies call it "ejector seat" for a reason, and you'll likely change it to #1 if you get a trimless ride
I was hoping that the Double Down on Jackrabbit and the last drop on Racer at Kennywood would be on the list. Personally, I would also include the drop off the Top Hat on Skyrocket, too, but I know that you haven't ridden that yet. When you do get back to Kennywood, ride Skyrocket in the back, though, for some insane airtime.

I find the drop on top thrill dragster to have extremely underrated airtime. People say it doesnt have airtime, but it's literally a 400 ft vertical drop. I'm pretty sure it's impossible to not have insane airtime there
I would have to say El Toro number one for me. When I first went on it I had never really experienced any kind of ejector air time like that and I wasn't expecting it either. I took me by surprise and was really blown away.

The 4 final ejector bunny hills on Expedition Geforce and the first big ejector hill are absolutely out of this world. These moments are so strong, my legs hurt after 3 laps. no joke, it's insane I just couldn't comprehend the strength during my first ride, it still leaves me soeechless. If I had to compare the airtime to an American coaster. The first Drop in the back is also very good.
On Copperhead Strike I prefer the Stengal Dive for airtime, it feels like you get thrown out of your seat twice in the same element, mixing laterals with the airtime
First drop on Demon @ SFGAm in the last car. This drop really flies under the radar. The predrop builds up the speed to really launch you out of your seat before it switches gears and hits you with the high G loops.
Tornado -Stricker’s Grove - The drop before the final turn around I’ve not been on a lot of coasters, but I’ve been on Storm Chaser and Lightning Run, and all the woodies at HW. But all pale in comparison. It is strong ejector in the front, but in the back it is straight up looney toons cartoonish. My entire body slammed into the buzz bar and was dragged there. I swore, then giggled, and left that coaster with a bruised pelvis & a smile.
I can definitely agree with Full Throttle, Wildfire, Time Traveler, Iron Rattler, Maverick, Steel Vengeance, Goliath, Diamondback, Storm Chaser, Twisted Colossus, Raging Bull, El Toro, Raptors, and Zippin Pippin! Lightning Rod’s quad down is something else too! There are only a few left of these 30 I still have to get on!
Despite it not being in America, The grand national at blackpool pleasure beach uk has also got insane airtime, the 3rd drop and following airtime hill deliver insane ejector airtime and you do it with buzz bars too.
Thank you for giving love to Raging Bull! I rode it a few times between 1999 and 2004, and absolutely loved every ride, and am surprised at how much hate it gets from many enthusiasts.
Swamp Fox in Myrtle Beach is one of the most underrated coasters in the country. The airtime is amazing, not as many pops as Phoenix but IMO the airtime is stronger and more sustained. Highly recommend checking it out. Twisted Timbers, Jack Rabbit at KW and Lightning Rod are rides I think deserve a spot on this list as well. Lightning Run is probably in the hunt for the list as well.
The double dip on Jack Rabbit in Kennywood park, When you go down the second hill, you are ejected so high that you wonder if you will land back in your seat. Not bad, if you remember it was built 100 years ago
12:45 when Stunt Pilot opens, both the originals should be replaced with Stunt Pilot on this list cuz the trains on SP are way longer for a single rail
Ooh for sure it will somehow be even more insane. Also the drop right after the turnaround (the turnaround after thr twisted hill) will be more insane too
Loved this list! Thanks for using some of my footage. Also, the rolling Thunder hill is another airtime moment that really needs a full train, because there were times this season where we crawled over and got hardly any airtime.
Rollin thunder in Alabama has a couple of ejector hills at the end that blew the wind out of me. I think there is a clone in New York as well. It's not the best coaster, but she definitely got some kick to her.
What about the double down on Jack Rabbit? I feel like both times I rode in the back row on that I remember quite literally standing up on the second hill and that you basically did not have a choice.
@@AirtimeThrills Thanks for clarifying! It just sticks out so strongly in my mind as a violent bit of airtime but I suppose to each their own! And only one of us is the expert :)
I like the twisted airtime hill on Time Traveler but because you can start facing straight down, then immediately whip around facing straight up with that wild aburpt banking. I agree that it's a very underrated element.
Time traveler is like idk how to describe this ride first of all I get yanked out of my seat on that first drop and that switchback is intense but ejector airtime
Just got back from marathoning wildfire all day and that back row first drop is awesome. Some of the best floater airtime I've ever experienced your stomach is in your throat for a solid 3 seconds
Taking that switchback sideways facing toward the outer part of the turn on Time Traveler is INSANE WITH BACKWARDS EJECTOR. You just get Slammed into and absolutely folded over that lap bar if you get the right positioning. And then the turn itself going so close to the ground and Thunderation, then going into the zero g roll while spinning is one of the best feelings ever.
I think Magnum is the best coaster experience at CP. The back row or Magic Seat are great, the line is usually pretty short and it's one of the only coasters they let you sit in any row on. I think Maverick and SteVe are better rides, but I love how easy it is to get on Magnum! I always thought the first half of the double up into the mid course was SteVe's strongest ejector pop. It's the one I slam hardest back into my seat on. That Head Chop Drop is definitely one of my favorite moments though!
A few days ago, I rode shockwave in the back row, and got like 4 clicks of room. I came shooting out of my seat on that drop, so much to the point where I almost slammed my jaw on the handlebar
Great topic! I'd add: RoS @ Darien Lake- OG Intamin Hyper. Third hill, and final bunny hop before trim was installed (SFA too, but that ride never operated without the trim brake and Darien's did for most of 1999 season) S:RoS/ @ SFNE. Third and fourth hill (particularly fourth) Cyclops @ Mt. Olympus- Final hill, back row Skull Mountain- Back row Twister @ Knoebels- Front row, entrance to helix, end of long summer day Jack Rabbit- Kennywood Jurassic World VelociCoaster- most of it
My favorite airtime moment that I've experienced has to be either the last run of hills on Magnum or the second half of Steel Vengeance (especially when the midcourse doesn't hit)
a STRONG contender for this list: Tornado at Stricker's Grove. There's a strangely shaped drop in the middle of the ride - In the back row, it was downright terrifying, *especially* on my first ride since I wasn't expecting it at all. You get pulled up so forcefully and so quickly that you will likely slam your knee against the buzzbar or the walls of the train, and the seatbelt may painfully reel you in to save you from it being the last ejector moment of your life (I know, buzzbars still work without seatbelts, but I am trying to be dramatic). It absolutely felt like the single strongest moment of Ejector airtime in the state of Ohio to me, and stronger than anything on Phoenix. But part of that could be that you have some actual room to experience the ejector unlike on Maverick or Steel Vengeance.
I'm totally bewildered how anyone can leave out the stretch of ejector air time hills on the end of Phoenix that has propelled it into becoming the #1 wooden coaster in the world for a few years. I'm going to empathize with Airtime Thrills since he unknowingly committed gross negligence by not making Knoebels a full day visit . awesome vid, but shoutout to lightning run also at kentucky kingdom for the ending little camelbacks for sending me out harder than any other coaster ever has (including storm chaser and classic coaster at WSF)
My favorite airtime moment on a coaster I've ridden has to be the first drop on Timberhawk at Wild Waves. In the back row it keeps you floating out of your seat all the way down until the pullout.
Yes! I’ve been waiting for this video! I honestly haven’t ridden any RMCs as I live too far away from most to take a day trip and as much as everyone hypes them up I’m always wondering if the world famous airtime is actually strong airtime or weaker and people overhype it wanting quantity over quality.
Hi Chris! I've been watching your channel for a while and I'm really enjoying it. But being from the UK, I'd love for you to have a video talking about any coasters in the UK that you'd love to ride
Great to see Shock Wave getting some love! But to me, the strongest airtime on it is the drop after the one highlighted (the one after the station turnaround)
Maybe just different body sizes? I’ve managed to keep a bit of room with the bar though the loops and had almost standing airtime on that drop. It’s a quick pop since the drop is pretty shallow but it’s pretty insane IMO.
Lightning rod definetly needed to be on there! When I went on that at Dollywood, I felt like I was going to fly out at every hill!!! My thighs seriously hurt after that one 🤣
I got a lot of airtime on Goliath at over Georgia but your right, twisted cyclones ejector hill is insane, the lap bar alsmost ripped my thighs off though
I rode one of the new oversized SBF Visas over the weekend, and I no joke got powerfully flung out of my seat on the second drop on all 5 laps, made all the more intense by taking it backwards on all but 1 of the laps. I never would have expected that from a ride only 20' tall.

Every single thing you said about magnum i agree with 1000%
That's awesome!
2 words: ROLLIN’ THUNDERRRRRR!!!!!
Wow! I was not expecting Magnum to be on here... that is AWESOME! I gotta try that now! THANKS SO MUCH!
A few days ago, I rode shockwave in the back row, and got like 4 clicks of room. I came shooting out of my seat on that drop, so much to the point where I almost slammed my jaw on the handlebar
The headchop drop was my favourite element on Steel Vengeance
I rode Shambala at Portaventura and that first drop is crazy in the back row. One of the airtime hills is too
Great topic! I'd add:
RoS @ Darien Lake- OG Intamin Hyper. Third hill, and final bunny hop before trim was installed (SFA too, but that ride never operated without the trim brake and Darien's did for most of 1999 season)
S:RoS/ @ SFNE. Third and fourth hill (particularly fourth)
Cyclops @ Mt. Olympus- Final hill, back row
Skull Mountain- Back row
Twister @ Knoebels- Front row, entrance to helix, end of long summer day
Jack Rabbit- Kennywood
Jurassic World VelociCoaster- most of it
I absolutely love shockwave, one of the most underrated rides out there
My favorite airtime moment that I've experienced has to be either the last run of hills on Magnum or the second half of Steel Vengeance (especially when the midcourse doesn't hit)
a STRONG contender for this list: Tornado at Stricker's Grove.
Here is the legal protocol for yourself and other first time visitors to follow while at that working historic ride museum 1. You go during WEEKDAYS when ALL DAY passes are available . 2. You ride Phoenix front & back. 3. You then go & ride Phoenix's younger sibling Twister. 4. Take a couple more spins on Phoenix . 5. Go and ride the "Best In The Country" Bumper Cars .6. Take a few laps on Phoenix in different seats . 7. Go ride the "Best In The Country" Flyers. 7 More spins on the Phoenix . 8. Go ride "The Worlds Only " wooden bobsled coaster Flying Turns . 9 Return to Phoenix . 10 Go eat at the many food stands that have helped Knoebels win many "Best Amusement Park Food" awards . 11. Before returning to Phoenix take a relaxing 15 min + ride on either the Pioneer Train or Scenic Skyway .. 12. Back to Phoenix . 13. Go ride the "Best In The Country" classic old fashion dark ride Knoebels Haunted Mansion . 14. Ride Phoenix . 15 Get a coaster credit by riding the Steel Vengeance of kiddie coasters Kosmos Kurves . 16. Back to Phoenix . 17. Go ride the "Best In The Country " carousel The Grand Carousel that has permanently cemented that title . 18 Fly with the Phoenix . 19.Go for a flipping ride on Impulse . 20.Phoenix time . 21. Enjoy a ride and coaster credit on Black Diamond that was saved from the scrapheap . 22. Eat more award winning food . 23 Before returning to Phoenix take in 1 or all three museums : Knoebels History Museum . Mining Museum or Carousel Museum . 24 Night time rides on Phoenix . 25 . Ride a flat ride of your choice that you haven't ridden . 26. Phoenix . 27 Get a night time view on the intense drop tower ride StratosFear. 28.Enjoy final rides Phoenix . 29 Grab some great snacks before heading home . 30 Go to the Restroom .
I unknowingly rode the magic seat on Magnum XL-200 for my very first time on it, and I was blown away
Go to Camden park in West Virginia and ride in the very back. The first main drop is VICIOUS
awesome vid, but shoutout to lightning run also at kentucky kingdom for the ending little camelbacks for sending me out harder than any other coaster ever has (including storm chaser and classic coaster at WSF)
Zippin Pippin was my first coaster as a kid when it was at Libertyland in Memphis. Miss that place!
My favorite airtime moment on a coaster I've ridden has to be the first drop on Timberhawk at Wild Waves. In the back row it keeps you floating out of your seat all the way down until the pullout.
Man behemoth at wonderland has one of the most sustained floater airtime on a b&m hyper I’ve ever been on. Should’ve made the list for sure.
I‘d love to see where Expedition GeForce would be placed in this list...
I would put it in there more than once... The drop is insane in the back left, and that finale in the front is incredible🙌
The drop and the first hill are insane
So glad to see all Toro on the list twice that thing is amazing love it
Is wildfire a floorless with floors?
Leviathan‘s speed hill feels strong when running fast, also Expedition GeForce has some insane moments
Great to see Shock Wave getting some love! But to me, the strongest airtime on it is the drop after the one highlighted (the one after the station turnaround)
Really? That one got me a little airtime but not as crazy as the one i mentioned.
#1 to me
Class as per mate 💪
Omg the airtime on hang time is very powerful. That is my favorite part of the ride
I got a lot of airtime on Goliath at over Georgia but your right, twisted cyclones ejector hill is insane, the lap bar alsmost ripped my thighs off though
The double-down next to the queue on Wicked Cyclone at SFNE is always intense
I rode one of the new oversized SBF Visas over the weekend, and I no joke got powerfully flung out of my seat on the second drop on all 5 laps, made all the more intense by taking it backwards on all but 1 of the laps. I never would have expected that from a ride only 20' tall.
I think the drop after the turnaround by The Boss on Screaming Eagle in the back of the blue train deserves a mention
Screagle did nothing for me when i rode it in the second to back car
@@HangtimeThrills it’s the very back car that does it. Not the second to back car
0:03 if I’m the only theater kid here than this is awkward but did anyone else have a happy seizure here?
As soon as I saw this video I said to myself "I bet the ejector death hill on Zippin Pippin is number one". Chris, you lived up to my expectation! LOL
I can really see what u mean with diamond back. I’ve riden revelution at Blackpool. It’s insane. Plus this intro was great
